Our air conditioning went out on Sunday night and Monday and Tuesday were supposed to be the hottest days of the year. I called first thing Monday morning for service and Jen had a tech out to our house within 30 minutes of calling. Tech spent an hour trying to troubleshoot and to make the unit work but unfortunately it was gone. I had a quote with 5 options an hour after that and we made our choice and I called to let them know our decision and was told I'd have instillation the next morning. When Alec arrived to put our new unit in he was very professional and courteous. It was 92° in our home and we have 3 big dogs who really needed to be cooled off. He explained his process to me and let me know what he needed to replace and move around to make our new unit work. His meticulous work on the inside and out are much appreciated. As soon as he had the unit up and running he had me close all the windows so the house would start cooling down. He explained that it would be several hours before it would be down to the temp that was set but the unit would take out the humidity first and we all would feel better. I writing this 2 hours after he left and the house is only 4 degrees cooler, but our lower level feels 10-15° cooler and our dogs are relaxing in front of fans blowing cooler air. First I just want to send out our thoughts and prayers to Mary and the Maertin family. They lost Jeff earlier this year and it was a loss to all of us. Jeff and Mary's kindness to us and everyone else that have had the blessing of meeting them only confirmed that there are still truly kind people out there. Jeff and Mary have always been there for us since we bought our home in 1999 it didn't matter when we called for help no matter how busy they were they always made sure that someone came to our home to get our heat or ac back up and running. This whole organization is top notch. Everyone we have ever dealt with has been helpful and professional. We just had a complete heating and cooling system installed. We were comparing Maertin Heating's proposal to another company estimate. Scott answered all our questions. The other proposal initial cost was lower. Couldn't be happier with both the response from Maertin Heating & Cooling (Sandy) on an Emergency Call (1 hour), and the great Service Rep (Rich L.) that she sent us! Rich troubleshot the furnace (Zone Control issues), went to the shop to get me a whole new Zone Processor (mine was obsolete) and installed. Rich was a pure professional. When he left after the job was completed, I went downstairs and couldn't even tell somebody was down there for three hours ripping a furnace apart. No cleanup necessary! We have had a Service Contract with Maertin for 10 years, which we renew every year, and I'll be renewing annually from now on. While weed whacking with a steel blade at my parents house I got too close to the freon line and gashed it. I called and they said they didn't have any openings but could come out as an emergency service. I then later received a call back back and they said the job would need a normal hours due to day light to fix which was understandable. I asked if a Saturday service was available as I would not be around the next week and wanted to have my mistake taken care of. 15 minutes later I got a call back and was informed a tech would be at the house shortly. Frank the tech was wonderful he explained what he was going to do to fix it. He was able to fix the line and recharge the system very quickly. We called for service yesterday, July 4th. Left a message with answering service. By 7 am today, we received a call to set up service. Technician arrived by 8 am. Service was great. Within 30 minutes of arrival, our technician had our air conditioner up and running again. Honest, professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them for services. We use Maertin Heating & Cooling for all of our service checks, and we've always had a great experience. Our service rep, Rob, was very helpful and took the time to answer all of my questions about our humidifier and about adding an upstairs humidifier in the fall. I want to support a small business but as a person of color it makes me uncomfortable knowing they endorse GOP gubernatorial candidates that want to strip away rights from myself and my family. How can I hire them to do work with my AC when at the end of the day I know they don't value me as a customer because of my appearance and support of BLM. It's just too uncomfortable.
