Cinnamon churro cruffin (croissant/muffin). Really tasty.

So happy we found this charming coffee shop and bakery! While visiting Ennis, we desperately needed a coffee fix. They made a perfect espresso. Reminded me of the espressos I had in Italy. Robust and flavorful. They also have an delicious selection of house made bakery items. Fresh as can be. We tried a chocolate chip scone, cinnamon churro cruffin (croissant/muffin) and ham and cheese croissant. All were excellent. We went in the afternoon so they were sold out on some items. Will definitely stop by in the morning so we don't miss

Everything I got here was amazing! Their signature lattes are so good - not so sweet that you can't taste the coffee but enough to fully taste the flavor. Food is great, too and their green salsa is probably the best salsa I've ever had.

Really cute (and clean) coffee shop. We ordered the iced horchata latte and their one-of-a-kind chocolate chip cookies along with a blueberry pastry. The cookies were really yummy & very interesting because they were extra thick in the middle. If you love cookie dough, you'll love these cookies. The latte was perfect, not too sweet, good amount of ice. Service was excellent, it was quick even though they seemed busy at the time (a weekday at around 10am). *try to go within 2 hours of opening because I think they have more variety (and fresh) of pastries. We got there 3 hours after opening time. * P.S. I came all the way from Riverside,CA to try out La 57 can't wait to go back for another latte & cookie. see y'all soon

If you blink you miss it. Small coffee shop with front parking. Pastries that are very good, but 1st come first serve here. The latte and hot chocolate was real good. Sizing seem a bit off, small looks like kids size and medium looks small. The pricing is different from what I saw on yelp, times and the economy. It's kid friendly, such a plus. I liked the seating area, cleanliness, service and food. I'd come back again.

After eating lunch in downtown Ennis, I really wanted a good coffee. Someone recommended this place and boy were they right! Went in to get a coffee and realized they are a bakery too. Had to get some ham and cheese croissants for breakfast the next day. Really delicious. They also had some muffins and scones and other baked goods. The owner told they also have a La 57 food truck that serves at The Backyard - a new place around the corner. Really like the vibe here and the employees were friendly and helpful. This will be my new go to coffee place. What a great change of pace from boring, predictable Starbucks.

8 oz drip coffee?! Yes, It was tasty, but I asked the girls to add a packet of sugar in the raw and cream at time of order. You'd think I'd asked them to scrub the toilet. They were both giving me eyes and acted like no one in the history of ever has made this simple request. Yes, I tipped! I should've skipped the tip and stirred it in myself. Customer service is such an important part of the experience for me. Pastries were absolutely amazing. But I will probably enjoy them at Inclusion instead. Terrible parking for this busy location.

Well never did we ever expect to find real croissants in the little town of Ennis. This is one of those small places but the food is amazing! The service was quick and food came out hot.

This was so good! They have a good track that always sells out at the Dallas farmers market. Make the drive it's really pretty out there and tons going on.

The very first time I seen this bakery was at the Dallas Farmers Market. I was wondering what the very long line was about.. so I peaked over and their pastries looked so good. I fell in line and ordered their cinnamon croissant. It was tasty. Was the line worth it? Hmm no not really. Then.. a few weeks later I seen a post on instagram about their Supreme. It's basically a circular croissant with filling inside and dripping outside (fancy looking pastry) about 10-12 cm round. I was like oOoOo.. I have to try it.. every week they come out with new flavors and it seems as if it's so hard to get a hold of one. They sell out QUICK! So I called a few days ago asking what the flavors are for today and the barista responds.. "the baker does not like to announce the flavors until the morning of" which mind you they open at 9 am. So pretty much you have to go there to find out. (That's the catch) since you are already there even if you are not really a fan of the flavor your pretty much stuck since you fell in line and now you have to purchase at least one since it would be a waste of time.. anyway.. today my friend and I went to the Dallas location and at 9 am the worker said they will not have it any time soon due to the weather and flooding. So we basically went for nothing.. second, a few min later they show up with delivery so we just ended up buying a couple of their Supremes. It was pretty! HOWEVER, when we got home to enjoy these supremes.. it wasn't what I was expecting and hype people were hypin about was like WOW! I cut the supreme in half so we can get to the filling and the filling tasted so bad like a sweet spicy coffee hint. The worse thing was the texture of the supreme croissant was very dry and hard to chew. This was not what I expected. I was so disappointed spending so much time and $. The hype people are going around social media about this place isn't what it really seems to be. You are better off going to a coffee shop and ordering a butter croissant and coffee. Save your $!!! On top of that their employees were very rude and just lack customer service. It's not worth the time and money.

    Blueberry Pastry

As I was passing through Ennis I decided to stop in here. The girls who worked there were kind, the pastry was delicious and the latte was tasty.

They were not busy inside, I specify inside because they seemed to have a drive through that rolled to the back of the facility so I couldn't tell. Anywho, my grandbaby proceeds to happily order his 6 donuts, I noticed that the young lady at the counter seem to have something going on, but I figured I hope she's okay and proceeded to order, I haven't had a donut in a bit so I order a chocolate donut with peanuts, I asked her if she had filled donuts and she said we do I have to fill them, I asked what flavor and she says lemon and raspberry, the 2 flavors I can most definitely get, I order one and one. I get to my truck and I wrap what I assume is the lemon filled donut, because I can't see the filling through the little hole, anticipating a lemony mess, I finished eating the donut and realized that I had VERY little filling, perhaps a dot, I promise I'm not exaggerating, I get home and cut the raspberry FILLED donut in half with a serrated knife and lo and behold VERY LITTLE FILLING!! I know times are hard, I don't go here normally but perhaps this is the amount that is now given, I thought. So today Wednesday 6/17 I go to Snowflake Donuts by CVS around 11am and oh boy the difference, this time I didn't eat any in the truck, I got home and with the same serrated knife I cut them in half and Lord the difference and on top of that, the lady gives me a free donut thanking me for my business. My grandbaby loves this place, I hope this was one of those times when things were done unintentionally.

The Caesar salad was good, traditional, fresh, and the correct size. The garlic mashed potatoes were good. But the wagyu NY strip was just incredible. It was almost black on the outside and just warm on the inside, a perfect rare as wagyu beef should be. The meat was unctuous and delicious without being greasy or fatty. It was so richly umami flavorful, perfectly seasoned. It was just an excellent steak. The bourbon bread pudding was a huge serving and wonderfully flavorful. There was some nice bread to go with the meal too. The smoked old fashioned cocktail before dinner was excellent. And I got a nice Cabernet that perfectly paired with the steak. Our server was casual but friendly with a good balance of hospitality and service. This was truly a great dinner and one of the best steaks I've ever had... and all of this in Ennis, Texas. Seating is not ideally comfortable for a one and a half to two hour dinner, ambience is not too loud, but not exactly leaning on the side of anything remotely formal. Good for groups, good if you like steak....I will say if you like steak that is overcooked with a 1/2inch burned crust and very salty. Was excited to try the wagyu filet but it was overdone and impossible to enjoy the tenderness when you had to bite through so much burnt. Noticed that they serve a crème brûlée, and unfortunately, it did not live up to it its hype: I received a oval dish about 6 inches long that had a smidge over - I kid you not - a quarter an inch of crème brûlée, including the soggy caramelized crust. When I ran my spoon from one end of the dish to the other, it barely filled up half the utensil - it was rather saddening. Now I am the kind of person that believes in at least a "two times whack" with the bottom of the spoon in order to break the lovely caramel crust on top of a crème brûlée; this poor little dessert was not even thick enough for the spoon to rest upon the crème brûlée without it sinking to the bottom of the dish instantly. Positive notes, our waitress was a little misinformed on the menu, she might've been new and so that was not her fault as she did well in trying to accommodate our party of three - one who is particularly hard of hearing - and their Caesar salad was average, but nothing outstanding, along with the potatoes and brussels sprouts we got along alongside the meal. All this being said, if you like a variety of big pieces of overcooked salted meat with a thick crust, this is the place for you.
