We were here at 7.25am and there are already a few people waiting for them to open their doors. From where I was standing, you can see them making their works of art in the bakery! It is frequented by locals as you see everyone greet each other warmly. Service is absolutely friendly. We sat at one of the tables and slowly through out that hour we were there, the pastries pop up! Wooooo! Just for the two of us... We ordered cafe creme x 3 (wifey had another cup) Croissant x 4 (don't judge meeee) Petite Milk buns x 2 Then to take back to our hotel... 1 apple pastry, 1 lemon, 1 raspberry. €24.xx We are coming back here everyday for the rest of our paris vacation.. and our return to paris for the oncoming years.

The interior is bright pink, accented by delicious looking pastries and a kitchy red rooster. Absolutely adorable. And delicious. There is plenty of seating outside if you aren't able to acquire a table within.

Awesome boulangerie! We ended up here for a late breakfast on our first morning in Paris. Ordered coffee along with quiche, croissant and tart. Everything was delicious and it was nice that we got to seat outside.

So, look at this. My god, the French do bakeries well. I thought the croissant was fine, but not special.

My god, the French do bakeries well. Who cares what it tastes like. You could just enjoy the beauty of this bounteous display at Le Boulanger des Invalides in the 7th. I thought the croissant was fine, there was a thin sharp crispness, and it was slightly chewy and moist. Felt kind of delicate, but didn't have that addictive quality that I suspect is a certain ratio of butter that hits my hippocampus. Anyways. Fine. I should have tried more of the pastries!

What a wonderful place for a cup of coffee and some master bakery.

I'll come back when I am in Paris again. This is not in a super touristy area and the baked goods are outstanding :)

Incredible quaint find! We grabbed our breakfast sipped our cappuccino and Americano and sat outside watching the world go by. Excellent pastries and breads. Truly not a place to miss while in the area. The staff were friendly, patient, and very helpful with pronunciation of each item we ordered. We ordered a praline brioche, bichon framboise, and took a baguette to go.

There was a line at the door, but it moved fairly quickly. Once inside, you're in a beautiful Beaux-Arts salon. Service generally is very good. The Chocolat Chaud is superb. There are other savories and sweets on the menu here. This time we tried a Mont-Blanc (3/5). I know this is Angelina's signature pastry, but to me it couldn't compete with the Chocolat Chaud.

Angelina, Paris, France -- April 12…read more Our family of four with kids ages 9 and 10 stopped here for lunch after visiting the Louvre, drawn in by its reputation for having the best hot chocolate in the world. We were looking for a place to relax and refuel, and the experience felt a bit mixed overall. Arrival and First Impressions The space is elegant with classic Parisian charm. The line moved quickly, and we were seated with a great view of the dining room. It felt refined but still comfortable. The Highlights The famous hot chocolate lived up to expectations, thick, rich, and almost more like a dessert than a drink. We also had French onion soup and an éclair, both of which were very good. The pastries were clearly well made and thoughtfully prepared. The kids had chicken tenders, which they enjoyed, even though the tomato sauce was a bit different from what they expected. The Challenges The biggest drawback was the price. The meal felt expensive for what we ordered, coming in at €154 for a fairly simple lunch. Service felt slightly rushed as they moved tables along quickly. Final Thoughts We would likely return if we were nearby and specifically craving the hot chocolate again. It is a classic Paris stop and worth trying once, but the value may not justify going out of your way unless that signature experience is high on your list.

They are constantly pulling small parties (1-4) out of line to seat them quicker depending on the space available. We were lucky to get the sweetest waiter he was the kindest one we've had in the city during our entire trip! Unfortunately I did not get his name. Although while washing my hands inside one of the waitresses did come beside me and basically shoved me out of my way to place a serving tray on the sink in front of me??? Food is nothing to write home about but just aesthetically pleasing. I traveled with my 3 nieces who said the hot chocolate was too sweet and they're kids! To each their own, I still think everyone should give it a shot:) Beware if bees are one of your fears or if you're allergic and you sit outside they will be swarming all of the sweet food on the table, but don't be so afraid because they do not sting they only want your food.

The granola bowl has incredible flavors. The granola is soft so won't hurt your teeth, fromage blanc is lightly sweetened and very light, fruit is fresh, lime zest adds a great touch of freshness. Fruit included raspberries, strawberries, peaches and apple. The perfect summer combo. Will also be getting pâtisseries to go. Staff is friendly and helpful. You can sit outside, quiet in the morning and perfect place to work. I also got 2 pâtisseries to go: the fraisier and the signature flan. Definitely recommend the flan, the outside dough is soft (non-traditional for a flan). Was a bit disappointed by the fraisier, as I expected the lemon-thym cream to be more fruity. It was exceptionally done on a sablé the day I went, so the base cookie part was but/seed/butter based. Good but a bit too sweet overall for my taste. Overall a bit pricy as well. Will return for brunch/breakfast and to try other pastries!
