I'd expect a soup base but this is more like a paste texture. The taste is simple, strong tomato aroma with simple seasoning. I'm thinking the bread is also mixed in the paste. Overall, it was an interesting soup experience. The fettuccine was top notch. Good pasta texture and we like it that it's not too salty. A good restaurant to visit if you are in the area.

The setting is calming and visually appealing. Perfect tables are offered both inside and out. I'm the early evening, opt for a cloth covered table on the beautiful lawn. The Tuscan hills, the farm and sunsets are awesome. The menu offers a variety. You might consider the Florentine T Bone. It's ample and flavorful. The service is a bit relaxed, so have another glass of wine and enjoy the atmosphere. If in the Siena vicinity, be sure to place Le Pietre Vie on the agenda. You won't regret it.

The fagotti itself was so flavorful and the sauce was sooo decadent, sweet, and creamy. We are still dreaming of this pasta. The Pici in Rivolta was pici spaghetti that came in a sauce with slow-cooked braised beef, mushroom, onion, and olive oil. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth and the sauce was so rich. Then we ordered the pork, but after we ordered it found out somebody had ordered the last one, so we ordered the chicken which was extremely dry, overcooked and left in the convection oven for far too long. We also got the peas and prosciutto as a side which was ok and gave us something with a bit of moisture for the overcooked dry chicken. I could see how this could be a charming place but it didn't charm us last night. We look for these small mom and pops, and unfortunately this was not a good meal.
