I legit have a problem. I can not even disclose how many times I've been to eat here since they opened- it's too embarrassing. The quality of the food, the meats, and cheeses are the best in town. Great lunch menu! The fried steak tacos were so delicious but only served at lunch; so, go when you can!

Food is incredible. Elevated Mexican with some unique dishes but the staples as well. Skinny Marg is delicious, makes me wonder just how skinny it really is. My bride, our son, and our 10 year old granddaughter at her on Saturday Aug 23, 2025. My bride ate lunch there about 3 weeks prior. Her lunch was well prepared, tasty, and certainly a good lunch regarding value. That is why she took the son and daughter to it Saturday evening. Bland food. Minimum temperature when served. Overall a very disappointing experience. Oh......just to mention we lived in Puerto Morelos MX for 5 years. We are from the San Joaquin Valley CA for years. IF DUMPSTER FIRE was called a restaurant! Mediocre food and poor management. Our waitress was the only thing positive about the restaurant. First we were seated in front of the very loud speaker where the musician played the same cord for over 10 minutes straight and I could barely hear my husband talking to me, who was sitting next to me. Excited to try the delicious looking menu, I ordered a Chicken soup appetizer which came out luke warm which is gross. In hopes that dinner would be better, I anticipated a decent meal. Boy was I wrong! I ordered the salmon thinking maybe they could get that right since with their very enticing menu made it appear that someone in the kitchen could cook. Well, round two and dumpster fire! I sent my food back immediately. The salmon was raw in the middle, veggies overcooked, brown and mushy, and the black beans were cold once again. Not to mention the plating was terrible. After talking with the waitress, she told us she had asked the managers three times to come visit our table but not one of them came to check on us. If I were you I'd find a different place to spend your money! You'll probably find a better meal in the garbage can outside. Disappointing to say the least! Complete garbage. read more

The service was terrific and the restaurant was beautiful! This was my first time coming to La Cantina on Main and I was very happy with my experience! The chips are unbelievably freshly made along with the salsa. We ordered the cheese dip, of course, and it was delicious. My friend and I split the Carne Asada Street tacos and we each had a bowl of tortilla soup. Both were delicious and filling. If you are in the area I'd recommend this restaurant! read more

We were finally able to try this place out and it did not disappoint! It is an "upscale" Mexican restaurant. I saw a previous review complaining of the prices. That is insane. For what you get- the prices were amazing. The atmosphere was great.. I can't wait to have an event there. I have already said I was my birthday celebration there. The live music was great. Singer songwriter style. If you are looking for traditional Mexican food (can meat style) this is not the place and not a comparison. The food was way way above that in quality. Went to La Cantina yesterday for some lunch and a glass of wine. Sat at the bar We we're handed a ratty paper two page menu, stained, and VERY limited selection. In bold font the menu said "soft opening menu". They been open for almost ONE MONTH! I asked the bartender why still a soft opening and she said the "Grand Opening" is next week. What???? She also said they're still working on the "fancy menu" Oh yea ordered a house Cab and house Sauvignon. The "house" white was FOURTEEN DOLLARS!! Chips way too thick for my taste. Love the food. Have been there at least 5 times. However; today I orders tacos from the lunch menu that dis NOT come with avocados. The dish was served by someone other than my server and he did not seem to speak English. The dish arrived with sliced avocados on top of each taco, and I am allergic to avocado. My server returned a few minutes later and I explained, and asked why it came with avocados when it was not listed on the menu. She agreed it was a mistake and would watch the kitchen staff to remake the order to ensure they did not just "remove the avocados from the top," (her words, not mine. She also indicated she was going to go speak to the owner. (I did not ask her to). I am 61, and have lived with food allergies, which have to be injected for an allergic reaction, and I carry an epipen. Here is what I do not like AT ALL. When the server returned she seemed to put the blame on me that I had not notified her of my allergy. Sure, I should always run thru the allergies, but they don't serve lobster, crab or bananas, and as long as I do not eat avocado, there is no problem. I was there at 3:00 in the afternoon. There were only 3 other tables of people in the entire restaurant. If the manager was there as the server indicated, then he or she should have come and spoken to me. The manager at many other restaurants come out to speak to each table even when every order is perfect. What happened today was just poor customer service. You have lost my business. read more

The club-style techno music felt completely out of place for a Mexican restaurant and really detracted from the overall atmosphere. We've been twice--once for dinner and more recently for brunch--and unfortunately, it missed the mark both times. During brunch, my wife ordered pancakes with fruit: $18 for paper-thin pancakes and a single slice of strawberry. Definitely not worth it. I'd suggest looking elsewhere for brunch.
