I'm back after 5 years and I don't understand how they don't have a 5 star rating It's simple good but perfectly home made al dente pasta can't be beat. Service was great and the chef quite funny. I was sitting next to the window watching them cook. Trust me, eat here

Pre theatre night dinner. Service was on point. Christo was a first class waiter. Got everything perfect. Food was excellent. Great wine options. Pasta special was excellent a duck ragu in a house pasta. Peach panzanella was beautiful. Desserts were so yum. Skip the pizza here. Only items that didnt wow me. Will be back. @foodreviewca

Fresh pasta, but only decent. La Betolla Di Terroni is part of the Terroni group specializing in Italian cuisine throughout Toronto. I've generally had good dining experiences at their restaurants, however this time wasn't special. We were able to make reservations online beforehand, but realized the restaurant wasn't as packed as we were expecting for a Saturday evening. We ordered 1 appetizer, 1 pizza, and 2 pasta mains to share between the three of us, which we felt were sufficient to satisfy our hunger. The beef carpaccio was deliciously light and fragrant, since the lemon juice and greens brought much needed acidity and bitterness to the rich gorgonzola sauce. Some minor things to make the dish better would include a slightly thicker cut of the carpaccio, as well as smaller pieces of the pecan nuts for texture. For the pizza, we got the Caprese. Deliciously thin pie bursting with umami from the fresh tomatoes spread throughout. This was probably our most favourite dish of the night. On the pasta front, the Spaghetti alle vongole had a generous portion of fresh clams still in the shells. We did find the sauce a bit too salty for our liking, but aside from that, the dish had a perfect balance of garlic and chili. The spaghetti itself was cooked al dente as expected, so this was a close 2nd compared to the Caprese pizza. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the Ravioli di zucca, which we felt was undercooked. The pasta shell had a more-difficult-than-expected bite to it (especially near the corners), and the filling was very dry. Largely underwhelming, and we all agreed we've definitely had better elsewhere in Toronto. To wrap up the dinner, we ordered the gelato and tiramisu. You get to pick 2 flavours (crema/nocciola/cioccolato/limone)! The Nocciola tasted very hazelnutty, so if you're a Nutella/Ferroro Rocher fan, please try this. My girlfriend and I are lovers of anything citrusy, so the refreshing limone was an obvious choice. The Tiramisu was perfect - rich, but not overwhelmingly so as to not ruin the night. Service was great, but I wouldn't deliberately drive to downtown Toronto again for La Betolla Di Terroni, nor would it be my absolute first choice for an Italian restaurant. Decent, I would say.

They bake their own bread and take pride in their food and presentation. I was stopping there before my dinner plans so just had a salad and a few beverages. Overall I liked it. Some may say it's a little pricey but pretty standard these days. Service was fast and attentive. They have good advice. My still water was always filled up. Nice clean restaurant. Not necessarily roomy for tall people, my knees were in the wood of the bar and seats were close. I'd go again!

Had a great meal here on NYE. Located just east of Yonge at the corner of Richmond and Victoria is very accessible by TTC but there is also a Green P lot just a little further down Richmond. The food was great. The server was ok but you could tell they were trying to keep things moving (there was a 1-1/2 hour limit on the table) since they were so busy. They have a great menu which they supplement with daily specials. We had the Polpo (octopus) special appetizer. Lentil and Mushroom soup (Soup of the day) plus Seafood Spaghetti and Tonnarelli Cacio et Pepe. The food was excellent. We finished with their cannoli and chocolate mousse. Both excellent as well. Vibe was lively with retro 80's/90's music. You could still talk over it though. This restaurant is part of the Terroni Group. You can't go wrong with these folks. They know what they are doing with Italian food.

It would require more visits to review this restaurant well. I enjoyed a Burrata e Capocollo Pizza + Beans + a Cappuccino. I would come back to his something similar again. The service was prompt, attentive and friendly.

We came here for a bachelorette party and they were super accommodating for a party of eight and making reservations was a breeze. Right when we got in we were seated and we were given fresh crusty bread. I was starving and so I took a piece but I should have waited until the olive oil and the hot Bomba peppers were brought to the table. The peppers that they bring are 100% spicy hot, like fire. I've tasted these peppers before since my family comes from southern Italy and I knew as soon as I smelled them what they were. The the night progressed beautifully with lovely appetizers. We got the meat stuffed olives, the salad with the croutons, tomatoes, and onions, and the meat tray. All were amazing. I could have eaten more of those sun-dried tomatoes from the meat tray but I had to share. Then came the main dish where I went plain but simple. Just plain spaghetti with a lovely red sauce. Those noodles were delicious and al dente. Yum. Our waitress even was able to be sweet enough to take a picture of all of us at the end of the meal it was great. I look forward to coming here again for any big parties if I'm in the Toronto area.

Starter bread with a dollop of chili oil and some olive oil

Came here for a company team lunch, and thoroughly enjoyed it! We split some appetizers, then each got a main (and for some like myself, a dessert as well). Starter bread: This basket of bread had a combination of whole grain and white slices. It came with some olive oil and spicy pepper oil on the side. The olive oil was extremely fragrant, rich, and earthy. Be careful of the chili oil though! It packs quite a spicy punch. (My colleague spread it generously across her piece of bread and regretted it soon after!) Caprese: The tomatoes were so sweet and marinated perfectly with the olive oil and herb mixture. The mozzarella cheese was so fresh! Though the taste was mild and not very strong, it melted in my mouth and was so smooth and creamy. Tagliere: This came with an interesting soft cheese... which none of us really tried hahaha! I did enjoy the cured meats, which were nice and salty. The olives and sun-dried tomatoes were a pleasant touch too. Chitarra Norcina: The majority of us got this dish - it was just so hard to deny the lingering fragrance of truffles in the air! The spaghetti was fairly thick, but definitely done al dente. The thickness also matched the richness of the sauce and flavour! That said, the dish wasn't too heavy at all; the sausage worked really well with the truffle oil. Although the black shaved truffles didn't have much of a taste, they did elevate the appearance of the dish! I did find, however, that they weren't very consistent in plating the dishes. Mine came with more pasta and less toppings (in fact, it was plated quite poorly and not very aesthetically pleasing), while my colleague had hers loaded with toppings and everything was coiled perfectly. In the end, I couldn't finish all the pasta while she wasn't able to finish the sausages and truffles! Gelato: When we were there, the gelato flavours of the day were vanilla, chocolate, hazelnut, and a lemon sorbetto. As I was concerned that the dairy flavours would be too sweet, I opted for the lemon. It was nice and refreshing - extremely light! There was a tangy sweet flavour with a bitter undertone and aftertaste (likely from the rind). I also sampled a bit of a colleague's hazelnut gelato - and instantly regretted not ordering that flavour! It wasn't too sweet, and tasted like Ferrero Rocher distilled and condensed in gelato form. Mmmm, it was so authentic and genuine in flavour! A thoroughly enjoyable meal, and a great place for company dinners or dates! Do share plates though... You get more out of it!

Honestly did not LOVE this place but I thought the venue was very nice. It's supposed to give an authentic Italian experience which I liked. It was definitely different from other pizza places so it was a pleasant experience overall. The server was also extremely attentive. I came around 3pm so the lunch rush had just died down. I got a pizza (I forgot which one, I think it was pepperoni or salami). It did not taste like regular pepperoni that I'm used to and it was cut differently so I'm not entirely sure what it was as I didn't order. The pizza was the thinnest I've ever had. I usually prefer thin crust but this thin crust was hard to cut and I just didn't really like it... The cannolis were wonderful and I was OT expecting the fancy presentation. It was very crispy. The cream inside was delightful as well as the pistachios on the ends. Very pretty dessert. Best cannolis I've had but I've only had them from Costco so I don't have much to compare with :-)

When in Toronto we had a craving for pasta and decided to go to La Bettola di Terroni! Food: I can't remember the pasta dishes that we had got, but it was very delicious. My only wish would have been if the pasta was served warmer and the pasta was cooked a little more. The bread was tough so I wasn't a fan either and after reading other reviews we had only received oil unlike most who had also received chili! (Maybe you have to ask?) Service: Was decent, she didn't go out of her way and I felt uncomfortable asking her for pepper and salt. I did think it was rude however that she reached onto our table to take the pepper shaker back to give to the table next to us without even asking or informing us. Overall: I enjoyed La Bettola di Terroni, but I don't quite think I will be returning because it didn't leave a memorable experience. The seating was also a little bit too close to other tables for my liking, it felt like we were sitting on top of one another. .

There is an upstairs balcony seating but I've never sat there. During warm weather, there is plenty of roadside outdoor seating too. This is my fourth time here but I never wrote a review fir the restaurant before. We ordered the following: 1. Shrimp Perno (daily special $6/shrimp). Jumbo Shrimp sautéed in garlic, white wine, tomatoes, scallions, and finished off with a shot of perno liquor. 2. Rack of Lamb (daily special $59.95). Four pieces of lamb in a rack, with a rich portion wine reduced sauce, that has a touch of mint to it, and Penne Pasta in a tomato rose sauce. The table bread was really good. The crust was crispy but the inside was fluffy. The soft butter that came it was so tasty. The bread was perfect for dipping in the sauce that came with the shrimp. We asked for a second basket of bread and they put two loafs in the second basket. It was too much so they were willing to let us take it home. The shrimps were definitely jumbo. It was so filling. Two pieces (per person) were good enough as an appetizer. The shrimps were perfectly cooked. We requested the lamb be cooked medium rare. It was definitely medium rare. It was juicy and did not have a gamey taste. It tastes great. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The tomato rose sauce was really good. They offered to grind parmesan cheese and pepper so we got both. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and paid parking lots. Review 2025-187

The depth of the flavors was impressive, everything was seasoned well. I went with the gnocchi for my main and it was fantastic. There was another two flights of stairs to get to the upper bar (which I was too tired to walk up to). The drinks at the bar were good and the staff were all great. We started with passed apps. Some of the flavour combinations were just off (the skewer with fruit, cheese and something else) - like they paired the wrong cheese with the fruit. The meal itself was a seat down meal (family style) which did take over two hours to complete for the amount of guests that were present (over 200 ppl). My favorite dish was the tomato and mozza salad. My most disappointed dish was the ragu pasta. Though containing a good amount of meat it was not saucy at all. The pizza was the brocolini was good as well. The reason I gave this restaurant three stars is strictly for the lack of elevator and the food quality vs the price. For what you are paying, there is so much higher quality food in the city and I honestly think you can get better bang for buck elsewhere.

The artichokes were mediocre (loved the sauce they came with). Worst of all was the "Ontario peaches" with the burrata were totally canned peaches - could've even been dole brand! The combination of the peach and mint went really well with the burrata. Light and easy to eat. The patio at night is one of the highlights. I didn't enjoy it at all. I hadn't been here in years but I see their food quality hasn't gotten any better. I was starving by the time the main dish came out so I ate about a quarter of the dish. Then I took the rest of the gnocchi home. Service: The waitstaff were really nice but the service was not very organized. There was a lot of appetizers but I couldn't eat most of it. Which is strange because I gave my food allergies several days in advance of the meal. It took some time to get the main dish as well so the pacing didn't seem great. I looked around at the other tables & we got our main dishes last. I'm not sure if the kitchen was at fault or what. Ambiance: It's quite dark here even on the lunch hour. The decor is dark wood tones, red upholstered banquette seating & wooden tables & chairs. It's not a fancy place. I would not choose to eat here again. Last time I went was several years ago.
