This is the dumb MENU LACKS description and photos The staff has to describe every single item. Imagine that

I was here years ago, then it was closed for a while! I was ecstatic when I came to find out it reopened... The vibes is the same. I haven't tried all the food, but what I have tried I've really enjoyed with the exception of today which is why I only gave it 4 stars. There's plenty of room for improvement, for starters the menu. If you've never been here imagine only the name of the plate with NO description, NO photos. Imagine trying to remember it all as you ask about any or all of them. It's frustrating. I will attach photos and reviews What I didn't like was the empapelado. It was basically seafood steamed in foil packet with melted cheese! It lacked seasoning and flavor! The tortillas they served with it were nasty textured and flavored.

Decent restaurant with good seafood. The servings were well portioned. We actually finished all our food. The ceviche had a great balance of citrus! I usually have to order extra limes on the side to add more of the citrus flavor, but didn't need to with their food! The service was good enough for a big party, but nothing amazing. They were a bit busy so I didn't expect perfect service. The ceviche mix had good portions of all the ingredients and even the shrimps were a good medium size. All prices were $18 and above. Only thing I disliked was they ONLY serve drinks in bottles. Water, sodas, even your agua frescas are all served in water bottled-type of containers. The horchata was too sweet for my taste. The agua de Jamaica (hibiscus) was ok. Just make sure to double check your check. Street parking. Overall, decent place. Try it for yourself and then decide.

The food is delicious. We ordered a platter I think it's called 30/30 it was $60. No complaints on that. NY mother in law got Mojarra( fried fish. That she loved as well. Th service sucked again. The first rime we went there the waitress left. This time, the waitress aren't smiling, just dropping stuff the food, just rude.I always make sure my husband tips we'll, this time I didn't care. I felt like I was chasing them down.

This place has some of the best seafood dishes in town. Every item I've ordered has been delicious . From their tostadas, aguachiles, ostiones preparados, chalupas!!!! Anything you order is a hit. Seafood is fresh and now their staffs are up to par too. All the staffs are attentive and quick to provide service. Will definitely be back again and again!!!

    Vein of poop

The vibe is good and the seafood is fresh, but they don't clean the shrimp. Every one still had the black strip (poop vein) inside. For a mariscos spot, that's a basic fail. Hard to enjoy the food after noticing that. El lugar tiene buen ambiente y mariscos frescos, pero no limpian los camarones. Todos tenían la vena negra (el intestino) todavía. En un lugar de mariscos, eso es imperdonable. Difícil disfrutar la comida así.

The seafood is incredibly fresh. We especially love the oysters, shrimp cocktail and ceviche. The service has greatly improved since the restaurant's reopening, making the experience even better. It's easily one of the best seafood spots in Southern California.

Let me say the snails were a highlight. Surprisingly tender and flavorful. Sometimes, snails can have a livery / dirt / bitter flavor, but not these. And we were lucky rice wasn't on the table, because we would have stuffed ourselves eating rice with that wonderful sauce. Next comes the boil itself. My wife insisted on "no-spice" (ugh). But I got a side of the house sauce with med-spice. Let me tell you. That sauce. Again, good thing no rice on the table, because I'm already drowning everything in that sauce. Esp the garlic bread. The seafood was fine. You're not at the pier / Hawaiian beach / HK wet market fresh off the boat & straight into your mouth scenario. But fine. We're planning to be there again tomorrow. BTW, that boy scout selling popcorn a few years ago? He made it. He's now an Eagle Scout. Thanks again for the icy refreshing drinks on a hot day.

Our usual order is 1lb of shrimp and 1lb of mussels, and we've always been happy with it. This time, we decided to try the Combo #2 because we wanted to add crab legs. We ordered three combo bags, each with shrimp, mussels, and crab legs. Unfortunately, it didn't feel like there was anywhere close to 1lb each of shrimp and mussels in the bags. I can't prove it, so I can only share our experience, but it honestly felt like there were fewer than 15 shrimp in the bag. For the first time ever, we finished our meal and were still hungry afterward. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend ordering the combo bag. Not only did it seem like there was significantly less food, but with all the ingredients piled together, some items ended up overcooked. We were really disappointed because we've had consistently good experiences with multiple locations here over the years. Hopefully this was just an off day, but we'll be sticking with ordering the seafood separately next time.

I arrived at Seafood Ranch Grill (Chino Hills) on Saturday (around 9:45AM). Parking is easy. There's a wide private parking lot. Seafood Ranch Grill (Chino Hills) includes an area to purchase prepackaged snacks (like a convenience store) and a counter (with sizzling food on hot trays). The ordering process is fast since customers just point at precooked items - similar to Panda Express. Staff is cordial and friendly. An elderly staff member would place the selected food in a container. Cashier (receipt says Maricar) is also hardworking and professional. Staff speaks Tagalog and English. Despite the long line of customers, the process flowed quickly. The food is fairly good. The Breakfast One Item Meal - Longanisa ($11.99) comes with Garlic Fried Rice and Fried Egg. The three big Longanisa (aka: Sausage) came very plump, juicy, and wet. The Fried Egg tasted clean & fresh. Unfortunately, I hated the Garlic Fried Rice. It tasted dry, coarse, and chewy. That rice was left out for too long. Concerning the Palabok (16oz - $14.99), this dish came flavorful but very cold. Regardless, I enjoyed its wet and zesty sauce. I liked how its noodles felt soft and moist. And I enjoyed the powdered Chicharon (aka: crushed deep fried pork) which added a comforting, crisp texture. The shrimps had a nice chew, but they tasted somewhat rubbery. Concerning ambiance, Seafood Ranch Grill (Chino Hills) is surprisingly enchanting. I appreciated the dining area's floral decorations & glittering lights. The location is also relatively clean. Some tables had small bits of crumbs, but the floors were very well-swept. There's even an outside sink for cleanliness near the dining room. Unfortunately, the restroom is out-of-order. Still, I appreciated how the interior felt airy and well-ventilated. Overall, I had a good experience at Seafood Ranch Grill (Chino Hills). Although some options didn't taste the freshest, the food captured some enjoyable flavors & textures. It's a "not-bad" location. 4.3 out of 5
