The food has arrived! Taco on right, plantains on left

Driving through on the way south in 29, stopped in for a quick lunch. Wow. We will be back! Everything was fresh and tasty and the portions were good. The tables are cute, and the outdoor setting made it feel like a party. Highly recommended. The 6" super taco was great - ate some of it with a fork and was then able to pick up. The plantains were among the tastiest I've ever had!

We had just got into town and we heard this was the place to go for birrias tacos and Pupusas. We arrived and they made the stuff within I would say less than Thirty Minutes. The ambiance was really nice to bad it was cold if not we would of stayed there to eat. This a place I definitely definitely recommended

Taco Birrias, large esquite and tacos de carnitas.

Amazing food! The service was a bit slow but the taste of food and the atmosphere was so outstanding that we didn't mind the waiting.

A weekend trip to Culpeper. Cute outdoor seating. The food truck is well decorated and matches the colorful bench and tables. The food is soooo good!!! We will be back on our next visit.

I love the food here. I have been multiple times and everything has always been delicious, fresh tasting, and authentic. Food is served quickly. The only negative thing I have to say is that the music is always WAY too loud. I went with three other people and we could barely talk to each other. Seating is limited too. I highly recommend this restaurant!

    Birria tacos

I like the food truck location as well as the brick and mortar. Ive had the birria tacos twice which was good however this time they weren't very flavorful and the consume was very greasy with meat fat at the top. The elote is amazing from this place so I always get a side of it. The pupusas are OK...I've had much better and wouldn't recommend them from here unless you have no other option. The carnitas tacos are really good and come with plenty of meat. The cheese fries are great too! The menu is pretty large so there's plenty of options to choose from.

Food truck with brightly painted covered picnic benches set the ambiance at this delicious location. It's incredibly difficult to find real Mexican food, but this truck delivers! I got three shrimp tacos and hubs got the torta Cubana. We waited maybe five minutes for our food to be ready. The shrimp tacos were bomb: real corn tortillas that were warm and pliable while sturdy, slaw, a ripe slice of avocado and 4-5 delicious, perfectly sized shrimp. It came with a tasty red sauce with *real* heat and green sauce that was deliciously mild but flavorful. Oh, and a ripe, juicy slice of lime. The torta Cubana was enormous and came with a robust serving of fries with delicious spices on them. There was too much between the very fresh slices of bun/bread/torta for me to list, so refer to picture. Hubby says he definitely recommends it, and it was more than enough for a meal. Porta-potties are there in case you're wondering . If you like real Mexican foood that's fresh and cooked with love at a super casual outdoor dining setting, this place is for you. I'll definitely return to try other menu items.

I was walking nearby and a group of guys passed me and walked inside. And for some reason at that particular time in the moment In that very second it hit me. Go check it out. Let me tell you all I'm glad I did. I went in scoped the place out thinking get something. Try it out, yelp it. I watched the guys order these soup bowls and I looked at the menu above behind the ordering station with the cashier. They guys ordered soup dinners instead of burritos or tacos I thought, ok must be good I was thinking. It looked very authentic on the menu. I walked up and wanted to try something simple and small not a soup yet had to peak my interest with the taste buds ya know what I'm saying. So I was wanting a burrito, I asked the cashier gentleman questions what goes inside, how is it, what's it come with like sides and all. He told me asked me what meat I wanted for the burrito I was ordering, I said ground beef, he said they don't have that, closest thing would be the steak. I'm not going to lie when I heard no ground beef I was going to say cancel on my order and I was going to leave. I was upset, hearing no ground beef as an option. But I stood there with the thought get the steak option that he offered, do it. Just do it. Say it. And I did, I kept the ordering going. I ordered the steak meat especial burrito. And omg it was fantastic! I fell in love with this place. I definitely recommend this place. If you ever walk into a restaurant and are not up for taking chances, well screw that, break the boundaries take the extra step surprise yourself. You may be shocked and confused on what you have missed. You may actually find something that makes your taste buds happy. Enjoy take a leap of taste. Wink Wink

I brought my mother and she couldn't say enough good about the experience (her lunch margarita might have had something to do with that). Both our plates tasted fan-fricking-tastic. I came here for the chilaquiles and even though it's not the real sauce that is supposed to go with it it still is good and a good presentation. The sauce that they use is more like the type that you put on top of an enchilada cheesy but still flavorful. The steak that accompanied it I going to be tough as cardboard but it was actually pretty tender and has some really nice fatty marbling that I enjoyed. The two eggs are easy, well I don't think the cook knows but over easy is. I got over hard and over medium but that's okay, that's just being too picky. When you first come in, you're greeted with about a dozen tables that are a very intricate design, and you can tell they put a lot of money into this interior. The tables do not wobble! I went to wash my hands in the restroom and it was clean as a whistle, this must mean their kitchen is clean as well. Definitely a comforting feeling. Parking is kind of limited but you can always Park next door to the other businesses. The music is a nice Mexican accent with music that pertains according to your surroundings and menu placements. It works well and not very loud where you can't hear yourself eat.. There was one lady who was working by herself and I kind of felt sorry for her because she's doing all the running but it's not that busy enough for another person and her service was pretty much outstanding for me. Even though she misunderstood or misheard what I ordered and receive something completely different in front of me, without rolling an eye or any size she apologized profusely and took it to the back to bring me what I really ordered. That's service there and that did not ruin the moment because the attitude is the way you should have it any restaurant mistake or not. Stopped here Friday (6/18) afternoon to pick up a quick lunch to take home with us after doing some shopping. It was around 1:15 p.m. & the parking lot had about 4-5 vehicles of patrons besides us. One table was already dining; the rest of us were waiting for our orders. And the wait tends to be on the long side. Husband ordered 3 regular chicken tacos; while I ordered 1 chicken, 1 marinated pork, & 1 tripe - all were $3 each, were in warm double soft corn tortillas, were liberally topped with diced onion & cilantro, & came with a couple of fresh lime wedges & quite a few sliced radishes. One small plastic cup of "green sauce" & one of "red sauce" were included. Unfortunately, we found these tacos disappointing. The chicken consisted of tiny little dried-up nubbins of meat that were difficult to get down, even with sauce, & my marinated pork taco was almost inedibly salty. The only possible saving grace would have been my tripe taco, which was moist & flavorful, but that one taco was all-tortilla & almost no filling. Maybe 2 tablespoons at most. Bottom Line: For around $20.00, this was a disappointment when compared to the "La Chiapaneca" food truck on the other side of town. However, we did see a couple of large overstuffed Cubano-type sandwiches & other items go by that tells me that perhaps the "regular tacos" are not their strong point. Staff were very pleasant & friendly, but like I said - you may have quite a wait because it also looked like quite a few folks had called their orders in ahead of time & were just there to pick up. Another tip - be sure to check your order before leaving, as while we were there one woman returned & complained that her order was missing an item for which she then had to endure another long wait. She was not pleased.

No problem there, & they were very friendly & interrupted their repast to put in our order of a few chicken tacos to go ($3 each). I asked for my tacos with "everything"; husband ordered his with "no onions". Took about 20+ minutes, so we wandered around the space which looked to be under renovation as they seemed to be putting in an adjoining bakery. They did have a bakery case, but none of the offerings were labeled or priced, & frankly did not look fresh, so we didn't bother with any of that. Took our tacos home & really were disappointed. Yes, the tortillas were fresh, but the amount of chicken (a bit overcooked) was stingy & my "everything" tacos consisted of chopped onions & cilantro. No cheese, no tomatoes, no sauce, no nothing else. Husband's "no onions" tacos had NOTHING. Not only "no onions", but no nothing. Just the overcooked chicken in dry tortillas. Sorry folks, but La Chiapeneca serves up 100% better tacos than this place.
