This is a small, open-air, locally owned business that specializes in produce, and I've been in…read morehere regularly for years now. The featured fruit and vegetables are organized in baskets or stacks, and the varieties change with the seasons. When you're here, you'll interact with the owner, who's a lot of fun to chat with. He explained to me once how the produce comes from different parts of the country as the seasons change. When things are growing in Florida, the bulk of it comes from there. As it gets hotter here and the plants wither, the produce starts coming in from Georgia, North Carolina, etc., before it cools off again here. Other vegetables (like celery) are wrapped up like you find in the grocery. They clearly haven't come straight from the farm, which may dispel the farm stand look a bit, but I actually find it a helpful convenience. It's VERY nice when I'm coming in with a recipe in mind, and I DON'T have to go navigate Winn-Dixie or Publix for that one last thing I need. Currie Brothers almost always has a supply of local honey available as well. This is a nice stop overall. You can get your veggies and fruit at Currie Brothers, pick up some fresh seafood from Kyle's Seafood next door, and if you're lucky to be there on a day they're open, grab some fresh baked bread from the bakery next door.

People die in eating bad oysters it's not a joke to sell it. For a butcher it's important that you serve the best particular for your high prices. I do not recommend this place. After a few samples I decided to purchase a few things. I have been trying to find a Yellow Watermelon for sometime and I finally got one and it did not disappoint. I also grabbed some colored bell peppers some super sweet juicy peaches and a few plum. I didnt think it would be what it was but I was pleased with the market and all the friendly vendors. They have quite a bit of local produce but things not produced in the region or out of season are shipped in from elsewhere, just like any other grocery. The citrus, peppers, squash, and potatoes selection was especially good (in early Decemeber) and they have local cane syrup (from two different producers!), honey, and jams, jellies, and more. Of course, also fresh eggs and Nettles' sausage, as well. Supposedly when it's watermelon season this is THE place to come for your watermelon!

Too often the fruits and vegetables I buy go off soon after I've bought them. More troubling is how often they've already gone off by the time I get them. So far instacart, who does my shopping, has been decent about refunding those items, as long as I take photos to prove I'm not making this up. But I'm beginning to resent how often I need to call them on this.
