As for the food, I ordered the Smokehouse platter with ribs, pulled chicken, and tri-tip, along with fries as my side and an order of pickle chips for the table. Unfortunately, the meats were quite dry. I had requested that the meat come with sauce, but it was served without any. That said, there were several sauces available on the table, so I'm not sure it would have made much of a difference whether it came from the kitchen already sauced or not. The beans were decent, but nothing particularly memorable. The highlight of the meal was definitely the pickle chips--they were flavorful, crispy, and easily the best thing we ordered. Overall, the service staff did the best they could under what appeared to be challenging circumstances, but the food itself fell short of expectations.

He came back and they said that they combined the two kids orders into one box. No big deal. I opened the box and there are two tiny pieces of tortillas and cheese (no where near enough for a small 5 year old kid). I went back in and told them. The girl at the front said, "I was the one that took your call. I told you how big the quesadillas were, what's the problem?!" I told her that I would like another one. She charged me full price even though I didn't want another side that comes with it. She went behind the counter and when her co-worker asked her what happened she said, "I don't know what her problem is". I couldn't believe it. When she handed it to me, I said thank you, she said "Yeah" flipantly and literally walked away. I walked away knowing I had been kind...maybe she was having a bad day. They'll try not to cuss too much, but they're not above a comment or two at your back as you walk away. They sure as heck won't mask, wear gloves, or sanitize between customers, so bring wipes for the cups and hand sanitizer to stay safer. I'd be upset about this behavior in a more, um, cosmopolitan place or somewhere that prides itself on hospitality, but this is not one of those places. Rural Nevada towns have turned not caring about other people into a sort-of local art form. This is, actually, good service in this neck of the...sagebrush. Recommended, in part because there's nothing else to recommend, really. Besides, the highway is RIGHT there, the ying to Battle Mountain's yang; we like Battle Mountain because it's not highway, and the highway because...well, you get the idea.
