I visited La Belle Elaine's for my first try-on appointment with my best friend and was assisted by Justys. We went at noon on a Friday and had the entire store to ourselves, which made me feel extremely comfortable. My budget was $3000 and almost all dresses in the salon were within budget. I wanted to try a variety of styles and fabrics to determine what I liked. Justys was SO supportive and helpful! She let us pick out a variety of dresses and also threw in a few recommendations of her own. Said yes to the dress today at La Belle Elaine's! Big shout out to Justys for helping me throughout the process. I had been to a handful of bridal shops prior to going here and right from the start she put me at ease. She was also really great at clipping dresses compared to a lot of other places (this can make a big difference!). I had a vision but HATE making big decisions and she was the perfect amount of hype women while also helping guide my thought process to ultimately decide between the two i loved. I went by myself the first appointment and she took lots of photos for me which i really appreciated. I never felt any pressure from anyone to pick and buy a dress and making my initial and follow up appointment were super easy. Response time of email is quick. There was a good selection of dresses, well organized, and you could touch and feel everything. I loved that she picked a handful of dresses based on my description of my style, budget, and wedding location. They have a really fun runway and i appreciate that it spans from the front of the store (more natural/sunlight) to the back (more artificial light) so you can see the dress in all the views of light + lots of mirrors. I brought my friend the second visit and it was so fun to wear the dress and "hang out" in it for a bit to make sure it was comfortable. Dresses: I really liked that their dress racks are organized by style, which helped with browsing because I had narrowed down which fit I wanted. The price point here is 1500-3000. Service: Geneva was awesome and pulled a couple dresses that fit my vision, as well as a few surprise ones that I ended up really liking. I fell in love with a dress here, but to order it custom would have put it out of my price range, however I was able to get it off the rack. Claire (my sales associate) assured me (a few times) that it would look 'good as new' after getting it dry cleaned. I bought the dress, assuming if dry cleaning will bring it back to white, I got a pretty good deal. I also signed something saying I could not return the dress for any reason. Well, I brought my dress in today to a highly reputable dry cleaner's who do wedding dresses. They said they would not dry clean the dress due to the beading (the plastic pearls are likely to melt)! She showed me the tag for cleaning instructions in the dress -- and right there: "SPOT CLEAN ONLY"! They're going to try to "wet clean" the dress in effort to avoid any beads melting, but I'm very nervous... If you're buying a dress here (*the dress shopping itself was a great experience, for what it's worth*), and you're getting if off the rack-- DOUBLE CHECK THE CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS ON THE DRESS before you commit to purchasing! LOCATION & PARKING // It's located in Eastlake on Eastlake Ave and I found parking on the street. It wasn't hard to find parking since this area is a residential place. MAKING AN APPOINTMENT // As their website states, you can call or email them to set up an appointment. I had to go during COVID-19 so I knew appointment slots would be limited. I tried calling them a couple of times but I never got a hold of anyone or received a callback from my voicemail. When I emailed them, I received a response pretty quickly to schedule the appointment. SERVICE // Honestly, when we got there, we checked in and we were told they pulled dresses already for us. I really liked the hands-off approach because I didn't feel pressured or bothered. My friend and I did our own thing with trying on dresses and it was chill. SELECTION OF DRESSES // So... listen, I understand the issue of the bridal dress industry but I had a difficult time with the sizing of the sample dresses. Stacy and team supported my bride (MOH here) as she found the dress of her dreams at their store but was soon due to relocate to another state. They were able to review it for quality control on arrival and priority ship to her new location after her move outside of Seattle. Truly we had a hard time deciding between all the beautiful dresses, which from my previous experience as a bride isn't always the case at some shops! On my search for the perfect dress, I'm so glad I came across La Belle Elaines. I'm from Alaska and I don't have many places to shop from, thus making my way to Seattle. My bridal consultant Emily was an absolute doll! She was super nice and sweet! I found a gorgeous wedding dress, but as an overthinker that I am, I didn't say yes right away. They were nice enough to let me sleep on it and to let me call them the following day if I wanted to try that dress again. Surely enough, I couldn't stop thinking of the dress, and called them that morning to schedule a second fitting. They were able to squeeze me in. My first appointment was amazing, my stylist was Geneva. She was super nice and helpful! Unfortunately when I went back for my alterations I was treated so horrible! Unfortunately Geneva was not there, and I believe it was the manager there that was "helping" me. She was not friendly at all. As I was trying to explain my vision of my dress (which I had discussed in my first appointment) she acted like she "didn't" understand me, and made me feel it was because of my accent, which was extremely rude. I was so excited to be there with my future mother-in-aw and sister-in-law, and at the end I left feeling embarrassed of bringing them there to be treated so poorly, and also left super sad. As we were walking out they encouraged me to not let anyone talk to me like that and that we could take the dress somewhere else, so I went back to the store and told them I didn't want to do alterations there. Maybe they were "nice" with me on my first appointment when I was buying the dress, and then my second appointment that's why they treated me so poorly? Not sure, but I don't recommend this place at all! Picking your wedding dress should be a magical moment for every bride! Was honestly my real first experience with dress shopping, I had only done a pathetic little mall run in Auburn just to get a feel of trying on gowns. This world ladies is a whole nother ballpark that you know nothing of if it's your first time or marriage. I have been blown away with the way planning a wedding ended up being like in reality compared to what I assumed. Save as much money as soon as you can and get that dress FIRST! Anyway, was iffy about La Belle Elaine's Bridal because of mixed reviews and I didn't want any scenes from Pretty Woman going down if it was a snobby boutique. So, when my appointment came I acted as if I wasn't really trippin about what I intend to spend (SORRY LADIES....) not smart! Do not do that, it's just gonna leave your heartbroken or worse yet, ruin your beautiful day all together. Don't get me wrong, I didn't go all out roll playing and pretending to be a millionaire's bride or any garbage like that (kinda might have been fun though hehe LoL). I just said the dress is the most important thing, it is what it is as far as cost basically. I went there with an exact dress/ idea in mind and I don't budge when I know what I want. I was open to trying on whatever suggestion came from my friend and of course the pro, I think that's another great tip ladies because you might end up surprised just as I was. Here's the good stuff, I went there stuck on an Allure Bridal's 9415 and I tell you that went out the door quicker than SH*T when I tried on now what I refer to as my dream dress. I'm going to upload images of both, but what I really liked about the individual helping me with my gowns is the fact that she actually did her job without even acknowledging price tags and had me try dresses she felt I would like, she brought gowns that she liked, it really was a great, informative, honest "I want you to find and love your dress" experience with zero thought of being pushed into an insanely expensive gown just because of what my dumb a*s said in the beginning. My advice to you now about being honest if you're a broke bride like I am because this is pretty painful. I was given a dress by a designer I knew nothing about, I only heard of frickin Vera Wang and a couple others as far as wedding dress designers go. Why would I be familiar with them, it's not like I wear their designs regularly or anything. I tell you though I'm in love.... with one of these people's work and I don't believe I'm going to have the pleasure of feeling amazing come April because the cheapest gown I found from all the digging is $1500 and not including alterations. It's not from this lovely store though I do thank you for introducing me to him. Kenneth Winston, a lot of you readers might already know as well as be acquainted with the gowns he designs. I wasn't until early January 2019. I put on his #1690, and these words can never do me justice, but like you would expect in the movies I felt like I was straight up royalty and needed red carpet to walk on and subjects bowing to me. I kid you not I never expected that, it's in my opinion the most amazing gown and I believe Mr Winston is my favorite designer in wedding gowns. I applaud you sir, absolutely beautifully brilliant skills you have and bless you for sharing them with the world. I hope you all enjoyed my novel and review of this boutique. WOW! WOW! WOW! So this is the experience every bride should have when searching for their perfect wedding dress. As soon as you walk in you want to start going through all the beautiful dresses. It's a clean, cute shop that has a lot of options. We had Silvia helping us out and I could not have been more happy for my best friend that's getting married. She was so helpful and listened to what she was looking for. Basically, ask for Silvia. Anyways... Silvia was knowledgeable in all the dresses that the bride picked out. Venecia, the bride let us know that she made her feel comfortable in the dressing room and was ready to help her get in all the dresses. All dresses are maybe a size 10? I could be wrong but they clip them in the back to make them look more fitted when the bride tries them on. Ugh I just can't thank Silvia enough! Ladies it's such an important day and having someone like Silvia help Venecia out was awesome! She made it almost easy to pick which one...wait! She actually did pick which one she wants! Haha. She listened to us say that she didn't have any sleeves to try on and literally picked ONE out of all the dresses and Venecia fell in love!! Everyone was just LIKE YASSS!!! That is the one!! She was super warm and welcoming, helped me narrow down my options, and was transparent about pricing/timelines/alternations and made sure I didn't feel rushed or pressured. Making an appointment over the phone was easy; I was able to get an earlier appointment due to a cancellation which was awesome. They also fit me into their full schedule for a follow-up appointment. The store itself has lots of space to take the dresses for a spin (which, if you're like me, includes the "dance test"), with lots of natural light and mirrors galore. Once I decided on my dress, Stacey was super helpful with ideas for accessories, and even gave my mom suggestions on where to look for a mother of the bride dress. The women who work here are helpful and don't hover. They rolled out the rack of dresses we were wanting to see and we were able to check out and try on 12-15 dresses. It was hard to decide which dresses we liked best because we literally liked almost every one of them! The fitting room had ample room to try stuff on and the women working there were hands off - didn't pressure us at all until 5 min til closing. I had my eye on the time and made sure to be in the final dress by that time. The dresses were fine. The reason I'm giving a one-star review is because my stylist/consultant was pretty rude and aggressive during our session together. Here are some of the ways: - For each dress fitting, she would aggressively toss my hair into the front whenever it got in the way of her zipping up my dress. Other stylists in similar situations (BHLDN, A&Be, etc.) were very gentle and said things like, "Sorry, I'm going to have to move your hair out of the way," but not her. She just tossed the whole thing in front aggressively like she was displacing her anger onto me. - At the end, after she wrote down the two dresses I liked onto a card for reference, she flung the card at me over the counter she was sitting behind. She flung it so hard to the point where it flew past the counter and I had to bend down and catch it from the other side. Even her associate who was sitting next to her made the comment, "Geez, chuck it at her why don't you." Yeah, so I wasn't that happy with my experience here and would recommend checking out BHLDN or A & Be instead. read more

After talking to Geneva and giving her some of the details I had liked, she chose a few dresses while my group and I were browsing. The first dress I tried on--which had been one Geneva chose had me SERIOUSLY doubting how I felt about the dress at the other shop. Our appointment only ended up taking about 20-25 minutes of the 1.5 hour time slot. I did leave briefly to consider which dress I wanted, and I am happy to say I ended up walking back in about five minutes later and ordered the dress! If you want to keep customer and get yourself new ones, I would suggest you make these changes a long time ago. Again excuses do not amount to the price point people come in to pay you all for. I have worked Customer Service many year and I will tell you, I have never had an issue like this with any clients that I have seen. We had made a bunch of plans since we were going to be heading to the salon to get it. Only to find out the alterations lady Meryem has left my dress at her house. We had to rearrange our entire schedule for this, and Stacy the store manager apologized profusely about it. So we had to meet up Meryem at the salon on an off day. I had already had other scheduled things that day so I couldn't stay for the completion of the dress, and I wanted to take a pic of the dress with me out front of the salon (but guess that's ok too since this entire process was very mediocre). Meryem went above and beyond for us and we truly appreciate her for all her hard work. Only issue is after everything was said and done, we were expecting to pay the remainder balance off. Only to find $100 steam charge was added. So let me warn other brides, steaming and making your dress perfect before leaving this location, is an extra cost. So they will just send you out the door with a wrinkled up dress. I would have been happy to steam this dress on my own. As we were not thrilled to get an extra charge. However, what I find hilarious, is we had made plans to pick up this dress, they messed up, but still thought it was ok to charge us extra for that steam when NO ONE said a THING about it being extra. Again Stacy apologies profusely. This place is like a revolving door too, they have brides coming and going so they are making ends meet, why they need to charge more for a service that should be provided initially is beyond me. I wanted to let this company know and the masses, when I hear Bridal/wedding/marriage. I think of exceptional service. Especially when your dropping thousands of dollars. What we got was mediocre if that. Not impressed at all with the salon. Very happy with my dress and how I looked in it tho. I only gave an extra star for Meryem, as she worked so hard to make sure we had what we wanted. Stacy, after 16 years of doing this service I would expect all appointments to go and run , or maybe I just happen to be the ONLY fluke you've gotten, highly doubt it tho, and when you all made this error, you didn't think when we got upset about this extra charge no one told us about, not charging us would be the correct thing to do? Oh! And another thing, when my parents called to discuss this extra cost, they decided to put words into my mouth about how I knew about this charge. If I was told this, and my mom is upset over it and I'm standing there silent, wouldn't you have thought I would have said something at that time about someone mentioning this to me? I'm not happy about that AT ALL, but even more furious they lied blatantly to try and get themselves out of hot water by throwing me under the bus, when again NOT ONE SOUL mentioned this. I felt like I had a very similar experience as Kat O. The gal who was supposed to help seemed very unmotivated and uninterested to help. I came to my appointment about 15 minutes early and the sales associate was wrapping up with another customer. She seemed very energetic, happy, etc. until it came to my turn. I don't know if she just completed a really high valued sale and could just care less at that point when it came to me (I already stated through their questionnaire prior to the appt. that I wasn't trying to spend a TON of money). I tried to give her ideas of what I was looking for- what I liked, what I didn't like, but she didn't put much effort in actually trying to help me find a gown.She just watched me browse through the racks on my own. I did end up finding a gown that I liked, it was a little over how much I wanted to spend but I'd be willing to pay for it if I really liked it. As I stood in front of the mirror with the gown on (actually liking it), she just stood there staring blankly at me. I would have been sold on the dress had she made some effort to sell the dress, like add a veil to complete the look maybe? Because I wasn't quite "sold" by the dress at that moment, I requested the dress number for future reference in case I were to ever come back. She didn't even give the right dress number, so I went on Google and found the dress number myself (she flip flopped the numbers). I think I'm just going to take this dress # and find it at another store that also carries this designer. Wedding dress shopping should be a feel good moment, but that sales associate really bummed me out that I'm not inclined to go back. read more

I had Diana LeDee help me find my dream wedding dress. She was absolutely wonderful and very helpful. Before going to La Belle Elaine, I had already been to 4 different bridal boutiques, so I felt like giving up already. Unlike other bridal boutiques, I didn't feel pressured to buy my wedding dress then and now. The store is very clean and organized. The rest of the staff were also very professional. I would recommend other brides to make an appointment with this store to try out bridal gowns. They also have a seamstress, which is great! I only gave 4/5 stars, because I felt like the alteration estimates were expensive and I it was unclear of how they came to that estimate (they just said "that's the usual average of alterations"). I was told my dress would need a hem and maybe tuck in the torso of my dress, but they estimated it to be $450. Granted, that is the usual average of alterations, I think it would be nice to know the cost of separate alteration services. My dress hasn't come in yet either, so I'm sure they would be able to get a more accurate estimate once it comes in. During this time, I will get estimates from other alteration shops. read more

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at La Belle Elaine's! I had purchased a gown a year ago for my June wedding and decided this February that I no longer liked it-stressful discovery! Now I needed to find a clean looking modern gown in a rush situation. I went to almost every salon in the city without finding what I was looking for. La Belle Elaine's was the first salon I visited who had the clean satin look I was envisioning. The salon was really beautiful, well laid out and I felt comfortable there right away. It seemed like the sort of place you will find a beautiful dress! I was greeted by my consultant Stacey, she was warm, down to earth, friendly and very professional. She listened to what I was looking for and immediately went to two gowns that were right on target. Stacey also checked to be sure I could have both on time with the shipping requirements of the designer. I really appreciated this because the other salons I visited brought in endless dresses for me to see, none of which reflected what I was looking for or that would meet shipping requirements for my wedding date. Stacey took the time to show how the dress I favored would look with alterations and options for veils and train length. This whole time she was very supportive and honest. She also understood my hesitation to purchase right away due to my prior situation and encouraged me to take the time I needed to make the right decision. I never felt pressured. After taking the time I needed, I went back and purchased this gown. I am so thrilled to have found a dress that perfectly meets my vision that will arrive in time for the wedding. I had the best experience at La Belle Elaine's. I looked forward to finding my wedding dress since I was a little girl, and it did not disappoint. Clare was a wonderful consultant. She seems like she truly loves her job and I felt like she was excited for me as a bride. After I found my dream dress, she let me come back for an appointment with all my friends and family for the dress reveal. It was all my "Say Yes to the Dress" dreams come true! I wish I could give La Belle Elaine's 50 stars because this salon is just that incredible. I had two appointments this past weekend to try on dresses, with this salon being the first. First off, the salon itself is gorgeous - warm, airy, & bright - and is located in a nice, quiet pocket of Eastlake (check out the street behind them for free parking, though definitely build in some extra time to find a spot!). I was greeted enthusiastically and felt welcomed and cared for from the moment I walked in the door. There was a mix-up with my appointment time, but I didn't mind as they were very apologetic and it gave me some extra time to wander the store and check out the dresses, of which they have tons in all different styles. These gowns are gorgeous! Now, as to my attendant, Stacey (who I later found out is the manager) - I literally cannot say enough about how amazing, kind, thoughtful, helpful, organized, and excellent she is! I was so blown away by her. She helped me find dresses in the style I thought I wanted, but also pulled lots in different styles and fabrics as she knew it was my first time trying dresses on and wanted to make sure I gave everything a shot. And wouldn't you know, she ended up pulling one I wouldn't have on my own and it ended up being the dress I purchased! I also admired how she encouraged me to take some time and go to my next appointment. There was not a single moment that I felt pressured to buy or rushed in any way (plus, she only pulled gowns that she knew were in my price range or below). Even when I found a veil I loved but told her I was planning to have my mother in law make it she was totally encouraging me to do it that way! Stacey is beyond a gem and made this entire experience perfect and memorable. I'm so happy I ended up going here, because I found my dream dress AND had the most amazing time doing it! read more

I had a great shopping experience here. They pulled a few things for me to try and I pulled a few things. I ended up going with a dress I would not have thought would be "the one". I was the only one in the shop both times so never felt pressured about time or rushed to buy. I will update again once I receive my altered dress, but I expect all to go without a hitch. read more

First time trying on bridal gowns and can't say enough positive things about my experience! I loved the runway and how my family could sit beside as I walked in. The dressing rooms were a bit small, but the woman who helped me made it very comfortable. They even add a personal touch in the room by posting a vision board of themselves, so you feel connected to them. They take the time to listen, and help find gowns that you may love. They didn't rush me or pressure me to buy. So very accomplishing and helpful, which is exactly what you want on a special day like this. Thank you! read more
