Probably the worst cupcakes I've ever had. I stopped in and bought 2 red velvet and one chocolate. Over $5 each so not cheap. They were all stale and tasted like old commercial bakery cake and icing. Really awful. I tasted the red velvet and the cream cheese frosting was off, strange taste. Chocolate cupcake super dry, stale and frosting grainy. Annoyed I wasted $15. They were FAR from fresh, my guess is they were frozen long ago then thawed today? Just gross. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with this bakery. I specifically requested blue frosting for a children's party and received purple instead. I also ordered cake pops, which were never made or provided. When I brought this to their attention, the staff refused to issue a refund or offer any meaningful solution--only a store credit, which I declined. When I asked to speak with the manager or owner, I was told the employee had never met them and that they wouldn't speak with me or get involved. That level of indifference and lack of accountability is extremely unprofessional. I'm now left with cupcakes that are not what I ordered and no cake pops, despite paying for them. Stopped in quickly to get some cupcakes. My time was short and I knew the reason I was there was to surprise my sister who loved "home made" butter cream. So I thought a few cupcakes, no problem! When I walked in, there were so many options that looked really good and I started to order, but towards the back I saw some cakes and asked about ones with buttercream. I was told the one I pointed at was all buttercream icing. Wow home run so instead of cupcakes I got a cake and had them write happy birthday on it. No problem and they got right to it, I was on my way and surprised my sister. Later on in the day she called to tell me how much she enjoyed the cake, and how well she enjoyed the homemade buttercream! I have to say this place really is good and well worth the money spent! I have been ordering desserts from Antonio's for 7 years. I no longer recommend this business to anyone. I ordered a graduation cake for my son that cost us $141. We were harassed for a pre-payment that I have never paid before. They couldn't initially find the receipt for the cake. To make matters worse we picked up a cake that was not cooked completely, the design looked like my 10yr old did it. I don't know who needs to hear this but they order most if not all of the baked goods from Restaurant Supply. What they do bake there the ingredients are all Walmart brands. Antonio's Cupcakes are the best hand down in the area. I was introduced a couple of years ago when they were at their first location. I love all of their cupcakes, cake and desserts. If you have a sweet tooth this is the place for you. They have coffee and seating area as well. Not the most chic or prettiest of places but nevertheless, I go for the cupcakes not the decor. I went in for a cupcake. I didn't know the original owner was no longer operating there. I could tell right away that something was not right. I bought a "Classic Chocolate" cupcake. It was just plain awful. It cost over $5.00 for one cupcake. I'm assuming they were trying to go for buttercream frosting. It was a very bland fatty mess with absolutely no taste. There was barely any chocolate cake in the cupcake paper; just nearly two inches of what one might call frosting. I was very disappointed. Most of it ended up in the trash. This place used to have the best macarons. now under a new owner, the macarons are horrible! Last week I went to make a large order of macarons. I bought three extra macarons to try because they looked different. Every flavor looked brown but they were overcooked, so I immediately canceled that order. Later, over the phone, I spoke with a girl who identified herself as "The One There The Longest." She said she was "away" when that batch was made. Ahh Ok?.... I Asked to speak with the manager, she said there was no designated manager, Only Farva and some glorified bookkeeper guy. (I spoke to once before) Both are absent from production. So, to sum up: girl there the longest with no formal culinary education, Acting chef over incompetent workers. I sent Miss Scott an email and I asked to have the money back for my remaining unsent gift cards. She is too cowardly to call me back so I'll say it here: It's not a coffee shop Farva. You need to hire a culinary expert to maintain quality. You ruined a perfectly fine business. You could have spent less money to fail. I ordered a cake from here for my daughters birthday and it just went wrong. The presentation of the cake was very nice but they forgot to add things that I asked for on the cake. When we took it out to eat the taste wasn't very pleasant, the frosting was buttercream but was more than an inch thick and as well wasn't sweet, just tasted like lard. The filling was supposed to be vanilla but was the buttercream instead and as for the actual cake it was almost dry. One of the workers was welcoming as we walked in but as when I told them there was something missing from the cake they got annoyed. I have been ordering cakes from Antonio's for several years. His cakes are so delicious, the flavor is always there and never dry. I even ordered a gluten free cake for my daughters communion and nobody was able to tell the difference. He is very easy to communicate with and will definitely guide you if you are not sure what do to or are indecisive like myself. We particularly like the buttercream and the chocolate ganache. The best part is that his cakes are reasonably priced! You will pay more if you are having custom fondant pieces made as he has someone who comes in that charges him by the hour. All of my guests have really enjoyed his cakes and I enjoy telling them where I ordered from. A wonderful local family business to support! Thank you for always doing such an amazing job. I called Antonio's bakery back in January as a last minute attempt to get my son's 5th birthday cake due to a fail notice from another bakery shop out in New City. THANKFULLY the wonderful people in Antonio's came into a clutch, the best one at least. I called in and ordered a Sonic themed cake for my son's (quarantine) bday. I originally got a taste of their cake from a friend who had a private gender reveal cake - super good, it was a raspberry with white chocolate ganache. For my son's Sonic themed birthday cake we went with a sprinkles birthday cake flavor and oh my! deliciousness. Since it was last minute I understood they couldn't added any fondant or any 3D designs to it, so the best they could do was an edible picture. When we picked up the cake my heart was tickled and overjoyed to see they put in fondant gold rings to the cake. My son thought it was the coolest thing in the world! The cake was moist and wasn't as sweet as the usual cakes you get. The second cake order experience we had with the bakery was a walk in in hopes to find another birthday cake to surprise our friends son who happens to be a cadet in West Point. We picked up another sprinkles cake. We asked to get a simple "Happy Birthday" writing on top, our choices were black or purple, we chose black, and to our surprise they added gold edible star confetti to the cake. Super fitting for the Cadet. Flavor was consistent to the first cake we ordered. All around best everything with Antonio's bakery. We are ever so thankful to them for providing top notch customer service. I highly recommend them. And you betcha we WILL be back for more special occasions. read more

This place is OK. For a place that calls itself a "cupcake factory" I was expecting to be wowed. The ingredients are an A+ with real buttercream icing. Consistency with flavor leaves more to be desired. They do a 6 pack of cupcakes for $14 (used to be $12). The cream cheese in the icing of the red velvet cupcake is almost non-existent while the hershey kiss vanilla frosting red velvet was OK. The caramel icing on the vanilla and chocolate salted caramel cupcakes was so overpowering and sweet that one could not tell the difference in flavor between either cupcake. The carrot cake was very dense and again they were light-handed on the cream cheese icing, tasted mostly like buttercream. The carrot cake was also overdone. As a red velvet and carrot cake fan, it was a bit of a let down. The best cupcake in the pack was the "sugar cookie" flavored cupcake. Was having a nice dinner date and we wanted cake. This is what I'm given. A frosting smeared box and smashed up cake. The young girl came to ring me up with frosting all over her hand. At one point it looked like she was struggling to slice the chocolate cheesecake and when she finished slicing she grabbed it with her hand. I assumed she had those clear gloves on! Doesn't appear she did from the mess. I asked what happened and she tells me it's "just" frosting. I asked for another box or a bag and says she has none. Something told me to look in the box and couldn't believe my eyes. I say "Ohh what happened here" and she says super nasty "I don't know! I just put them in!" It's all smashed and broken up how am I to serve this. Tells me "Idk what to tell you!" proceeds to act like I'm bothering her with her huffing and puffing like I did something wrong. I think she really expected me to take this box as is and leave. As if it was perfectly fine. $16 ? I don't think so. The chocolate cheesecake is literally smashed upside down. The only thing wrapped in wax paper was the cookie; wedged up in an already over stuffed box. Other two slices smushed into each other. It all looks so embarrassing to be honest. I ask if Antonio was there I'd like to see him. Other girl steps to the back and comes back out and starts pulling out cakes. I thought she'd say he would be out in a moment. I ask her if he was coming out and she said no because he's too busy!! Too busy to tend to a customer in his own bakery??? I'm shocked he wouldn't speak to a customer or stand by his products. Unfortunately, this wasn't a "he's busy would you mind waiting?" I showed these pics to a few to get their opinions. They all suggested I leave a review. I can say though that their Cheesecake buttercream tastes exactly like cheesecake. Grandpa Joes (shortbread/jam) cookies are delicious. The Strawberry Almond Delight a huge favorite. Going back worth the 30 minute ride? The verdict is in, this place is....just ok! 3.5 star rating for me! Often times I fall victim to the Yelp sensation of amazing reviews and visit a place expecting multiple mouth orgasms only to meet disappointment. Imagine meeting that knock out mate only to find out they can't kiss, talk about a buzz kill. Reviews for this place set me up for disappointment but it wasn't a total bust. First off the selection for walk-ins is minuscule at best. The owner would probably disagree but when you compare the available selection here to other pastry shops there is a big difference but maybe that's because of the volume of customers he gets (too few at the moment). I visited this place because of the mention of Macaroons. I purchased several cup cakes of different varieties and my satisfaction with the cupcakes varied greatly. The chocolate cupcake was to die for, the red velvet was good then I got to the yellow cupcake and it was average at best. I'm not sure if the yellow cupcake sat out longer than the rest but that was probably my biggest disappointment with cupcakes. Then I just kept wondering why all the cupcakes could not be like the chocolate cakes I had (two of them) which were absolutely to die for. If those cakes were consistent like the chocolate I would have said for certain this was the best place on earth. As for the macaroons, don't walk in expected to sample those. The baker does very few of them and for good reason. Those are time consuming to make and not worth the effort if customers are not buying them regularly. So I custom ordered a dozen to may satisfaction BUT his macaroons were in no way as good as Macaroon Cafe in NYC. Macaroons were slimmer than I'm used to, filling tasted spot on but the cookie shell was harder than I expected. We let them sit out for over two hours before trying to make sure they were not frozen but the longer they sat out there was no change in softness. Macaroons were worth what I paid but you get what you pay for so Macaroons in NYC still gets my business at almost $3 a pop (worth every penny). Bottomline: This is not a bad place and depending on exactly what you order, you may be extremely satisfied or possibly disappointed. Mileage may vary depending on your taste/order. Maybe I'm a NYC snob that's used to over priced pastries but that's ok I'd take that as a compliment. :o) read more

Omg!!!!! I had the Chocolate chip Cookie. It was too die for. Sooo buttery sooo sweet sooooo good & I hadn't even warmed it up. I had the red velvet cupcake but I wasn't really a fan. It had the right things: light and fluffy with cream cheese icing but I wasn't in love. But the chocolate chip cookie I would come back everyday for it. Everything was definitely fresh & delicious. We had over 100 people at the event and everyone stopped me to find out where the cake was from stating it was the BEST cake they EVER had! I chose the white velvet cake with strawberry filling.
