Shortly after, my DoorDasher called me -- apparently, the owner of the restaurant contacted DoorDash to cancel my order, saying they didn't want me ordering from their restaurant. I've never ordered from this place before -- ever. My order was never officially canceled on DoorDash, so I had to go through customer support just to get a refund. Server was very kind and helped me navigate the menu, the restaurant itself was nicely decorated and the atmosphere was pleasant. While visiting in Lansing a couple of weeks ago, a friend suggested to try this restaurant, as I had inquired about Cuban food before. And I am so happy that I took the advice, because man was this food delicious! I ordered carry-out, the Arroz con Pollo dish (Chicken, Yellow Rice and Plantains) and Beef Empanadas. My husband and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon because the ratings looked good and we like to try new places wherever we are. Finding ourselves near downtown Lansing we spotted an opportunity. I fell in love with Cuban food this summer while I was in Miami. I love the culture and I love the food. I was so excited to discover that there is a Cuban restaurant in Lansing. It's located downtown, near the Michigan State Capitol. It's kind of a hole-in-the-wall sort of feel, which I love. The staff was so friendly and accommodating.
