BUYER BEWARE! SCAM!! Purchased a Groupon for a Brazilian Blowout . She only works Saturdays - requires you to come in for a consult first to tell you the $125 is not the actual price ' read fine print.' Made appointment weeks in advance showed up on time ( cancelled my whole Saturday) only to walk in and have her tell me she's running an hour behind and not apologetic. I asked why she couldn't have texted me since I drove 40 minutes etc... she just repeated an hour behind let me know what you want to do. Well it's hard to get a refund on a Groupon so I came back in an hour she basically said sit' flung product hastily- this wasn't my first Brazilian so I can tell you she didn't apply the product properly then had told me weeks prior she would rinse the final product- NOPE! She didn't give any Instructions, say thank you , hi or bye just absolutely appalling! I'm a paying customer who came for a consult, showed up on time only to be treated so poorly and with so little respect about my time, money or who I am as a human being. Shame on her ! read more

OMG you must email me Michele this woman Needs to be sued!!! She threatened me! She ruined my hair as well after delaying my appointment for weeks to go on her impromptu vacations! Must be nice huh? She fried my ombré too! She never even washed out my hair and re-blew it dry which is A NECESSARY STEP!!!! this woman must must must be stopped!!! She's taking short cuts! Not giving a damn because obviously she's rich and can just take vacation after vacation!!!! She told me my hair would not need to be cut then a brazillian blow out specialist of ten years consulted with me and told me my shoulder length hair needed four inches cut! I have gone twice to La Chaveux Salon and both those times I went I was VERY happy with the results! I went earlier this year for my birthday to get a brazilian done since I wanted to have straight hair every day instead of my natural curly hair. The process didn't take that long since my hair isn't that thick or lengthy (I have shoulder length naturally blonde hair). La'Toya did an amazing job! In the end, my hair felt light and smooth, and it also looked a whole shade lighter! When I would go to wash my hair everyday I would let it air dry and it would always dry straight; and I was so excited the first couple times because I wouldn't have to hit up the old flat iron. Unfortunately the brazilian blowouts only last a couple months so you have to get them touched up. I went for my second blowout three months ago and La'Toya did a fabulous job once again. This time she noticed a significant difference on how much healthier my hair was and that my hair had grown quite a bit since the last time I had seen her. The touch up didn't take too long as my hair was still quite straight but it did have a bit of a wave here and there. It has been another three months since I last got it done and it is STILL straight. It does have a slight bit of a wave at the roots though so I'm planning to book another appointment in January. PLEASE, please read this review before stepping foot into this salon!! Latoya is COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL and she COMPLETELY RUINED my hair! I purchased a groupon for a a Brazilian blowout and I should have walked out of the door when she started off by being 1 1/2 hrs late for the appointment. Because she forgot about my appointment, she had 5 other people she had scheduled to do hair for around the same time. Before she started, I asked her if she was used to working with highlighted hair and she told me she had her hair platinum and did the BB on her (African-American) hair every 2 months so she it was no problem for her. She started my hair and completed the bottom portion of my hair and then told me to wait outside while she was going to work on 2 others. Half an hour later, she called me back in and began spraying the rest of my hair with water. I completely panicked as I have had at least 15 BB done in the past 6 or 7 years and I had NEVER had anyone do that before! (not to mention doing a BB in stages) When I questioned her on it, she told me that since she let me sit there so long, she was 'extending' the solution with water because when she started flat ironing, 'neither of us would be able to breathe unless we went outside because of the formaldehyde in the treatment'. She proceeded to flat iron my hair while it was damp with the water and product. i became very nervous because every time I've had it done they work on my hair dry. When she was finishing she told me I needed a trim on the ends of my hair because they were in bad shape. Now I know why! When I got home and washed my hair 2 days later, I took the towel off of my wet hair to find that the hair she had sprayed with water and ironed wet was completely singed as though somebody had taken a lighter to it. I immediately texted her a picture of it and she started right into blaming it on the condition of my hair. Of course she had never mentioned anything about my hair being in bad condition until then. My hair was in good condition before going in there so I also sent her pics of my hair I took on vacation a couple of days before. She offered to have me come in and she would condition it but would not refund the groupon. I had to choose between her trying to fix what she did or refunding the groupon for a service that obviously had gone WAY WRONG!! WHAT? After agreeing with letting her do the conditioning, I contacted the Brazilian Blowout company and spoke at some length with the rep. He told me what I needed to do and told me that I should not let her TOUCH MY HAIR AGAIN as it is 'hairdressing 101 not to flat iron wet hair' and that it is completely wrong to have left me between stages to work on other people because she may have gotten confused with what step she was on. After speaking with her and trying to get her to do the right thing and provide me with the products I needed to try and repair my hair, she is completely unwilling to do give me the necessary products and refuses to admit or take responsibility for my fried hair (which will probably take years to grow out). I am left with sizzled hair and she has decided she is done with it. My regular hairdresser is astounded at her lack of professionalism and unwillingness to correct a severe problem that her lack of knowledge or lack of attention has caused. People make mistakes and I understand that, but a sincere apology and willingness to correct the mistake go a long way. She has provided NEITHER!! Please save your hair and DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID BY STEPPING INTO THIS SALON. read more
