Everything Great! We had an amazing and fun experience! The food was simply delicious!! Service was above and beyond. We felt welcomed and very attended to! We also order some food to go and a buffet to go. We had 2 buffets in house. The strawberries were bomb! The mash taters and gray was yummy! Ok. I have been to a few buffets and you have a lot of kinda warm food and not too cold stuff. Well the Country Farmhouse gets it right!! The hot items were hot. Not warm. But hot !! A couple kinds of French toast. Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, country fried steak, bacon,ham, corned beef hash, lots of potato casseroles, waffles, two kids of French toast...it just goes on and on. And then you have a full salad area with fresh fruit !! Oh and did I mention an entire buffet of pastries? Donuts, cinnamon rolls, danishes, muffins. It just kept going !!! Everything was fresh and replenished and delicious. The only thing I'd pass on was the Bloody Mary bar. Not a lot of stuffs. Cold chicken nuggets, bacon, green olives, some sad pickle spears, lemon wedges, celery, kielbasa, that was pretty much it. Would Have like to have seen cheese cubes or maybe some shrimp. But it was not bad, just nothing to write home about. All in all for 20.00 a person for food (I don't remember what the bloody bar was) it was a good deal. We have seen this advertised on Facebook. Went for a ride in the country on Memorial Day weekend & decided to try this place, especially since buffets are few & far between. My husband started with the breakfast section which was not terrible & I started with the salad. i was missing a couple of my favorites, especially my thousand island dressing. We have been here many times and have never had any issues until this last time. I attempted to order the very first thing on the menu which is a simple egg breakfast which includes toast and hash browns. I was going to order two mini waffles and pay for those as an extra. I placed my order and when I was verifying what was included I was told that toast was not included even though it is right there on the menu. The waitress even asked a supervisor if toast was included and was told no it was not even though it could not be more plain on the menu that it is included. Literally says includes toast and hash browns. I made a review on another site and immediately got a reply from the owner trying to cover their tracks by lying. Never going here again. ​​ read more

Went for the first time today at around 11am. There was breakfast and some lunch items yes, however the mini donuts,cinnamon rolls and dessert breads all looked exactly like Walmarts does.The country fried steak breading was soggy and was barely warm. The scrambled eggs were crusty and barely warm. The polish sausage must have been on the warmer for quite awhile because they were very overcooked and dry. The cubed potatoes weren't that good some were done some were still needing to be cooked longer. The hashbrowns were barely cooked only showing a very light color and were mushy. The bacon and sausage was cold. Biscuits were not homemade and were cold as was the not too good of gravy that also had quite the layers of crust in pan. There is no hot cheese sauce for any of the nachos and shells they had only shredded, by the way the refried beans they had on the warmer had the top 1/2 inch layer nothing but crusty hard formed beans. Obviously no one stirs as they should on the buffet or it wouldn't have looked as bad as it did plus the side meats for tacos/nachos were dry and just warm not hot. Will we be back, no unfortunately. Looked like cheap hotel breakfast food and tasted like it. The sweet tea was not at all good. Service was good but that is why I'm giving it a 1. When I see a sign of a restaurant that's named The Country Farmhouse it makes you think hey there's going to be good homemade breakfast,lunch and desserts...not what we experienced at all. We have eaten here 3 times so far. Each time the food was very hot and delicious. We love the decor with its rustic country charm. Never had any issues with service either. The coffee flights...LOL...word of warning, you are not going to finish it. They go all out on them. With plenty of accessories to go with it, you will see. If ordering coffee flights, make sure there are 2 or 3 people total to enjoy them. Otherwise its a waste of money for just one person. Buffets I dont ususally frequent for obvious reasons. Ordered for delivery. Missing biscuits and gravy, side of gravy, incomplete order of French toast, no syrup packaged for an order with French toast. Steak was LOW LOW quality. Called and spoke to a worker who asked if we could come pick up the missing items. No that's why we ordered for delivery in the first place. Then I'm assuming the owner called me later and asked the same thing, 3 hours after the fact. We already ate guy. Very frustrating experience for a $100 order. The breakfast buffet was great! There was quite the variety, from biscuits and gravy to French toast. The bacon was terrific! We also had bottomless mimosas for 10$ on a Sunday morning! Do NOT waste your time .... Especially for a holiday brunch buffet. We tried this for Easter Sunday and what a disappointment. Our reservation was at 10 ... along with a lot of other people. We were told to check in and then wait outside and we would receive a text when our table was ready. Waited, waited and at 10:20 (mind you after a ton of other people had cut in line and were obviously being seated as they checked in) I went in and asked. It was a complete cluster. Staff was rude. The manager was EXTREMEY RUDE. We were finally seated. Food was all breakfast. No lunch items at all. When we had booked this, the photos and advertisements said they would have roast turkey, fried chicken, roast beef, etc. but that was NOT the case. So for those of you who like lunch items (mind you it's called a BRUNCH which is breakfast AND lunch) .... The lunch items don't come out until a lot later. I was so KINDLY (more like rudely) told that by the manager. So my husband had very little to eat. The manager was rude and basically accused me of wanting the brunch for free .... Which was as far from the truth as you can get, however I wasn't about to pay full price for both brunches. I've never known a manager as rude as this one and she refused to provide me with her name. She definitely SHOULD NOT be in the position she is. All in all a huge disappointment so if you're looking for a great buffet brunch... don't waste your time here, oh and don't complain otherwise the manager will get in your face and complain about how people have told her all morning to "f*** off" (and yes this really did happen to me)! read more

This was our first time and definitely our last time. We live in Joliet and i constantly see "The Country Farmhouse" posting on Facebook and everything looks so amazing. Unfortunately I couldn't be more disappointed. We had 3 adults and one child. The child was under 3 so was free but the price of $90 for a brunch buffet was outrageous! We did order a coffee flight but nothing special. & then when you seen the food ..... goodness! We went on St. Patrick's day for the Corn-beef and cabbage. Yeah that was pretty much all they had besides chicken fingers and fried chicken. Not much of a variety. Dont eat The Macaroni salad I did a google review and clearly the owner didn't like it. Please don't eat here! I wished I had not. My husband and I just ate here spent $50. for me to vomit immediately. The food was cold and re-re-refried, chewy and inedible. I have had my types of dressing's/stuffing but this one tasted like they used every bread including the dessert kind to make what most likely made me sick. Or it could have been the mashed potatoes with the turkey gravy that tasted rotten, like spoiled rotten. I can't say this enough don't eat here. Tried this restaurant today again, thinking maybe it'd improve but it is definitely 3 strikes you're out. The food is just ok & it has always been overpriced, but the final strike was charging the "holiday buffet" price for today. I thought it was a mistake since we hadn't been told about it, and there was nothing extra or exciting on the buffet. Apparently, the bin of soggy corned beef and cabbage makes it a St. Patrick's celebration. We were disappointed with the food before we realized we'd paid $45 plus tip for a subpar experience. Super friendly and attentive staff even though it was super busy.our server was always asking if we needed anything even though there were parties of 30+ people every where!we did order flights of coffee and mimosas, which took a while to get there but it was obvious why as they were packed! You could tell even though they were busy they put all the attention to detail on the drinks- very yummy and creative. My only mistake was trying to drink them all AND eat the buffet.i can't believe other people post about the prices-$19.99 is an amazing price for their fresh food that they were constantly checking and putting out new items.Any other place on Easter Sunday brunch would be $49.95 a person!
