After a round of golf at Tierra Santa, what better to do than enjoy a nice beverage and some food?…read more Why... go to Tony's Bar and Grill! I chose to partake of a delicious Bloody Mary. Mmmm mmm mmmm, was it TASTY! Our server was very friendly and attentive without hovering, despite it not being too busy. We all ordered burgers which were MASSIVE (1/2 lb maybe?) and cooked over a char-broiler evidently, as they had that "flame broiled taste". I added cheese to mine while a fellow golfer added grilled onions to his. I believe they all came with lettuce, onion, tomato and dill pickle slices. Condiments were served on the side. The fries seemed to be made "in house" as they were not the typical frozen French fry but were tasty. I noted they also had a breakfast menu for those living nearby or starting their round earlier in the morning. I'd definitely stop in if we lived closer, but as it's a 25 mile trip... I'll settle for a meal after a round of golf.

I specifically ordered Tanqueray Gin and Tonics, and consistently they were made with a cheaper gin. My husband ordered one of my drinks at the bar and he watched the bartender pour the gin from a Tanqueray bottle. This only tells me that they are pouring a cheaper gin in the Tanqueray bottle! I guess I'll drink water with my meal from now on. That's just bad business. People can tell a difference!

We went for lunch. The restaurant was large, clean, and the server was polite. I ordered one if the specials listed on the board and menu, which included free iced tea. The enchiladas were okay. Both tacos were on soft flour tortillas. The beef fajitas in one were well cooked, but bland, nothing but small chunks of meat. The carne guisada in the second one was tender and flavorful, but too soggy to pick up in the taco. My husband ordered maricos soup, which was also bland, watery, and had only 3 small pieces of fish and a decent amount of shrimp. When I went to the counter to pay, I had to inform the cashier that my tea was supposed to be free. They also charge more for sweet tea than they do unsweet which was $3.54 in a regular sized glass, even though you can add all the sugar you want at the table. It was our first visit and will sadly be our last. There are too many really good Mexican restaurants around, so no need to go to a mediocre one again. Sorry...

My husband and I went for a late lunch at your establishment on August 4th. I was extremely excited…read moreto spend my afternoon in the presence of a great restaurant, I was thrilled to be here. We got sat down and ordered our drinks. I got a tea and the hubby ordered a beer. I was undecided at to what I wanted for my birthday lunch (I didn't tell the staff it was my birthday at any point during our visit and I wanted to keep it that way). The waitress came back a while later and we ordered our food. I was finished with my tea and the hubby with is beer. The waitress never appeared to asks us if we wanted refills. So our food came about 20-30 minuets later. At that point she asked if we wanted refills. We said yes, of course we do. I got the fajita plate, It was warm-cold at best. I was hoping it be pipping hot. It's fajitas so it was a BIG turn off BAD!!!!!!?I put my fajita plate to the side and it took a while for the waitress to come back, I wanted to order another plate. I got the Flounder that was stuffed with crab meat. I was excited by the sound of flounder (my favorite type of fish with crab meat) my mouth was watering! When the fish came out to the table and it had no flavor WHATSOEVER!!!!! I'm a seafood lover and I can tell you that it was a disappointment! I really was disappointed with the whole experience. Of all days, my birthday.........at your restaurant! It was also a disappointment that I only got 2 refills of iced tea. I have patronized your establishment so many time and never have I been disappointed as much as I was today, on my birthday! As my husband and I were Checking out at the front desk, cause the waitress never came over to give us are bill, I told the manger or whomever it was at the front desk how LACK LUSTER our experience was. Never out of the years we have eaten there, have we a bad experience like this. Anytime we do go, we always ask for Jorge, he is our go to waiter. He is a wonderful waiter very receptive and curious. We have had other waiter/waitresses and they are so good as well, never had a problem with anyone. I don't know if this waitress was new or in a bad frame of mind but we weren't happy at all, or at least I wasn't happy. I will continue to go to your establishment because it is good food and I like the environment, and one instance shouldn't determine the inadequacies. We enjoy the atmosphere and really love the food. We enjoy Jorge and everyone else that waits on us. We are generous with tips, just ask Jorge, he will tell you. BTW, we did pay for all our food even the two plates that weren't to my expectation. We do genuinely like eating here and will go back again in the future.

I requested beef fajitas, two cheddar cheese enchiladas, a crispy corn taco with ground beef filling. The plate included rice and beans, guacamole and a choice of tortillas. I asked for flour. When my plate arrived the food looked hot, tasty and freshly made. After giving everything on my plate a try, here is my subjective assessment of the meal. Again, this was my only visit so I didn't try anything else. Service: 5 out 5, servers were friendly, helpful and attentive. You can tell they take pride in their jobs. They all wore matching black T-shirts. They refilled my drink and stopped by to ask if I needed anything else. Atmosphere: 5 out 5, not fancy but who cares. It was clean, comfortable and inviting. It feels like it's been there since 1972. Food: 3 out 5, although the items on my plate looked fresh and tasty, I felt only two items really stood out. The crispy taco was the best item on my plate. It was crunchy and delicious. The flour tortillas were freshly made and delicious. However, the beef fajitas were bland and chewy. The cheese enchiladas seriously lacked flavor. The cheese filling and enchilada sauce could and should have been better. The rice and refied beans were flavorless. Overall, the flavors were muted and I would say needed more seasoning. I wanted to give it a higher rating. I may try going again in the future but I'll order something different. They serve breakfast too.
