Jen & I love our Mexican Food and this area has several restaurants to choose from, it's been several years since being to this one so being Jen's first trip here I thought we'd stop in, it was around 3:30 - 4:00pm a little early for dinner but had a game to go to, we were greeted by a fridenly staff member and seated promptly as the rush hasn't been in yet, Jen order the Pizza Taco ( different ) and I had the 3 street tacos, the tacos weren't bad but not the best meat was a bit dry and lacked flavor, refried beans were ok and the Spanish rice so so ok it lacked flavor and didn't seem that fresh, Jen's Pizza Taco looked amazing but not the best in taste, again lacked flavor. I don't think I'll be back in a while but hope the restaurant can make some changes to keep people coming through their doors for some good Mexican Food. FYI the murials on the walls inside are pretty cool to see.

It's more of a tomato with a very slight, and I do mean SLIGHT spice/seasoning. There was a seven-year-old little girl sitting on the table behind me and even she said it was not spicy. I wish the burrito meat had been fresh, but mine was old tasting, dry and hard - and definitely needed seasoning. Inside is nice and there's plenty of seating. Anytime someone says Safford needs a Chili's, I cringe... not because I don't like Chili's, but because good help is hard to find in a small town. The owners here seem to understand that, keeping things lean and hands-on with very little hired help. As a result, the service from the husband-and-wife team is genuinely great... though when it gets busy, things can slow down. I've experienced that firsthand, and walked out once a couple years ago after a long wait...but I came back, and I'm glad I did. The food is, simply put, amazing. The pizza has that perfect charred crust you usually only find in bigger cities or on the East Coast. The Italian sodas are excellent. I've yet to try anything, from appetizers to pasta dishes, that didn't hit the mark. Prices are a bit higher than most spots in town, but the quality absolutely justifies it when it's in the budget. I've heard the name "Fancy Pizzeria" was intentional: they wanted to set the expectation that this isn't your typical greasy pizza joint... and they deliver on that, consistently. The dining area has expanded quite a bit recently, and the decor is creative and unique, with many of the dishes and utensils sourced from local thrift shops. All in all, this place stands out in Safford in the best way. I genuinely love everything about it and hope they can continue to operate in the years to come!

Customer service isn't the best. For the most part, the Waitresses are friendly and they really try, although they seem to get overwhelmed when busy. Not their fault. The cooks don't help as they are very slow! Be prepared for an extended wait ‍ it's Safford. Not many choices in town to get great service. Now the food isn't bad. Great Steak Picado & Eggs - Tacos are very good. Their Green Enchiladas (Chicken - Beef - or Cheese) are delicious. They do have Menudo on the weekends ( 4 out of 10) - just expect an extended wait when you visit, if you're lucky enough to get a table ‍‍ sometimes I just choose to walk out and take my chances at one of the two places in town to eat breakfast at! I've shared my customer concerns with management, but they don't seem to care ‍ Plus they frequently close down for the weekend ànd/or close either at 12 noon or 2/3 pm. We keep going back cause it's a nice cozy - home town restaurant with as close to home style American/Mexican Food you'll get in this area of Eastern Arizona! Misty was my server and she was very pleasant and checked on me often. She recommended the chicken tenders basket, so I ordered it. Tenders, fries and a soft drink included for $15+. Score. 4% cash discount. The dining room was clean and quiet, it was well past the lunch hour. My food came out hot and fresh. It was good. My only complaint was I paid cash and was given change for the credit card price. I didn't get the 63 cents discount. Small issue but annoying. I wasn't going to bother her for the change. I left all that I received for her tip. Will I return? probably not, the menu was not that intriguing to me and the atmosphere was typical sports bar and a bit dark.
