Another excellent experience, great flavorful food in large portions served hot and delicious. Excellent attentive and friendly service. Our family always enjoy coming to Romas. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and many large screen tv's to keep you informed on your favorite activities. They have a full bar as well. My choice place for Italian in Waxahachie. read more

I ordered the chicken piccata. The menu says "chicken breast sauteed with capers in our white wine lemon garlic butter sauce with pasta" but there was a tough bitter green herb thrown in there. That's it. I had no idea something with so many great flavors could taste SO BLAND! I tasted my son's chicken parm and it was also bland. Really, really depressed. My wife and I tried to go here tonight (Friday 3/27/2026). The restaurant was busy, but there were THREE sets of tables where tables were pushed together, any of which could be separated for just us two. We do not wish to sit at the bar as my wife is short, and I'm 64. There was nobody waiting. The wait staff told us we would have to wait 15-20 minutes for a smaller table to come open. I'm sorry but my bill coming here is never less than $55-60. So you turned away a sure sale for the maybe sale to a larger group that was not there. She didn't say she had reservations for groups coming. So not only did you send me off and not get my business tonight, but it will be a long time before we come back. Now that Waxahachie has many more options, and an economy that is not too good right now, not exactly a prudent business move. read more

Wow. Wow. Wow. It has been so hard finding a good Italian restaurant in Waxahachie, but this gem is definitely worth the visit! I got the penne a la vodka and it was INCREDIBLE. Service was amazing, the girls were so kind and attentive. I had Kait as my waitress and she has the best bubbly personality and is super kind. (Not to mention our birthdays are 2 days apart haha). They told me they just opened here in March but there is another one in the Colony that's has been there over 25 years. Well I can tell you this little Italian LOVES Romas and will be back with anyone I can bring to show off this new gem we have here in Hachie! Went on a busy Friday night. Waited about 20 mins for seats at the bar. No problem. All the waitstaff was friendly. My husband had a pasta dish with chicken, sausage, spicy cherry peppers, etc. in a vodka sauce and I had fettuccini. Rolls were big and fluffy. Side salad was large. No complaints whatsoever. For a brand new restaurant, things were flowing pretty well. Our waitress was kind and helpful. My calzone was absolutely fantastic and I am very picky. We just happened on this place and totally loved it. They were nice as soon as we walked in. Kelci was our waiter and she was kind and kept a friendly smile. The food...my goodness, this is authentic Italian food. I had the shrimp scampi, it was excellent, just the right amount of seasoning (and I don't like no bland food), the bread was home made with olive oil, it was soft and hot. If zero stars were an option....I am so aggravated right now. I called in my order, my order was repeated back to me, and they left my entree out. Took the family here today for a late Saturday afternoon lunch/early dinner to avoid the crowd's of Mother's Day tomorrow. They have a dining room downstairs or rooftop patio upstairs. We opted for the patio, I was not sorry at all. It is a very comfortable setting with couches, tables, TVs and plenty of shade. I enjoyed the Seafood Special. My daughter has a cheese pizza, my other daughter had Chicken Alfredo, my husband and youngest had Baked Ziti. We enjoyed the Calamari for an appetizer. Desert included Strawberry Cheesecake, Cannoli's and Limoncello Cake. My 2 kids had virgin margaritas and I had tea, their tea was extremely delicious and I am known to be picky about tea specifically so I was impressed with that. We spent $177 for the 5 of us (kids are 16, 13 and 12, they eat like adults) The food was absolutely heavenly, it was hot and fresh. It came out quickly and we had no issues with anything being wrong. The server was incredibly kind and attentive. We sat on the roof top, which wes beautiful and quiet. I'm excited to go back over here one evening with my husband for a date night when it's all lit up. The garlic bread appetizer that is complimentary was light, fluffy and warm. I'm very excited to have a place like this in Waxahachie. It was quickly deemed my youngest child's new favorite place to eat. read more

The food came out quickly and was hot. That started out well. Our waitress was respectfully hovering. Sweet and efficient. My wife had the Judge's Special. This is a grilled chicken dish and it was loaded with lots of sautéed chicken and veggies. She gave it a 5 star for quantity as well as taste. It did look very appetizing. I chose the shrimp scampi with linguine. Here was the 4 star. The shrimp was a tad overcooked and I guess I was supposed to tell the chef to remove the tail shell. If I wanted to eat and peel shrimp I would have asked for it. Next was the portion. Come on guys pasta is way cheap. Put a little more on the plate. The lemon butter garlic sauce was excellent. Will be going back again soon. Just have to learn how they are doing certain things and I'm sure it will be much better. Oh and this is an Italian restaurant. Went to Roma's today for first time. Our waitress Kaitie was fantastic! She was professional, attentive and fun! I order the Chicken Piccata and it was delicious. Wait staff are courteous and ambiance is nice. Found it strange that they played country music in an Italian restaurant but hey..it's Texas. This was our second visit and likely our last as there is better Italian around. The food was ok but nothing to rush back for. I love brick oven pizza and was excited to try it and we ordered the Supreme. For $22, it was light on meat toppings and not very tasty. (we ended up taking half of it home, hoping it is better cold.) We also had the stuffed mushrooms and again, not terrible but lacked flavor. Bread was good along with the Olive oil garlic dipping sauce. Wife loves Italian and she also found it mediocre at best. May give it some time and see if it improves. read more

The ambiance and service was great but the Italian needed seasoning. To me the spaghetti sauce tasted like Ragu sauce out of a jar. I can make better Italian food at home.
