This offers a variety of Asian food stalls - from sushi to Korean fried chicken, they have a spot for everyone. Our favorite spot is Tous Le Jours bakery. Their cloud cakes are phenomenal and melt in your mouth good! In addition to the groceries and food court, they even have a small arcade and play area for the little ones, shops offering skincare products, and a hair salon. But does it have the best selection of Asian specialty ingredients? Also no. Hana World Market is a gift to the neighborhood, despite all that. It's a convenient place to find affordable Korean, Chinese, and some Japanese goods without spending a whole day of it. They have a fabulous selection of kimchi, miso paste, tofu, noodles, tea, hot sauce, and more. I find find vegetables that few other places carry, like celtuce, pea leaves, and kabocha. Anytime I'm craving kimbop, I know I can hit up the freezer aisle and find tons of vegan options, way better than Trader Joe's. They have the edge over H-Mart and 99 Ranch for the exact reason that they're not as big. Even on a Saturday afternoon, the vibe is chill. There's space to navigate with a full cart. There's room in the parking lot. I can get what I need and not stress over crowds. Of course, there's the food court and coffee stand, which are attractions in and of themselves. The guy with the awesome silver hair mentioned he was also from Houston, and we somehow ended up talking about how Austin's Asian scene just can't compare to how insanely diverse Houston's is. I genuinely wasn't sure what areas were designated for customers and what areas were for employees...at one point wandering way into the back. My bad. They've got a solid selection of imported goods. The selection is incredible, and the prices are usually much better than what you'll find at big-box grocery stores. It offers a wide variety of fresh produce, live seafood, quality meats, frozen foods, snacks, and pantry staples from across Asia. One of my favorite parts of shopping at 99 Ranch is browsing the colorful packaging. Many of the products feature bold artwork, vibrant colors, and whimsical characters that make every aisle feel like a new adventure. Also, 99 Ranch also has a food court, bakery, and tea shop. Several staff members approached me asking me if I needed help. And yes...I left with my green tea.
