Still my go to place for authentic tamales rojas, but the price is now $3 per tamale. Tamales are available Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I go to this place for the first time looking for a decent bakery. I bought 4 pounds of cookies,…read morewhich were pretty good. I also bought a few rolls and a couple of pieces of Borracho, which were also good. Then I asked for a Pineapple Upside down cake that was in the case. All total it came to about $70,00. This was on Friday morning, June 19th. I came home, put the cake and the cookies in the refrigerator because I was going to take it to my brother's house the next day. The next day Saturday the 20th, I took a box of the cookies and the Pineapple cake to my brothers. I took the cake out of the box. Not only was it stale, but when my sister-in-law cut the cake, underside was covered in BLACK MOLD! Imagine my embarrassment for bringing stale moldy cake to give to brother and his family! I was thinking about going back with the cake and asking for a refund. But for the $10.00 I paid for it, it's not worth the aggravation. But that's the first and last time I go to Torino's. Apparently, they'll leave shit in the case to go stale and moldy and sell it to some sucker who walks into the place and buys it. That's no way to do business and maybe the health department should take a look at what's going on at Torino's bakery.

All fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. Fresh cones and hot waffles? Sign me UP! Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a Beacon stroll and I'm so happy we found this gem and got to try them! The dark chocolate ice cream has my heart! Vegan and gluten free options available as well. Their concept is shcoops for all: anyone and everyone should be able to have ice cream! So they've made nut free, celiac safe, gf, v and even pup cups! With their pull up window, it's so easy to order, especially if you have a dog! Love this place, the people that work here, the story and the shcoops! Can't wait to be back with my pup.

I sampled a couple of flavors Mango and Strawberry and my pick was Strawberry followed by Mango , as it was more sweeter compared to the Mango which was a bit more tangy . We also tried a few other flavors like chocolate with sprinkles and Honey comb . Honey comb turned out being the most popular among our group. Their single scoops are small but you can get a large triple scoop too. They have an ATM inside the Food Hall for those who need it. Cute cozy dessert joint !

I also got avocado toast with eggs, and the avocado was nice and fresh. I'm not the biggest fan of their home fries, but that's just personal preference. I overall did enjoy my meal, and I'd definitely come back when I come to visit again. Location: This location is modern, yet it has a really cool vintage aesthetic, especially when you walk in and see the bar area. It's very spacious and perfect for a breakfast day, spending time with the family, or even going on a solo brunch. Sitting at the bar would be ideal. If I'm not mistaken, this location did not have parking, and we did have to look for street parking. It was a tad tedious because it is a pretty busy street, Still, it is worth going to. We did end up finding parking within 15 minutes, and if you're OK with that, then that should not be an issue. This is a casual attire breakfast spot. Service: The service was great, and our server was very kind and was able to serve a group of six of us with no issues.

The restaurant was busy but we were able to score a table. My wife ordered the Falafel burger with a side salad and I ordered the Vegan pancakes with Strawberries, bananas, and a side of homemade sausage. My wife loved her burger. Fat burger cooked fresh and on a brioche bun. My pancakes were good. Just the right amount of sweetness but very light on the bananas and strawberries. The homemade sausage was excellent. Two flat patties. Service was friendly but just ok. The prices are higher than your normal establishment for breakfast or lunch. Rent in Beacon is probably high. There is street parking but you are better off finding a public lot. The bathrooms were clean which is always a good thing.
