    Chicken Taco Salad
    Dee W.

This was fine. The chicken didn't have a lot of flavor. The tamale had a little flavor and they texture was great. Menu says they have guacamole and cheese dip but they didn't today. Because the tamale was good, I would try this again.

Half eaten and still bigger than my head! The smothered wet burrito is great! Eat here
    Seriously D.

This place is great. I tried the wet burrito that they feature prominently on their wall. It is gigantic and delicious oozing with delicious beef and creama smothered in the or enchilada sauce and cheese... Did I mention it was bigger than my head?! Delicious and huge!

The food was awesome; the only bad thing is that I ate too much! The chicken and beef enchiladas were great; even the salsa was great.

Excellent old school Mexican. Had combo enchilada lunch. Also loved the salsa no sour cream but that's a gringo thing

Oh we tried the enchiladas too, that was pretty good and I usually never like burritos or enchiladas, but this was tasty.

I just walked up and ordered a million grape leave, a kibbee football, hummus, tabouli and falafel. The highlights for me were the grape leaves, tabouli and little kibbee football. I wish I would have gotten two! Everything was fresh and filling. I didn't love the falafel. A bit too much cumin for me. Can't wait for another return visit.

The restaurant was warm and inviting. Very clean. Outdoor area has large picnic tables with an overhang in case it is raining or you want to be in the shade. This new location has been open for 1 month everything ran extremely well. We had a hard time deciding as we all love Mediterranean food! They helped us put together a perfect platter which included grilled lamb and beef kabobs as well as kefta - ground beef or lamb with added parsely and spices. All served over rice and fine noodles with sautéd vegetables peppers (not spicy at all), carrots and squash. It was delicious! We were surprised when our meal came with hummus and warm pita bread topped with olive oil. We also ordered large Greek salad which was dressed with plenty of olives and feta cheese. Oh also ordered the best ever rolled grape leaves with lamb and rice. We had to have the baklava as well we tried both the ground pistachio filling as well as the walnuts. We had plenty of food! Bassema, one of the employees, sat with us as we ate dinner and we had a delightful visit! Such a kind woman! We had a great experience and dinner was hands down delicious. We had not been to this new location of Saltans but had been to their location in east Lansing years ago. Authentic Mediterranean food with generous portions. Expect the best at this new location! Thank you Saltan's for a great ending to our roadtrip!

Came on a Wednesday and it was packed but the wait went pretty quick. Inside has beautiful artwork on the walls that can be purchased. To get us started we ordered a cup of seafood chowder, cup of chicken noodle, and yes bread pudding as an appetizer, lol. The soups were great. But that bread pudding was phenomenal and the star of the show.I highly recommend it. As our main entre we ordered the wet burrito, pastrami, build your omelette with mushrooms, tomatoes, and green onions. Everything was delicious. A special thank you to our server Kecia.

Our party of four were served the food in phases rather than everyone's plate coming at once. I'd consider the service slow since we waited a bit 10 minutes (?) to order. Had the seafood soup which was fine but the bread I asked to be served with it was cold, dry slices of a French baguette. The salad someone else from our party ordered had a nice serving of beef on it and looked tasty. The beef stroganoff another person ordered was overly seasoned to me as I was given a taste and beef wasn't very tender. Overall food is fine. Place is nice with some outside seating.

DATE & TIME OF VISIT: April 2026. They were not too busy (there was no wait line)…read more CLEANLINESS: Unfortunately the last few times we have come the cleanliness has been lacking. Floors everywhere were extremely dirty, bathrooms dirty, and when I peaked inside the kitchen (while walking by) so filthy (to be honest, we considered leaving before even ordering anything!). HOSTESS & SERVER: The hostesses were fine, not rude but not friendly either. Our server (male with dark hair) was very nice, he at times gave off a vibe of being new. The service is still very SLOW, so plan to be sitting awhile waiting to order, get food, etc. FOOD: This is what we ordered.... Cheddars Trio Sampler -- 3 Choices were: Chicken Tenders, Wisconsin Cheese Bites, and Queso Fries. Taste: Chicken tenders were good, cheese bites were very good (greasy though), queso fries were alright. Size: average. Price: $12.49 Cheddars Trio Sampler -- 3 Choices were: Chicken Tenders, Chips & Queso w/meat, and Queso Fries. Taste: Chicken tenders were good, chips were good, queso with meat was fine, queso fries were alright. Size: average. Price: $12.49 Monte Cristo -- Taste: it was alright but found it was too sweet and got sickening to eat after the first piece. Size: average. Price: $11.99 Baby Back Ribs -- Taste: very dry. Overall flavor was alright but we had a hard time getting past how dry and tough they were. Greens beans were not very good. Mashed potatoes were good. Size: average. Price: $16.49 OVERALL THOUGHTS: Server was very kind but service in general is slow. Cleanliness has definitely been lacking and I honestly would hate to see what happens in the kitchen!! WOULD I RETURN? Probably not, mostly due to the state of cleanliness the whole establishment was in.

The place is conveniently located on Saginaw HWY along with a lot of other eateries. There is lots of parking. The restaurant has some mileage to it as it is a bit dated, but I liked it. We enjoyed the big booths and large table. Lucky it was large because we ordered more than a few things. To start, we ordered the onion rings and the fried cheese for our appetizers. They were both quite good, but my favorite was the onion rings fried to perfection. Light and crunchy and just a great bite. We also ordered what Cheddars calls the painkiller. It is a large tasty drink that is sort of a combination of a piña colada Meets a Mai Thai. The meals included the Key West chicken and it comes with rice and two sides. It has a kick to it and it's really flavorful and tender. We also ordered the sirloin and the hand breaded chicken tenders. Both were quite delicious and I love the crunch on the chicken tenders. The sides were also really nice and they included the sweet carrots and the broccoli cheese casserole along with crispy fries. This was quite a meal and it filled us up in a very happy way. We ate up and we left very happy and full with the idea of returning here soon. I don't live around here but when I visit this area, I will definitely stop here again.
