Juan Carlos is a legend. He looks like a murderer in a movie. A man who gives no excuses or details. But he gets behind that mic and he cracks jokes and tells stories. He strums the heck out of his guitar and is flanked by his dancing ladies! You get em Juan! I had the steak risotto. Needed a little extra flavoring. But a huge portion! We had these mozzarella stick.like app (sorry-cant remember the name) and I really liked them! The show is quick and enjoyable. I would suggest a nice evening at Triana. Nice staff, good food and great dancing!

Visited this location for dinner with a large party and no reservation. The staff promptly seated us and provided a fan near our table. While there was no entertainment, they played music. The food was excellent with large portions. The bathrooms were clean but a bit warm. I highly recommend trying their steak risotto.

Amazing ambience and live flamenco while eating!! Fue muy tradicional como España. Me gusta mucha y volveré.

We wandered in after the restaurant we intended to go to was closed while in the cruise port. Boy am I glad we did! Holy, FLAVOR! My tastebuds are trying to convince me I need to take the next flight back just so I could go there again. No lie. I ordered alcapurrias, bacalaitos, sweet plantains and a coconut margarita. Followed by a piña colada. I was actually surprised both of the fried starters were so mini! I was expecting one large, single appetizer like I find stateside. I was a bit confused and wondered HOW they packed so much flavor into such a tiny, delicious morsel. Ohhhh, and the tangy guava sauce that accompanied the alcapurrias was literally stuff dreams are made of. I've never tasted anything like that before but I want the recipe! My fiancé ordered the carne asada. Again. Blown away. And he is a hardcore steak lover. He eats Delmonico steaks and ribeyes at least twice a week. So the fact that he was in love with a skirt cut was pretty impressive. He said it was beyond tender and seasoned to perfection. I have to agree! I'll definitely be getting that next time I visit Puerto Rico! Already planning our next vacation there.

The food did not miss. Sweet and savory. Truly enjoyed this meal and the plantains were delicious. Highly recommend this place. My friend and I ate well and had great service.

This was the second stop on my self-guided food tour. I ordered the codfish fritters & alcapurrias. The fritters were tasty and even better with the white sauce. They were crispy & well seasoned. It was the perfect snack. I wasn't crazy about the alcapurrias or the dipping sauce.

We came here for the show and had a great time. Though the majority of the show was the guitarist, and not much flamenco dancing, it was still very entertaining and great to watch. Service was great too. We had some sangria (come early for happy hour specials!) and red wine. We also ordered the lamb chops, shrimp ceviche, and Triana paella. All were so delicious! The shrimp ceviche wasn't my favorite but still very tasty. Definitely recommend this for a unique dinner experience in old San Juan!

A little disappointment on the restaurant. Paella is a little too expensive. Shrimp ceviche is too sour and salty. Our waiter, also a bartender, was less attentive since he took care of the bar as well. Cheese cake was mistakenly served as cheese flan. On the bright side, eggplant with manchego is great, while beef tripe stew is not too bad. Flamenco performance was great if you're into the music dance and exotic atmosphere. Here are some pictures of the menu.

The whole family (16) decided to go to Old SJ late at night on Christmas date. San Juan was packed with people every body hanging out and having a good time. All food places were either closed or had a long waiting list. This place had a big lobby at the entrance where we could wait patiently. It wasn't long and a large table was ready for us. Appetizers were very good (battered fish and croquettes). We all had the meat paella which is made upon ordering. Portions are generous. We were all pleased with the food and the service. In top they had live Flamenco music and dancers. The old guy playing the guitar was talented with decades of experience and good sense of humor.

One of the hostesses was noticeably rude at the start, which set an uncomfortable tone. After being seated, our waiter hasn't been outright unkind, but there's a clear difference in how we're being treated compared to other guests. As a same-sex couple, it feels like we're not being received as warmly, even though he seems to be making an effort to remain professional. As a Puerto Rican, that's honestly a bit disappointing and feels out of place. That said, the food itself has been very good.

El Conflicto was perfect, all the flavor of a pina colada but without the heaviness of syrups & sugar. The Pollo Borracho was super flavorful & filling, chicken cooked to perfection falling off the bone. My fiancé had the Carne Frita, it was super tender & a well balanced dish. Service was friendly & attentive. My only complaint- we were so full we couldn't even look at the dessert menu! Guess we will just have to go back.

Fish tacos were really good, the best we had in the old San Juan area. we were there for 50 odd minutes and went to another bar. the ambiance was good but can't say the same about service but as I said above- this is the scene in every other bar in that street. so this is normal there. also, happy hour is from 3 to 8 (like other bars) one thing to keep in mind- whatever the restaurant/bar/pub you visit in this area - your food order gonna take time, as these all are mostly there for drinks, of course, food items are there in the menu, but it's gonna more then usual time, so if you are hungry, try other restaurants. If you've had Paella in Spain, these Paellitas are the mini-version-don't-wanna-share as they are smaller in portion. However, it was well seasoned and the 3 pieces of shrimp on top were fat and plump (just how I like my shrimp!). Sit by the front and you can also people watch to your heart's content.
