Saturday night dinner with friends at La Casita Cafe in Globe, AZ. First time here. Chips and salsa were good, they brought out red and green chili and it was even better. Got schooled on the difference between a Cheese Quesadilla and a Cheese Crisp in Globe. We then ordered a couple of cheese crisps with the red and green chili Christmas Tree Style from New Mexico. Also had a burrito with the red and green chili. It was all good. Prices were very reasonable. Service was ok. All good here. Good family restaurant!

Combo plate.. Tamale was huge and yummy. Taco was also yummy.

Busy busy during Saturday lunch time.. Good was pretty good... Service was good.. Had menudo.. Not the best but it was good.. Ordered some other dishes and they were good. Ask for the extra spicy salsa.. You pay little extra but it is very good.. Little spicy too

Pork is a vegetable! Who knew?

Well, i learned by eating at this fine establishment that pork is a vegetable!? We ordered food to go since they would not seat us despite being there an hour before closing. Not only was there pork in my "vegetarian" burrito but they forgot to give us our side of rice and a tamale a la carte, which we did pay for.

Service was good but not food. Bland, not tasty. Certainly lacking the "authentic, unique Mexican taste" they boast of!!

Unlike a lot of restaurants, it didn't smell like grease. Our waitress, Desiree, was friendly and very attentive. The food was some of the best Mexican food I have had in a long time. Fortunately they were not out of the carne asada for my burro. My husband's shrimp were still steaming over 5 minutes after they were served. The red sauce they were in tasted good. The chips were fresh and salsa had a nice kick to it. We tried the deep fried jalapeños and decided to place an order of them to go along with a combo plate and another burro. We will be back. It's a bit of a drive, but if we can drive an hour to Mesa to eat, we can do the same for Globe (ourother two experiences with Globe food were horrible).

We shared a table for six with another couple who happened to be passing through town as well. I was disappointed that they didn't have any chili rellenos that day, but I got a cheese enchilada and beef taco from the ala carte menu. It was all tasty. We also had some complimentary chips and salsa (a bit zippy for my taste, but my husband liked it.). Service was friendly and efficient and the food came out quickly.

Whole beans here are lard free and vegetarian. The flour tortillas contain lard. It's counter service fast food feel but the inside was nicely decorated. They have this plate as a vegan option as is and the person I spoke too was knowledgeable about ingredients . They had 3 different house-made salsas on the salsa bar. They gave me a sample of the Jamaica drink which was WAY too sweet for me. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! Located right by Burger King, I was looking for some hearty Mexican food!…read more I ordered the #5 and it arrived to my table with care! Did you see the extra little chips around my beans? That was nice. It's the little things that make customers feel appreciated! They have two salsas, red habanero and green tomatillo type, which was my favorite. The guacamole was actually guac - not full of sour cream like other restaurants use to increase the product. The girl working in the restaurant had such a JOYFUL presence and was in a great mood, a little giggly, with the cutest laugh. She even helped a little boy and his mom with a toy/quarter machine. The little boy skipped his way out, he was so happy! This crew must enjoy what they're doing! Guys cooking in the back were fast! She recognized customers as they came in and was kind to everyone, wishing all a Happy Thanksgiving! The food was EXACTLY what I was looking for... hot, fresh, seasoned nicely and very filling. The Burro meat was deliciously juicy, rice - savory, beans - authentic! Enchilada sauce was full of flavor, but not spicy. Loved it! This place played nice calming music, not too loud and the tile work in the entire place was beautiful! There's plenty of table space including high tops. Bathroom smelled like it had just been cleaned, everything was so tidy! I'll be back again to try the carne Asada!

Finding gems like these on Yelp is what keeps me loyal to Yelp! Ive been on Yelp since 2006 (close…read moreto 20 years and well before Google maps or reviews ever existed) and without it, I would have missed out on a lot of cool and neat places like this! Thanks Yelp for helping me find 20 years of good eats, drink and fun! La Luz Del Dia means "the light of the day" in Spanish and boy is this place bright and cheery and the perfect start to a glorious and beautiful Sunday morning. You know this place is gonna be good because as I drove down the deserted road nary a car through downtown Globe and arrive at this place, you see a bunch of cars parked huddled near this place. I knew it wws gonna be good. I walk into this unassuming place and almost every table is taken at close to 9am on Sunday. There were a few seats at the counter facing the open kitchen so I made a beeline to sit down. Wait staff and customers in here are so nice and friendly! The cute girls working here are fast and efficient, and super sweet and all with a smile. I was pretty hungry as I hadn't eaten since Friday breakfast and was ready to gobble up a good breakfast. I had a chorizo burro (same as a burrito, still trying to figure out the difference) and a cup of coffee. Coffee was ok, and did the job. But, the burro was great! Southwest breakfast burritos are some of the best, and when you're in the Southwest, definitely don't pass this up to have. This burro was also huge and despite the fact I was famished, I could only eat a half of my burro. You can get red or green salsa, but since I am a spice pansy, I opted for the red, which was still more spicy than I can handle. By 9:20am, I was finished eating and ready to go. You go up to the cashier and pay there. There's a desert and drinks case by the register and lots of goodies there to choose from too. There was baklava, organized cake and brownies on offer. I also spied a chamoy pickle for sale too, here in the Southwest when the summers get so hot, having a pickle is sometimes in order to replace the salt we lose sweating so much! Overall, I loved this place! Loved the atmosphere as its kind of an old school diner, and everyone in here was a delight and the food was delicious! I'll be back again when coming thru Globe again! And you should definitely check this place out when passing thru Globe!

Tiny location, the counter top is the choice seat. Food was really good with ample portions. The green chilis and pork in the Huevos Ranchero were excellent. Will come back again.

Our choices were Copper Bistro and Nurd Burger Cafe and for no particular reason we decided on Coper Bistro. We were surprised and richly rewarded by their cheese burger, fries and onion rings. I may have made mention in other reviews that a burger patty must protrude beyond the bun in order to attract my attention. This patty protruded well beyond the brioche bun and, better yet, it was hand crafted, not pulled out of a box of 300 other patties that were shaped exactly the same. And the beef was flavorful. We both enjoyed the fries and onion rings. Our meal was so filling we didn't eat dinner that night. Oh, the staff are super friendly, attentive and downright welcoming. If you find yourself in Globe, you could do a lot worse that supping at Copper Bistro.
