    Creamy Chicken Sandwich

This was the best chicken salad sandwich I've ever had! Affordable and huge portions. I will Be back next time I'm in the area!

Have been here several times with friends and it is a favorite. Have had the same order each time. 10 ounce ribeye medium rare with loaded baked potato and salad with honey mustard dressing. The steak was perfectly cooked, salad was crisp and fresh. Ambience is small town charm.

We stopped for lunch here on our way to Pinetop. It had good reviews. Staff was friendly and efficient, food arrived in a timely manner, there were plenty of tables, and the place was clean. I had their turkey bandito sandwich with onion rings. The rings would've been better with less batter, but were still good. The sandwich had lots of turkey, cheese, bacon, and some mild chili strips. Lots of food, so I ended up with a takeaway box.

I've been visiting Globe since I was a child and I've never noticed this restaurant! Today we stopped there. The place is small but clean and friendly! The waitress was friendly and patient, she gave recommendations as to what to get. She was right on the money! The breakfast bowl was vegetable and we added bacon. The bowl was so big we have enough for tmw and the next day! Well worth the price. We also ordered the French toast! Yummy! Crunchy, and tender not soggy which is rare! This place is a MUST!!!!! Go to Globe and visit the Copper Bistro!!! You will be Happy and Satisfied!

Already dug into the special! Thanks again Charlene

Had the fried catfish basket! Gotta say was delicious and plentiful! Coleslaw is Soo tasty! Old fashioned with raisins and apples! Partner had the large shrimp basket, again plentiful and I am told was delicious! Service here is great, my favorite person is Charlene but we are always happy with personnel! The dining room is the busiest one in town! That should say a lot, friendly, inviting and filling!

Food: HUGE portions. The chef salad had copious amounts of meat, hard boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes, croutons and lots of dressing. The hamburger was grilled perfectly, fried jalapeño, tomato, lettuce, pickles and a nice soft bun. The fries were good too. The service was spot on for a busy Sunday, lunch service. The restaurant itself is small-ish, but don't let that fool you. It seemed like everyone was well served.

SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS…read more Judy's CookHouse 2280 E Hwy 60 Globe, AZ 85501 Companion and I were exploring mining towns and came across this restaurant. We stopped for lunch. On entering we found a thoroughly modern fast food restaurant. We were seated immediately and offered menus and drinks. Quick inspection revealed a quiet, clean place with waitresses ready to be of service. The menu was 3 pages long and had lots of favorites on it. It was nice to see a fair number of senior items listed. Companion ordered the bacon burger done medium. It was cooked perfectly and appeared to be homemade and about a third of a pound. It was graced with nicely cooked bacon strips, american cheese, lettuce, pickles, tomato, onion and BBQ sauce. It came with a nice side of creamy cole slaw. For myself, I ordered the green chile burger done rare. Unlike many other places they will cook the burger the way you like it and mine was cooked to perfection. Again, a nice big patty with jack cheese melting over it along with lettuce and tomato and a large green chile draped over it. This was one of the very best burgers I have ever been served. It was dripping down my hands and arms, but that is why there are sinks in bathrooms. An outstanding burger served with perfectly cooked onion rings and an extra side of cole slaw that I ordered. There were huge sweet rolls that were just put out on the counter, but I didn't have the room to eat one, and companion couldn't even finish the burger that was ordered. If I am ever back in that area again you can be sure I will stop there and order the same burger again. Service was fast and sanitation was excellent and spotlessly clean. My only regret is that we don't have any place even close to this in the Phoenix area. An outstanding lunch. 5 stars

I opted for a burger with fries. The burger is reminiscent of burger you might find in a diner. Quite tasty actually. Split a sweet roll for dessert. Unlike a lot of restaurants, it didn't smell like grease. Our waitress, Desiree, was friendly and very attentive. The food was some of the best Mexican food I have had in a long time. Fortunately they were not out of the carne asada for my burro. My husband's shrimp were still steaming over 5 minutes after they were served. The red sauce they were in tasted good. The chips were fresh and salsa had a nice kick to it. We tried the deep fried jalapeños and decided to place an order of them to go along with a combo plate and another burro. We will be back. It's a bit of a drive, but if we can drive an hour to Mesa to eat, we can do the same for Globe (ourother two experiences with Globe food were horrible).

We shared a table for six with another couple who happened to be passing through town as well. I was disappointed that they didn't have any chili rellenos that day, but I got a cheese enchilada and beef taco from the ala carte menu. It was all tasty. We also had some complimentary chips and salsa (a bit zippy for my taste, but my husband liked it.). Service was friendly and efficient and the food came out quickly.

The first time we…read morecame, we accidentally ate before we came and so we had so much food leftover (which is not a bad problem!). So this time, we split the zesty orange chicken and a Philly roll between us for the perfect amount of food for the both of us. The food was delicious too. The orange chicken had the very essential and yummy flavor of an orange! And anything that can get me to eat more veggies (such as this dish) is a win to me. If I had any complaints, I would've wanted more chicken in the dish, since it was made up of mostly noodles. The sushi was good! Maybe not "knock-your-socks-off" good, but we did just go with the basic Philly roll instead of something more exciting. Their menu had some really interesting sounding sushi rolls. I will say though, that the Philly roll was very pretty! Otherwise, our waitress was great and checked up on us. Our food was out pretty fast, and for Globe, I would definitely consider this more of an upscale/still casual place for a date. We'll be back to get more fancy Asian fusion food.

The reason I am giving this place 2 stars today instead of 1 is because our server Lauren saved me…read morefrom having an allergic reaction due to observed cross contamination in the kitchen and told us. We haven't been here in years due to the last time we visited we had a very negative experience. Today was a little better, but not by much. My 6yo and I ordered 3 rolls(california, rainbow and caterpillar) and an appetizer(coconut tempura shrimp). We received 2 rolls before our appetizer, which to me was weird. They all came with wasabi and ginger, and I asked our waitress Loren if I could have some ginger without wasabi as I am mildly allergic. She said no because they use the same hand to serve both so the wasabi is in the ginger. I thought 'that sucks, cross contamination'. When the final roll(caterpillar) came out it had 3 sauces on it; unagi sauce, spicy Mayo and Siracha. I asked her when she came by again if it was supposed to have the spicy ones, she said 'oh yes, the caterpillar comes with all 3'. I had ordered it for my 6yo to eat, the menu has none of the spicy sauces listed in the description, just the unagi sauce. So, buyer beware, not all sauces are listed on the menu and if you have an allergy you might want to eat elsewhere because if there is one cross contamination, there are bound to be others.

We were in full shade. The owner handled this as well as our order and bringing out the food. He was friendly and engaging. The place is cute inside and was clean. The only disappointment was that the half pound of brisket I got was chopped rather than sliced. I am sure that is on me for not realizing it would come that way. Regardless, the meat was lean and tender and has a nice smokey taste. I prefer not to use sauce and this meat didn't need any. The burnt ends (both beef and pork belly) were good but I would stick to the brisket. My husband got a baked potato and it was loaded up nicely. The fries were very good and served piping hot. The order size was generous. If you find yourself in or near Globe, this place is worth a stop.

The place has a no-nonsense, small-town charm. You walk in and it smells like someone's been tending a smoker since sunrise. I went for the brisket and ribs combo, and it was everything I hoped for. The brisket had that perfect smoke ring and melted in my mouth, and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone with just enough bite to keep it interesting. Their house BBQ sauce is tangy with a little kick--not too sweet, not too spicy, just right. What really stood out was the portion size. It's not just generous--it's borderline ridiculous. Watching HUGE BBQ PLATTER CHALLENGE | BeardMeatsFood, I thought it might be exaggerated for the camera, but nope. They serve up serious plates. You can see why Adam (BeardMeatsFood) was sweating through that challenge. The staff were friendly and seemed genuinely proud of what they're serving. I chatted with one of the guys behind the counter who mentioned they've had folks come in just because of the YouTube video. It's cool to see a local spot get that kind of attention. If you're into food challenges, the vibe is very much like what you see in DRUNK GUY BETS BAR STAFF I'LL BREAK THE RECORD ... and THIS CHALLENGE HAS BEEN FAILED 70 TIMES! | 13TH ...--fun, a little chaotic, and full of personality. But even if you're just there for a regular meal, Gila Hogs delivers. Bottom line: if you're anywhere near Globe, AZ, and you love BBQ, this place is worth the stop. It's not polished or fancy--it's just damn good food made by people who care. So Sad this place is now closed since I was there !!!!
