So I was told that this pizza place would knock your socks off. Me and my wife Got the stromboli which was pretty good but not life changing. Not the egg plant fries on the other hand were amazing. It was so good it didn't even taste like eggplant. The service was pretty decent but the food took forever . I love the look of the place but we only did take out. This place is awesome, the bruschetta pizza is one of the best things I have ever eaten. The old school decor adds to the experience and the service and server's are always awesome. The chicken sandwich is also huge and on a super fresh brioche bun. You can go wrong here but I would avails any non pasta dinners, including the chicken Parmesan. read more

We have eaten at another Giovanni's in Jamison and loved it, so we gave this one a try. Night and day as far as the service and food quality. This should just be a take out pizza place. We used to come here a lot and the service was always prompt and the food fast and tasty. Things are different. We came in at 6:20pm to a large sign that says "closed at 7:00pm tonight". "Seat yourself" and so the wait begins. "Oh you need menus". We ordered the Monday night manicotti special. We were told at 6:50 that there were a lot of take out orders. Clearly don't know how to serve both take out and in house. It's now 6:58 and guess what just showed up. You guessed it molten manicotti. read more

Diverse menu and thoughtful layout for social distancing. They offer curbside pickup, outdoor covered seating, indoor spaced out seating, and takeout. We opted for eat-in. Good prices and options in the kid's menu (we have two boys 7 and 5). The hoagies ( we got a turkey and cheese) comes with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions; everything else is extra. My entree, Spaghetti alle Vongole lacked much flavor and was a poor choice for $17. Slow service for a Monday night. The party that came in 2 minutes before us was almost finished their meal before we got ours. Apparently the Vongole was the reason, but at least bring out the food for the kids first. read more

Giovanni's is a Quakertown staple. My favorite is their classic Italian hoagie. I don't actively give 5-star reviews to places, but Giovanni's has the consistency that earns those stars. With fresh Italian rolls, crisp toppings, and great portion sizes, you simply can't go wrong eating here. Where they really seal the deal is the masterful ratio of bread to filling. A seemingly wonderful sandwich simply doesn't fulfill its potential if there's too much bread and too little meat or vice versa. Gio's gets this delicate balance correct every time. Their other sandwiches and pizza are quality Italian cuisine as well. If you want to get the best bang for your buck, go for one of their weekday specials. Happy eating! read more

Our favorite pizza in Quakertown. Only Sal's Pizza Randa is comparable. The staff is super friendly. A bit pricey, but who minds paying for great food and service? When you come to the counter for pick-up, they have a display with some pizza you can buy by the slice. Ever so tempting. They had a white pizza with spinach and feta cheese one time. I couldn't resist and was happy that I didn't. Garlic knots sitting there looked fabulous, had to try those. My girlfriend and her father have been coming here for years so I had to find out for myself what kept them coming back. Being a pizzeria it wasn't much of a dining experience, but I noticed management was very personable, especially to their returning patrons. I started with their Bruschetta Al Forno. Good, but not great. Even though the main ingredient in any bruschetta dish is tomatoes, they were just overwhelming. I felt like I was eating a plain tomato. For dinner I ordered Veal Parmesan with penne pasta. The entree was served with garlic knots (side) and Italian Wedding soup (soup or salad). Other than the veal being a little chewy, everything was pretty good. I wouldn't rush to come back here, especially because it's a decent drive from my house, but when I'm back in the Quakertown area, I wouldn't mind coming back. read more

Been going here for 15 yrs. But I am definitely noticing that quality of food is not what it has been . Got the kid's chicken fingers and Fries. And chicken parmigiana dinner. Take out ... The good- salad was fresh and garlic knots were good. The bad- and I'm sorry when I say this but whatever breading is on the kids chicken fingers is bland. No flavor. My kid said it tasted like over greasy blandness. I tried a piece and while the chicken tasted the good the breading was awful. Also the breading burns too easily in the fryer cuz the outer edges were burnt and crispy. And the fries I could tell were frozen cuz they were so hard we couldn't eat them. And when you broke one apart the texture was of frozen French fries if you know what I mean. The chicken parmigiana- the chicken itself was soft but the pasta was not cooked enough. Some were still hard like not even Al dente. Ziti noodles need to be softer . The sauce has been driving me crazy. It is too pasty. This is fine for pizzas but not for pasta. It was clumping up and I felt like I was eating tomato paste. This is not what " Sunday gravy" should be like. I guess we will Only get pizzas from them. Because they are usually ok. read more

WOW!!!! Incredibly disappointed. My first time there. I ordered an Italian hoagie. When I opened the sandwich I was like "Where is the meat and cheese?" There was a one piece layer of ham, one piece layer of provolone and one piece layer of salami. I've never seen a hoagie so skimpy on the meat. It was mostly lettuce tomato and onion with a meat, cheese garnish. Very shocking. I know times are tough right now but we're paying a premium for take out food and need to be compensated. They were busy, very busy on a Saturday night. the place was half filled with customers but people were coming in for take outs every other minute. I usually order their pasta entrees or hot hoagies (Buffalo chicken or cheesesteak) and they are full of flavor. The entrees come with a choice of soup or salad... but get the soup...seriously (especially tomato bisque or Italian wedding-YUM!) The atmosphere is welcoming and family friendly for any occasion. My husband and I just moved to the area and upon driving passed and both said "that's going to be our new pizza place!" Following that up with all our family in the area telling us it's the best pizza place,once we ordered one weekend for pick up we were not disappointed. We've been sharing our purchases for the last 30 years with the family owned pizzerias in Quakertown. This weekend we had family gathering. Our family decided to try some catering items, very easy to order with a great menu & a very helpful staff, for the first time. It was a huge hit! Meatballs and pasta,sauce, homemade Italian bread, grilled veggies& mini cannolis were a great addition to the spread. The convenience of having all the items to keep it hot was very helpful and reasonably priced. Family has already discussed what will be trying next. read more

My wife and I tried this place out over this past weekend for the first time. We got there on the early side, around 5:30...and I'm glad we did! The place gets packed quick and by 6:15 there is a line out the door. I don't remember our server's name, but she was an absolute sweetheart. We started with the Fried Calamari, big mistake. The crust/coating was way too thick, and overdone. The calamari had that tough, chewy feel...very disappointed. Next up was the cheese pie. The pizza dough they use is excellent, crisp and chewy. Their sauce is not overly seasoned, and in terms of balance leans toward the sweet side. fantastic mix of cheese, cooked to perfection. Great prices, BYO, we will be back. Saw a couple sandwiches and salads come out and they looked terrific. Not sure this is the BEST pizza in the area, but certainly in my top three! read more
