I had an amazing experience here. I had already been dress shopping at quite a few other places and had a good idea of what I wanted. The selection of the dresses is huge and you can view their catalogue online, which was really nice to do in advance. The staff was very friendly. The balance between being able to look and pull dresses on your own, but also receiving help from the stylist pulling their suggestions for you was great. I prefer having the freedom to browse on my own, but the assistance and suggestions were also helpful! She really took the time to listen to my likes and dislikes. Initially, I was SURE I knew what I wanted, after multiple failures and not really liking the way things looked on me, the stylist convinced me to try on basically the opposite of what I *thought* I wanted.... it looked incredible. It was easily the perfect dress- MY dress. Without her, I do not think I would've found it. She was very friendly, fun and knowledgeable. My daughter tried on a few dresses and then Teresa was able to hear what my daughter liked on the ones she tried on and then find her the dress that had the elements of all the highlights. All of the employees were very helpful- especially when it comes to carrying the surprisingly heavy dresses However, two appointments happen at the same time but there is no separation of the parties. We all sit at the same runway/mirror area. It is awkward watching another group pick dresses and vice versa (plus not very Covid conscious). I found what I thought was "the dress" and knew it would need to be altered. HOWEVER, what they didn't tell me is that the rule of thumb is no more than two inches and certainly not more than two dress sizes (I bought this off the rack) because it starts to compromise the structure of the dress when you need to alter too much. I didn't see how much needed to be altered because it was all behind me clipped up by the gal helping me. I took my dress to two different people to alter it both who said 'they shouldn't have sold you this dress. It's way too big for you. ... and repeated again, this bridal boutique should know better - they shouldn't have sold this to you." Could they have altered it to fit, yes, of course but it was going to take A LOT of time and restructuring and that means A LOT of money. Nearly as much as the dress. Just be aware of this when you go there because apparently they are not educated about the rules of alterations and if they are, they aren't forthcoming about it. SUPER disappointed to have not been told about this. And now I need to find a new dress because it's will be cheaper than the alterations. :-( read more

I'm sad and frustrated that I brought my dress here for alterations. The biggest issue was them not doing what they said they would do regarding a stain. They said they would attempt to remove a stain , and instead they waited a week before telling me they would do nothing and would do no additional work on my dress. This makes it more likely that the stain on the front of the dress is set and unable to be removed. The stain happened while in their shop. I do not know how the stain got there and they do not either. It could have been makeup on the floor or on the person pinning the dress or even from me. I tried on the dress 2 times that day. The first time she marked alterations on the front of the dress and we put the dress in the bag. Then I decided to add heming. When I opened the bag I saw the stain and showed it to her. We both agreed that there was no stain the first time I tried it on, but there was a stain the 2nd time I tried it on. I wanted to immediately address the stain and once out of the dress and paid for the additional alterations, I went to my car and got a tide stain stick, knowing that the longer staining agents sit on a fabric the more likely that it will become impossible to remove. They encouraged me to not use the stain stick until after they had tried removing it with water and a microfibre cloth. I wanted to wait until they tried that but they said no they would get to it later that day so I left the dress and the stain stick so they could try it later that day. I trusted that they were the bridal gown experts and knew more about the fabric and getting makeup stains out than I did. I assumed they would try to remove the stain as soon as possible and before making additional alterations to the dress and would notify me ASAP if they were unable to get the stain out. One week later when I arrived to pickup the dress expecting it to be done, they told me they completed the alterations we had pinned but had not tried to remove the stain. The dress needed additional alterations and they refused and they also refused any help in removing the stain or any help in paying to have the stain removed. They were nice and professional initially and it was easy to make an appointment. For simple alterations to side seams and front seams and hem they did good work coming in over $900. However, they lied to me, and did not immediately notify me when they decided they would not keep their word to me and offered nothing to make it right. In addition they did not complete the fitting process. I am very disappointed and do not want anyone to have a similar experience. read more

I learned about Romashka via word of mouth from friends who purchased their bridal gowns here. I had two bridal sessions here. The first was on a weekday in September by myself and second was on a weekend in December with some bridesmaids & my mom. My first experience was average - the stylist was nice, but I had trouble deciding what direction to go and she seemed aloof. I figured it was a weekday and tried again for a second appointment on a weekend. My second appointment was also average, much to my disappointment (especially given the raving reviews from my friends.) The stylist was very nice, helped pull items off the rack, but in terms of the interaction, it felt like a one way street where I was providing thoughts/questions. I must have been spoiled with other experiences in which the stylist knew how to guide me through the process. That said, it could just be the style of dresses here didn't match my style? I really hope it was just me and that others have had much better experiences. If you feel very lost, uncertain and overwhelmed, I wouldn't recommend this place (at least with the stylists I had), but if like the dress styles this place carries, I imagine it'd be a good one. So just do some quick perusing on their site before you go. read more

First off, I just want to note how great my experience was at Romashka bridal. I was in an emergency situation where I needed to get fitted for a tux within the next 2 days, and when I called, they made sure that I was able to snag an appointment the next day, at the time that worked best for me. The fitment of the tux was quick, accurate, and easy going. The gentleman who helped me out was named Yuri, sorry for the misspelled name it's been a few weeks since I was in, and he was very amiable and charismatic. He was also able to answer any question I had, as it was my first time getting fitted, so I was able to learn a few important things as well. At the end, I was so happy with my experience, I offered Yuri $10 as a tip and he respectfully declined even though I insisted. I will be recommending this business to anyone and everyone who is looking for tailored suits and dresses or anything of the sort. I wish I could give them 20 stars. I can't say enough good things about my experience here. They did multiple generic alterations to my dress but also a few more major ones. In the stock photo, you can see there were pretty generous cut outs on the side. I wanted these filled in to the middle of my side to make it more modest. I went to many seamstresses, and all of their solutions were to slap a piece of fabric underneath the mesh and call it a day. I had pointed out that this would leave a very obvious transition point since the fabrics would not be even and I was told that it would be "too much work to sew it together." When I went to Romashka bridal, the very wonderful young seamstress (I cant remember her name!) immediately said that they would only do it the right way, without any prompting from me. She explained exactly how she would separate the mesh from the dress, sew the new fabric along the existing fabric line, and then replace the mesh. It looked amazing and was completed in just a few weeks for a reasonable price. Perhaps I have too high standards based on other experiences with other bridal shops in the Seattle area, but the minute I arrived for my appointment, I felt like the stylist could not be bothered. She instructed me too look through the racks on my own and told me to try on whatever I wanted. It felt like I was going through the overcrowded racks in some clearance section. The straps on some gowns were falling off the racks as I looked through them, some stained, others missing beading, ie. obviously not particularly well taken care of. I was stepping on trains trying to look through the high racks. Finally, when I picked a few, I had to haul them myself. Which I'm totally fine doing, but that meant that trains were dragging all over the floors and that these thousand dollar dresses were just being thrown around by regular people like me. I didn't find anything I liked, partially due to the fact, that I received no styling help. And even if I did, I don't think I would have purchased something from a place that didn't take care of their garments. read more

I drove almost an hour to the store and was so glad I did. We were greeted by Yuri first thing in the morning and then let loose to look on our own in the store initially. This low pressure environment allowed my Mom and I time to look and discuss our thoughts on various gowns. VERY nice and different than the approach at other stores. Then Desi diligently worked to retro fit each of the 8 gowns I tried on. I didn't think I would have an emotional reaction to "saying yes to my dress", but I did and Desi celebrated right along with me. My very favorite part about this shop is that it is family owned and ran. The warmth and happiness in the store is, in large part, from the wonderful family who helps make each bride feel special, unique and beautiful. I have been going to Romashka Bridal for bridesmaid alterations for years and finally it was my turn to be the bride. I made an appointment to try on gowns and went in knowing exactly what I wanted. I told them Victorian classic ball gown or A line no bling lots of lace. I picked out a few on my own and wasn't happy with the way it looked. My consultant then brought me a sheath with lots of bling and no lace and said just try it. That was the one. My mom cried, I cried and we said yes to the dress. I never would have picked it for myself but they knew their business. Next came alterations. Again I made an appointment and they got me in right on time. We added a corset and sleeves then at the last moment I decided I wanted more of a back. They must have magical elves working there because they got it done and it was gorgeous. See the pics. Thank God for this shop I bought my dress at a shop in Bellevue and I went to take it back there to have it altered only to find out that they were closed, so I took it to this place and they were able to alter my dress for me no problem. Everyone that works there was so accommodating, so nice and had great customer service. I even bought my Bridal jewelry there which ended up matching perfect to my dress. The lady was honest about what she could and could not do with my dress and I appreciate that. My only complaint was the day of my wedding I realize she did forget to put the loophole(whatever you call it) in the back to hold my dress, so my bridesmaids had to do it for me before I walk down the aisle, but that was so small it's not the end of the world. For my wedding last year, I came to Romashka Bridal for help with my alterations for my wedding dress and all 5 of my bridesmaid dresses (which i ordered online). My wedding dress was a size 11, I needed it to be a size 4! ... My dress had beading along the entire upper part of the gown, including some lighter beading along the skirt. There was also a problem with the length of the dress and the sleeves.... it was a hot mess. I almost regretted purchasing it, doubtful that any professional would actually be able to fix it to my standard. Not only did Romashka Bridal FIX my dress to perfection.. it took them only about a week in a half. (including the bridesmaid dresses) I had SO much work on that thing, they focused on the major parts of the dress during the 1st fitting and within a couple days I came back for minor touch ups... I was so impressed with their work. I've recommended this place to a couple of my family members since my experience and i HIGHLY recommend them to YOU! They know what they're doing. After the wedding, I'm really going to miss visiting this place. Mariya and Yuri are amazingly professional when it comes to measuring, taking phone calls, and making appointments. Mariya and Yuri really made me feel like family, and I loved visiting (read: attending appointments) here. Although I did not buy my dress here, Romashka bridal altered my dress, and I couldn't be happier. Originally, the dress I bought was a size 10...I needed it altered to a size 2. I stayed up late at night several days before the 1st alteration appointment because was so worried that this would be an impossible alteration, but Mariya assured me that it could be done. It took about 4-5 alterations (done in sections: 1st the top, then the train/bottom) before I finally got to take the dress home. I love my dress! To be honest, I don't even think you can tell it was altered. This is once again, one of the places that I love so much that I really just want to keep to myself. :) However, I'll stop being selfish and tell you that I highly recommend Romashka Bridal for your bridal alterations. Some things to note: -They DO let you take pictures of the dresses (I believe this is not allowed in most places) -I don't remember any appointment reminders, so please make sure you mark it in your calendar. I walked in one day thinking I had an appointment, then was told it was yesterday. Oops. :( -Will post pictures after the wedding day so that you can see the before and after of the dress. -When I was looking for dresses (~1-2 years ago), their dress selection didn't have as great of variety as other places. I don't even know where to start!!!! If you're getting married and looking to get a wedding dress, please come here. My only regret on my wedding day is not coming in sooner. This family is so amazing I have no words to explain the magic they worked for me. I got married this past April and it all turned perfectly thanks to the team at Romashka Bridal. Buying a wedding dress in itself is so emotionally tolling, especially when you're curvy and short. Trying to find the perfect dress is a challenge. I had originally purchased a dress from a large wedding dress department store (don't do it!!). I was rushed by that place to purchase the dress and was given my wedding dress a week before my wedding. I go and pick up my dress and the alterations are messed up!! I email, Facebook message and call Romashka to try to get my dress fixed since they are known to do quick alterations. They were very quick to respond and it was nice to know it was an actual person talking to you, rather than an automated system. Unfortunately and thankfully my previous dress wasn't worth salvaging, but I was able to get my dream dress at Romashka!! I love that Mariya was willing to help me fix my original dress and didn't pressure me to purchase a dress at her shop. I begged her to let me buy a dress from her sample collection. She takes such good care of her sample dresses that they look new. I had no hesitation buying off the rack. Due to my time constraint I kind of had to. (Please make an appointment ahead of time, don't be like me, I was very lucky, but don't rely on luck, the shop doesn't deserve that pressure or stress!) Mariya was able to find me the most beautiful dress and had it altered all in the same day for me the Tuesday before my wedding. All in one day!! I was gone on a business trip from Tuesday until Thursday morning , but had my fitting that Thursday afternoon, the Thursday before my wedding and it fit perfectly. Her attention to detail and accuracy was so amazing. After all my tears and heartbreak from other bridal shops errors, the family at Romashka Bridal restored my "wedding dress experience". On my wedding day and looking at the pictures, no one knew or would even know the drama that went into getting my wedding dress. I felt so beautiful and like a queen on my wedding day. Romashka had a lot of beautiful gowns in store and I received individual care from a bridal consultant who helped me look at gowns and pull more gowns for me to try on based off what I liked. They have a variety of prices. She did a great job pinning me into dresses so I actually knew what they would look like after alterations. I purchased my gown over the phone after taking the night to sleep on it, and received the gown shipped to my home promptly in an insured package. Romasha was an all around fantastic experience. I went to 6 bridal shops before this one so I think I know what I'm talking about when I say this one had great service haha :) not a super fancy setup like some boutiques but their prices are great and they are thorough when helping find and fit the perfect dress. I rarely have an experience so amazing or so terrible that I feel the need to leave a review, so know that I had a truly awful experience. I was excited to go here because of the great reviews. It was easy to book an appointment, and the sales staff were attentive. I bought my wedding dress from a shop in Tacoma, so I needed an alterations place closer to my home. The first round of alterations wasn't the worst, it was when I came back to try it on and see if any additional changes needed to be made. Instead of having me come back a third time, which I would have preferred, they rushed additional alterations so I could take it home that day. For example, when the cups did not fit properly, they had me take it off and went in the back to fix it, in roughly five minutes. Obviously not a good sign. I have attached pictures for reference, you can see how poorly they attached the cups, and the terrible sewing that led to dimpling on the front. The cups were so poorly sewn in that a thread already ripped. My alterations came to $938.40, but this did include a veil alteration and cleaning for $80. Before you ask if I brought up the poor fit at the final appointment, I did. Regarding the bust area, I was told that I need to use fashion tape to make the additional changes I want to have it fit how I want. I trusted this place, and because they are a well-rated business, I didn't expect this to happen. After trying it on a couple more times at home and hating the fit, I reached out to a different alterations business, knowing I couldn't trust this one any more. Lani's Tailor and Atelier in Redmond saved the day. Although, the damage was so bad that the cost to fix everything is $630, very close to what I paid for my original alterations. The seamstress helping me even said that Romashka did not even get my cup size right. Something I didn't notice, but will thankfully be fixed by the new seamstress is rippling where the dress was hemmed at the bottom, reflecting once again Romashka's incompetence. I will be reaching out to them once I have calmed down, and hope that they will make things right by reimbursing some of the money. I do not recommend this shop. read more

When I arrived for my initial dress fitting, I stood around waiting for someone to approach me. I ended up looking for the associate to assist me only to find them sitting on their phone. I think this was very unprofessional given the fact that I arrived on time. During the fitting there were two toddlers running around the store that appeared to be related to one of the workers. It didn't make my experience as a bride-to-be all that special. This shop is more concerned that you purchase a dress from them and could care less about educating you on their policies.
