La Casa Michoacana is my favorite local median cuisine! Each time we go there I am very happy with the service, along with quality of the food. The Carne Asada tacos with the side sauce is my favorite and in my opinion best around town! I highly recommend!

Enjoying dinner and a delicious margarita.

Everything from the service, appetizers, main dishes, and drinks were outstanding! They have unique flights of Mojitos and margaritas. Can't wait to try these next time, since I will certainly be going back! I love, Mexican restaurants, and this just became a top favorite! Seriously fantastic!

Everything was very good.! The hidden gem was the margarita..! It wasn't your typical sweet and sour and the alcohol sneaks up on you.! I had the poblano peppers and torts.! It was awesome.!

I live an hour and a half from here. Stopped in cus it was one of the only Mexican spots near by and oh myyy gooooddness.....come here now. I got one of their signature dishes called El Molcajete. It's an authentic Mexican dish made with steak, chicken, shrimps, Poblano peppers, cebollitas, nopal in an amazing Ranchero sauce....with melted monterrey cheese on top. Mmmmm. So good. Their Horchata! They serve it in an ice cold CHILLED GLASS!!! it's clean and the service is great. Need I say more??

The service was amazing, the food came out very fast and the prices were very reasonable. I liked the environment and I like how this places serves alcohol as well. We ordered three different dishes and they were all good. The rice and beans were delicious and the tacos were some of the best I've had in Morris! I've always though Habanero grill is by far the best taco spot in town but this place gives them a run for their money. The carne asada is flavorful and tender, the pastor is too. The T-bone steak was a bit veiny and wasn't the best whisking steak but it was still good. The nopales could have had a bit more chicken and not too much vegetables but overall this place was amazing. 5/5!

Best authentic Mexican food we have ever tasted! My husband took me here on Mother's Day, 2023. Service was exceptional! Food came out hot and fast! We will be back!

We were on a drive back from starved rock and decided to grab lunch right off the expressway. This eatery is in a not so attractive looking strip mall but don't let that scare you away. The food here is absolutely phenomenal. My husband and I were seriously impressed. My only wish was that it was closer to home. The tacos and carne asada were some of the best I've had. The salsa is exceptional as well. I would highly recommend this place!!!!!!

"Where do the locals eat?" is something I typically ask when I'm in uncharted waters. "The…read moreHideout" is aptly named because it's hidden behind the façade of an American Legion Post and flies beneath the radar of folks from out-of-town. But the public is welcome, and it's high time to share this local treasure on Yelp! Oh, this joint is nuttin' fancy. The Post decided to increase its visibility by putting a small sign on the outside of the building. Period. There is a large front room with a bar, and a few steps up is a spacious meeting hall suitable for groups and private parties. Gaming is between the two rooms. The décor (what décor?) is plain-plain but the vibe is friendly and festive. The recently-expanded menu features diner fare and pub grub with a smattering of Mexican and Cajun items. We dined with a group of friends and passed around a few apps. The crawfish soup earned thumbs-up, ditto the colossal batter-dipped onion rings and piquant fried pickles. I had a BBQ brisket wrap; it was bursting with possibly more than 8 oz. of tender and juicy smoked brisket. A red smoke ring was visible and the sauce was just right. My Missus said her burger, served on a rich brioche bun, was exceptional. Portions are huge and the down-to-earth prices include one side. There are several sides to pick from. I had the tangy but overdressed coleslaw. There are two pasta entrées on the menu - "Cajun" and "Alfredo." The "Cajun" turned out to be Alfredo pasta topped with diced tomatoes. Apart from that one dud, which was sent back to the kitchen, the food, service and value exceeded our expectations. Of note, dessert and coffee are not served here (but there's a Dunkin nearby). We gotta return for a Friday fish fry.

And the jalapeño bbq sauce, I will dreeaammm of this and try my hand to recreate it at home. We stopped in by happenstance because the building looked so cool. The decorations and style were tailored to the environment and very nice. Super clean, even the kitchen appliances were shining. Everything came super fast and they had no problem grabbing extra things for us to take to go. I wish we lived closer because this was an absolute slam dunk for a meal. I can't say enough.

Food was good and service was quick, considering that there were a lot of people around downtown for a bicycle race (they also have a walk-up window outside and a lot of the muddy bikers were ordering there rather than coming in). Ambiance is country casual, with rough-hewn wood tables and at least a couple of chairs made from cast iron tractor seats. The memory of Strum's lingered with me for the rest of the day, since I was full into the evening from our tasty lunch and my clothes were also redolent of BBQ smoke!

Ok. I have been to a few buffets and you have a lot of kinda warm food and not too cold stuff. Well…read morethe Country Farmhouse gets it right!! The hot items were hot. Not warm. But hot !! A couple kinds of French toast. Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, country fried steak, bacon, ham, corned beef hash, lots of potato casseroles, waffles, two kids of French toast...it just goes on and on. And then you have a full salad area with fresh fruit !! Oh and did I mention an entire buffet of pastries? Donuts, cinnamon rolls, danishes, muffins. It just kept going !!! Everything was fresh and replenished and delicious. The only thing I'd pass on was the Bloody Mary bar. Not a lot of stuffs. Cold chicken nuggets, bacon, green olives, some sad pickle spears, lemon wedges, celery, kielbasa, that was pretty much it. Would Have like to have seen cheese cubes or maybe some shrimp. But it was not bad, just nothing to write home about. All in all for 20.00 a person for food (I don't remember what the bloody bar was) it was a good deal. And they do it daily, not just on the weekends!!!
