This place is a hidden gem! I love the staff here. Service is hospitable and quick. The servers seem happy to be there, and treat you as a friend. The portions are huge. The food is full of flavor. This was my second time here and this time it was a Friday, so I ordered a margarita. Oh. My. God. They're huge. Not to mention, they're made fresh! I hate getting a margarita that tastes like the margarita mix it was made with. This margarita was full of fresh lime and orange juice. I loved it. I ended up sharing it with my boyfriend and we both felt prettttty good :) Highly recommend this place! It is nice to see a different menu than what is offered at most Mexican restaurants in town that are all owned by the same family. This menu is full of variety and flavor. Their happy hour is great and I hope to enjoy it soon.

We are at La Cabaña for lunch. Not crowded so we are receiving very personalized attention from Manny. He recommended the Molcajete De Mariscos. Packed with flavor, the shrimp are huge, the octopus is cooked just right, and it arrives in a rustic bowl still sizzling. Our other entre is a Chile Relleno Burrito. Breaded Chile pepper, not spicy, with plenty of cheese, refried beans, and rice all rolled inside. My only issue is the stem of the Chile pepper is left on, and this was not a good bite. Well worth the price. The ambiance is very casual. There is a bar with a large screen TV, and stage for entertainment. If you are looking for authentic hearty Mexican this is the place.

I've been a few times now and it only gets better. Great food, great service, and I am definitely a return customer. I tried the Michelada and it's aweaome.

What a waste. Worst I've ever had.

My goodness, this was just bad all the way around. 8:00 on a Thursday night and the place is empty. Freight not, I've got a plan. Straight to the bar for a drink or 2 and a to go order. I ordered a coronorita first. My go to mexican mixed drink. Easily the worst I've ever had. They use a pre mixed magarita in a pitcher that taste horrendoues! 3 sips is all I could manage. So I pushed it to the side and ordered a draft Estrella Jalisco. It was fine, but I wondered if I'd still have to pay for the wack Coronorita.......hell to the yes! After the beer I was done drinking here. I ordered fajitas to go. Simple enough right? I mean fajitas a pretty simple IMO. Wrong! Got back to my room and what do you know, flavorless, lame fajitas with a mix of chicken and beef that taste identical. I couldn't be more dissapointed in this place. Lastly, the guy who tok my order seemsed really uniterested in actually serving me. He was moving as if I was inconvinicing him in some way. It wasn't close to closing and he WAS NOT BUSY. I'll be back to Lincoln in a couple of weeks but I'll be sure to avoid this place like the plague!

The outside doesn't say much, and the interior looks more like a dance hall (with a bar and a stage) than a restaurant, but the food is delicious and cheap. The portions are huge. Service is great. Very friendly and they bring your food out quickly.

This is a $10 drink, trust me you won't need 2

Average. Liked the service. Prices fine. Portions normal. Good plain ol' Mexican food. Don't get the 5 star reviews though.

The…read morefood is absolutely fantastic and has the feel of coming straight out of a relative's kitchen in Louisiana. I've tried the majority of the dishes at this point and loved them all. There are a few things to note, though. This isn't health food, but it's not meant to be! It's comfort food. A number of dishes tend to be on the salty side (and there is some variation), but never too salty for me. For some that have lower salt diets, though, it may be a bit much. The portions are large, and when you factor in that many come with a side and cornbread, it usually means two meals from one order for me. This is a family run restaurant and the atmosphere reflects that - everyone is nice and familiar with each other. Depending on how many people are working and how busy it is, it may take a minute before your order gets taken. And it's not fast food, so plan to spend a little time waiting while your order is cooked. You can alleviate that somewhat by calling in an order or using their website. There's usually a special of the day that knocks a couple bucks off the price of that dish. Everything I've tried has been great and well-cooked. It doesn't seem possible to go wrong with anything on the menu. I will point out that, for me, these are currently the best wings in town (triple heat is my favorite, but they're all worth trying).

The food is OUTSTANDING and pretty much made to order. This means you should take your time while you're here. But the food is worth any wait! I ordered Cajun Alfredo with chicken. The owner came back and confirmed I get up to 2 meats so I added sausage as well. The flavor is perfect and not overly spicy. Not only did I get a large portion, but it also came with a side!! He recommended the greens and they did not disappoint. Do be cautious of you order greens though, I did pull out some bones from my portion, which only solidifies to me that they were done right. And the cornbread was also just as flavorful as the rest of the meal. When cornbread is done right, it could be a delicacy. Definitely plan to return and try other items on the menu any time I'm in town. If you like Creole and Cajun cuisine, this is an excellent spot.

They dont have all drinks on the menu and the menu is not updated. They did tell us what was not available but was a generic dont have these and just slid his fingers on the menu. I finally got an iced lemon tea. We initially ordered egg rolls and a hot pot. We ordered spicy soup together with bok choy fungus( wood ear mushrooms) Beef, spam, fishballs and jumbo shrimp and egg noodles with a side of white rice. The soup came with a burner and it wasnt powerful enough to boil the soup on the pot. The pot had no definite style to it. Tasted like soy bean soup with some sichuan peppers. Not excessively spicy and not very flavourful. Our ingredients took a long while to come out- and our egg rolls eventually never came. Practically all the ingredients were frozen with the exception of the fungi and the egg noodles. The sauce station looks thrown together with takeout containers and plenty of sauce. The bbq sauce had part of a spoon which was broken off in the sauce. The sauces are similar to haidilao type just not as fresh. But the chives looked a little greyish. Overall, service is not fantastic. We did remind them multiple times about the egg rolls, but it still didn't ever arrive. They at least took it off the bill. We forgot to check about the missing bakchoy. Not sure we will be back anytime soon. Hubby wasn't quite happy with our dinner last night.

We made a reservation for 5 PM when they opened on a Friday night. My first good impression of this restaurant was their well dressed and mannered staff. The hostesses and servers were ready for us! The coat rack up front is a nice touch too. We were seated next to the window with a beautiful snowy view of downtown Lincoln. Our server was so sweet and made sure we had a wonderful first dining experience. All of the food was fantastic. Our favorite dishes were the parsnip soup and blood orange toast. I think their menu changes monthly because it was printed. The drinks were okay. I got a non alcoholic cucumber "martini". My husband got a Moscow mule, but it was too tart for his taste. If we ordered drinks again in the future, we would try something else. Other than that, I highly recommend this spot! Thank you chefs for the amazing food and staff for a memorable dinner.

We made a reservation at 630 for 7 pm and we made it there in time We were seated promptly after glases were placed at the table we were to be seated at. Ambiance was upscale. Dimmed dining room- suitable for a romantic night. But we also noticed a lot of families as well. In the middle of the dining room I noticed a little tree-like ornament. It looked very pretty and added to the ambiance. Hubby ordered a beer whilst I ordered a rainbow sherbet margarita. Drinks came pretty quickly. My drink looked very pretty- Its more tart than expected and im ok with that. There was also a strong raspberry taste though no raspberries in sight. So if you're not comfortable with tart drinks please avoid this drink. I ordered duck on the specials menu that came with green beans and sweet potato mash and my hubby ordered steak with onion strings and mac and cheese. Food took some time to come. Presentation was beautiful for my duck. Flavour was good for the duck. But even the pictures I attached showed that one part of the duck was undercooked. The other side was a tad overcooked but edible. The undercooked part cannot be cut even with a steak knife. The beans and the sweet potato mash was cooked well. Otherwise. It was good. They took it off our overall bill though. That was really nice of them. We then ordered desserts. I got a berry tiramisu, and hubby got the chocolate cherry manhattan. My tiramisu was good. Could be a little less sweet- as mentioned earlier i like tart-ish stuff. But it was still light and fluffy. Hubby's chocolate cherry manhattan was a little strong. But could be improved with a better balanced taste profile. We had a wonderful experience despite the slightly undercooked duck. Appreciate our young server very much. She was an absolute delight. And apologies to her- we forgot her name. She made a potentially bad experience a good one. We will be back.
