I've been here countless times. The food is fantastic. The bruschetta is awesome. I always get the risotto special and I leave so happy. The portions are not big like most Italian places which is slightly disappointing because the food is so good. The gnocchi is handmade and melts in your mouth. The pizza is good as well. The prices are fair for the level of quality and freshness of the food. It is a family run place. It is not a huge place so if you don't have a reservation sometimes you wait. If you think Olive Garden is good then this isn't your place. This is authentic Italian. And their bread is way better, too. read more

We went here from almost the day they opened and had very good meals....until around two years ago, when they removed many of our favorite items on the menu. At the same time, the customer experience really took a dip. We had SERIOUS noise problems with large parties in their small dining room, the management were uncaring. From excellent cuisine, it seems to have downgraded to a lowest common denominator pizza and red sauce joint....a pity, as their chef started out as really talented. It's a pity. read more

My husband has been travelling to Italy quite often lately. He's been looking for a restaurant with the atmosphere, service, and food quality he has been experiencing without breaking the bank. He's found it. It's very small, intimate, and a BYOB. We started with Brushetta. It was delicious. Then we moved on to the Risotto. Creamy goodness with sundried tomatoes and mushrooms. For our entree we ordered beef medallions with crab. Once again, a homerun! Dessert was a tiramisu that was freshly made. Accompanied by a frothy cappacino. Fantastic family run restaurant. We can't wait to get back there. Next time we're going to bring the kids and try the pizza! read more

I have to comment on the review from JM and the response from "Anna C" I was part of the group in question-- and Anna has tried to twist things. Our group was comprised of managers (mid level to senior staff) that travel all over the USA for work and over HALF based locally. I am from Doylestown --where we have plenty of places to spend our money on dining out. Needless to say, I have no reason to come back here. We were a late seated party (almost 9 PM) & we ordered a number of appetizers to get us started. At that time a request for some bread... (yes all this is about $1 worth of bread) ... nothing was said about a "policy". After waiting... we asked the waitress again and the response was crazy... she ended up yelling about "How could you treat a human this way"... really? All we did was ask for some bread as it was late..... A late dinner after working all day. Next came the VERY sarcastic remarks from the "owner". She said in her comment "Up to this point, no staff member ever asked you to leave"...Sorry, you kept saying over And over, "if you don't like it leave"..... All over BREAD.... Really???? At the end, while we waited outside for some to use the restroom - yes when some did go back to use the restroom when it was free. A simple question of what is the logic was asked? We had ordered food, we had a big group...What is the logic of saying NO to bread.... Then a large guy came out to the parking lot dropping F-Bombs and threatening to Kick our A--. Anna's quote of "we did not want an escalation of the situation" Came from the "son" (as he said") coming after us... .NO ONE touched any waitress.. The quote from Anna of "On the contrary, a gentleman hovered over a young female wait staff's face and touched her" Is a out & out lie. ... I had my cell phone video going for proof as this was soooo crazy. The "owner" could have made this entire thing end after 10 seconds... seeing 7 busniess people, well dressed,,, With AMX card... make the customers happy... IT WAS JUST A LOAF OF BREAD. We made point NOT to eat it when it finally came. This has now become a joke for us- as we eat in places and email photos of the bread basket delivered to the table soon as the waiter comes up for the drink order. Last night even in a Cuban place in NJ. BTW- the food was good...not"phenomenal". Go to New York, New Jersey or even Doylestown...for better. AND they hit was with a 18% group tip, with no way to adjust.. read more

New to immediate area and wanted to try this place as a close-by place for Italian, nestled in the countryside near Nockamixon park and the campgrounds. Nicely, they took 2 of us without reservation on a Saturday night. Seems there were a lot of upper crust people there, NY professionals who hide in the woods of Bucks County on weekends. One can see tables ordering multiple courses like "family Italian dining" versus app and entree alone. The service was delightful, attentive, the ambiance relaxing -- however, I can't say the food was impressive. The Alfredo was so tasteless -- and I doubt it was homemade fettuccine -- , even with the extra sausage added or sprinkling of added cheese helped spark it. The ravioli was also nothing to cheer over. The Caesar salad was standard, boring. The mussels were OK, the bread and herbed oil was plentiful. No bar, we had water -- bill came to $90+ with tip. I went here with my parent, grandparents, aunt, and siblings (a total party of 8) intending to get the early bird special that is offered before 6 pm. Upon being seated we asked about this cheaper menu and were told that it was only available for parties of less than 8. This in itself was not a problem, however, the tone in which this information was conveyed in was incredibly rude and condescending, as if we stupid to assume that our party would be allowed to receive the early bird pricing. Additionally, we were prepared to split our part in half to receive the early bird pricing but were again rudely told that this was not allowed. Not wanting to make a big fuss about it we resigned ourselves to paying full prices for our meals. For dinner 5 members of my party ordered a small serving of pasta and one member ordered a large pasta. When the orders arrived we were pleasantly surprised to see how large the portions were, however, upon receiving our bill we saw that the 5 members of our party's dished that had been ordered as smalls were charged as larges, when we complained we were told that they had been given the large portions by mistake, but since they had eaten them they would be charged the price for the large, not the price for the small that they had ordered. Finally, one member of the party ordered a salad and specifically asked that it be brought out as a entree, while it was not brought out with the appetizers, it was still brought out 10 minutes before the rest of our parties dishes and since she was polite and waited for the rest of our party to receive their meals before begging to eat her salad was soggy by the time she ate it. Overall service was slow and the waitress did not listen to any of our ordering requests and was unapologetic for her mistakes which ended up making our meal cost double what we had thought it would cost when we placed our order. read more

Just ate dinner here the other night for the first time. Wow, what a nice surprise. First up was complimentary bruschetta. Very rustic and authentic. Appetizer was a small antipasti, nice portion of Italian meats, cheeses and roasted red peppers. Super fresh and delicious. My main was the salmon. This was hands down the best salmon I have ever eaten and I have been around the block a few times :) It was tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. Also with the salmon it was accompanied by beautifully prepared shrimp. It was served in a tomato seafood broth that was silky smooth and flavorful without overpowering the fish. Others in the party had the chicken saltimbocca as the entree and it as well was masterfully prepared with a rich sherry sage sauce. For desert we had the cappuccino creme brûlée ...to die for, and a bananna cheese cake that was light as a feather. The staff was so very hospitable and friendly. Even though it was our first time there we were treated like old friends. I can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu. Do yourself a favor and make this a destination when you are in the mood for a delicious authentic Italian meal. read more
