After a rough year or so and some adjustments to not having enough staffing Panza's has reopened to just a few days a week and it is during prime dinner time. And, Surprise, they didn't disappoint. They have new delicious pasta dishes used with their oils that they sell here. You have to try it...you don't know what you are missing! They also still have several selections of ice cream, my favorite being the tiramisu ice cream. There is a new small outside section to sit and enjoy dinner or drinks! read more

Food here is always exceptional! I got my "go to", Porcini Mushroom Pasta, rolled angel hair pasta with mushrooms and olive oil. Subtle, but always delicious. My husband ordered the "Rosa", lasagne, rolled, instead of flat, surrounded by the best marinina. Fabulous! Ambience and service are excellent! One of our favorites! read more

We really enjoyed this place, the bright airy style is inviting and fun! You order at the counter, where they have examples of the dishes available, as well as their delectable desserts. The owner is so great, he walks around checking on tables, explaining the menu as well as the olive oil and balsamic bar! You can go do a tasting while waiting for your food. The variety of flavors in the infusions they've created is amazing! The dishes are all cooked with their house-made infused olive oils. We ordered a flatbread, a caesar salad, the lemon chicken pasta, an Italian sandwich with a side of soup, wine, and beer for three is us to share. All the dishes were light and fresh, really good Italian-style food. The lemon chicken pasta could have had more chicken, but it was delicious and beautifully presented, the soup (minestrone) was perfect, the sandwich was toasted and loaded with an assortment of Italian meats. As first-time customers, we were given a free cannoli each, crunchy, creamy, with a lovely vanilla flavor...what a nice surprise! After tasting the cannolis we went back to order more desserts to-go, we took the chocolate truffle ball and a slice of their home-made chocolate ice cream home...wowee...that chocolate truffle ball was outstanding...sooo good! The home-made ice cream was amazing too, very rich and creamy. This place is perfect for a casual family dinner, a lunch during the week, or as a quick stop to pick up some amazing desserts. Tucked away right off the main Wax square, Panzas sits waiting for you to discover it. You're greeted by a clean front of the restaurant, with outdoor seating if you choose to brave the heat. The interior is well laid out, and very clean. Large glass display cases showcase each item that they offer. We opted for the super thin and crispy pizzas, one meat, and one Margherita. Both were excellent! They also have large cases full of authentic home-made desserts. The cannolis were excellent and were free (2) of them for it being our first visit there. Staff was super friendly and personable. Owner greeted us, refilled our waters, and we were checked up on multiple times. Definitely a hidden gem with true authentic Italian food. They recently debuted new pasta dishes as well that we can't wait to try! read more

My favorite place to eat by far. I wasn't sure if my picky 10 year old son would agree. Came in tonight so WE could eat dinner but HE ate it ALL. A meat pizzetta, muffalettta, caesar salad, blood orange sanpellegrino, and a chocolate truffle . He now has a favorite place too. This place is amazing. Family owned, fresh, fast, and fairly priced . Doesn't get much better than this! read more

When I picked it up, it did not look like my inspiration pictures. There were purple flowers on the sides with pink one (no purple in the inspiration pic), no pearls, no vintage lattice work-just pipped the flowers on the sides with green stems (no stems in the pic) and the top writing. I was disappointed. I asked them to include blue flowers to balance out that it felt a little too girly, and they went back and added them which made it look better. I am not sure if the inspo pics got lost in the shuffle or if too much creative lee-way was taken but either way, I felt a little let down but was not going to let it ruin my day. However, on the drive home I still felt like it was pretty, but just not what I had in mind. I decided to call Bittersweet which is local to us and ask if they could add a few elements like the lattice and pearls. Faith was so kind on the phone and told me to bring it in being also clear that they aren't gluten free. I understood, but since we don't have true allergies I told her I was comfortable with them fixing it. It would not medically harm anyone if there was cross contamination. When I got there I showed her the original picture and sent it to her personal phone. Later I went to pick it up after taking my little to lunch, it came out it and was FANTASTIC! They added all the elements it was missing that I wanted and loved. It still doesn't exactly match my pictures but it looks SO cute now and I am very very happy! When I went to pay, she told me to just go enjoy my cake and that they were happy to help. THIS is how you win business, friends!! ANYTIME, I am ordering goodies, back to school treats for teachers, holiday yummies or cakes that aren't for my GF kids, I will be getting them from Bittersweet!!!! Thank you, Faith!!!

This is a great little business. I've been there twice now and the food is wonderful. The first time I got their Caesar salad and it was really fresh and delicious. This time my husband went with me. He got the pepperoni and sausage flat bread pizzetta. He always has a complaint of some kind no matter the restaurant. But this time, no complaints. He said it was great and very flavorful and the pepperoni and sausage were excellent. He also liked the sauce. I could not believe my ears but that's what he said! I had the caprese and a side of pasta salad. Both were yummy! They also have some great dessert cookies and serve Italian ice cream by the slice. I've only had their wedding cookies and they were delicious. They have a limited menu because it's a small restaurant but their choices are really good and very delicious. They also have a small Italian "market" with an array of Italian wines and at least 12 flavors of olive oil that you can sample with crusty bread cubes. They also carry a variety of custom Italian pastas and a few other items. All the food is very fresh and the place is clean. I will definitely be going back whenever I can and highly recommend this gem of a restaurant in downtown Waxahachie a few shops down from the corner of Rogers and Main Streets. read more

My wife and I went earlier today. We shared a goat cheese bruschetta which was flavorful and had wonderfully fresh diced Roma tomatoes and basil. It was delicious. My wife chose the meat pizzeta and I chose the veggie one. We shared those too and they were wonderful. They are like a pizza made on a long flour tortilla, slightly crispy but flavorful. We then shared a lemon Amaretto cookie and a slice or Tiramisu ice cream. They were a perfect topping to an incredible meal. It was great and not expensive at all, reasonable prices. First time I went there were problems with the food quality but the young lady at the cashier was kind and had a great personality and smile,so I reached out to Management via feedback and they got the problem resolved. It was so good that I went back in and bought more so that I could take it home to PLANO, Texas to my wife who enjoyed it thoroughly. Again we had the same cashier whose catchphrase was I got you! She made it a nice experience. Tonight was just a reflection of poor Management top to bottom. The cashier looked irritated to be there and did not crack even a grin. She wore a scowl. No graciousness, no kindness. I did not feel welcome to be there. I placed my to go order on the app I went in at the appropriate time and they did not have my order. They had to search for it and then finally after we went through and I showed the order she took it over to the service line where they promptly informed me it would be 20 minutes to make the chicken. I wasn't in a big hurry and the woman who was in the line doing the serving was also very kind and had a nice smile and she make me feel like it was going to be taken care of properly so I waited. You can also tell the person working The Grill on the line was experienced. After about 25 minutes, my food did come out, but my order was wrong. I paid for a substitute to get the salad. I had to go back in and let them know. I was missing the salad. The same girl at the register then handed me a salad with the blue cheese dressing and walked in the opposite direction. I don't recall hearing an apology or anything kind or come back welcoming. Just the opposite. The salad that she handed me was disgusting! It was about halfway full, and most of the lettuce was brown and wilted. there were no carrots. There were no tomatoes. It was just sad. It looked like it had been served and then put back. So I'm sitting in my car and looked at this and decided I spent extra money for this and I wasn't going to accept it. I went back in and let her know that the salad was not appropriate and showed her what it looked like. She immediately threw it into the trashcan, but did not offer to look for one that was fresher when I asked if there was one that looked better. So I stated that I would just take the grilled vegetables. At that point, she said that's going to be another 5 to 7 minutes. At this point, I've been There nearly half an hour between waiting for my order and waiting in line to get my order and then waiting to return things that we're not right in line. So I. told her no, I wasn't gonna wait another 5 to 7 minutes for vegetables when I've been there that long. I started to walk away and then she said well what if I have another salad? She reached in and brought out a perfectly good, nice looking salad the difference was night and day! I have no idea why they served that junk that they handed me the first time. Again, no apology no graciousness. Just handing me the salad. I'm sorry but this place needs management training. Serious management training. The chicken itself was tasty. In fact, it was good, but I have a feeling that the macaroni was too warm as I've had it before. Based on my experience, I don't feel safe coming here in the future. Too many problems and too many opportunities to get sick or be given something which isn't right. Sadly, I when it's right I love the chicken, but it just isn't worth the drama. I can spend my money elsewhere and get consistent product and generally someone with a smile or at least that doesn't resent me being there as customer. Sadly **** NOT RECOMMENDED ****
