La Cocina has fabulous Mexican food! The vibe is contemporary and clean and service is great! Ambience is Mexican-style tasteful. I ordered a Carnitas quesadilla and a chicken quesadilla. Both were very generous in their proportions and sides. Even the chips were excellent! Decent parking available. Bonus: there's a Starbucks next-door.

Got here at 9:30am and there were already 4-5 big tables having margaritas and beer. Well, then I will join too! Joanna was our server, and she was awesome. She and her counterparts were very attention. If I just glanced their way for a second, one of them would come over to ask if I needed anything. Food is really good, reasonably priced and good fresh quality. Parking looked easy, although we walked over from a nearby hotel. I think I had a mango or peach margarita, and it was GOOD. Would definitely come back again.

As close to authentic as you can get. The service was great. They were playing nice music. The food was delicious. The horchata water was also delicious (not made from concentrate), no photo of it, but it was yummy. My companion ordered an assortment of tacos (it was taco Tuesday) chicken, asada and al pastor. I got two asada tacos and two al pastor with everything. They were a lot more spicy than I am used to, but the flavor was incredible! I would definitely stop here again, if I am ever in the area.

We were shopping and needed to dip in somewhere for a sweet treat. This place got pretty high ratings so we decided to check it out. The food all around us looked great, this dessert plate was good. Fresh ice cream with a Hershey's syrup drizzle and the churros were...good. For some reason three out of the five were hard instead of chewy. The cinnamon and sugar topping was delicious. We will try entries next time we are in the mood for authentic Mexican food. Service was friendly and prompt. It was busy that day but they were bussing tables quickly keeping the environment clean.

Another visit to my fav mexican restaurant in Ukiah. It's cute, clean and great customer service. Today carryout on a rainy later afternoon. It's Taco Tuesday and $2.50 selected tacos. They are super good. Feels like tacos in Cozumel. Love the radish and red onion and lime. Al Pastor x 2. And the kids chicken burrito is perfect size for my appetite. The to go packaging is perfect. They don't miss a beat. Utensils napkins. Chips to go. Green and Red sauces. And a special treat was a horchata ! Can't wait till my next trip as I'm trying the amazing Seafood Tower I saw served.

Service is ok. But prices are very reasonable. The food is very authentic. The Micheladas margaritas and Paloma's are super good. And the surf and turf burrito is very tasty hearty and delicious. The tacos are good as well.

I visited on a Saturday at 6pm. The place was pretty empty but they had an on-going queue of to-go orders the entire time we were there. We ordered a few tacos and a quesadilla. The chips and salsa were complimentary. The portions were big. Everything was super fresh and delicious. I really liked the quesadillas--the beef was super tender. Their fish tacos were great as well. The restaurant and restroom were very clean and the staff were super friendly and sweet. I definitely wouldn't mind stopping by again the next time I'm in the area.

Staying at the Comfort Inn and wanted dinner. (Specifically, Churros, my son wanted). Aguachile (really spicy), Chile Rellenos, kids chicken quesadilla, and kids fish tacos. Sucks that there was only one kids fish taco when it should come with two. Anyway food was delicious. Generous portions for bigger plates. Had to have drink for me and my sis. Dessert, had to have that too since my son was craving churros. Big enough to feed the four of us.

Three chicken enchiladas verde, your standard rice and beans, and pico de gallo on a bit of shredded lettuce.

SOOO GLAD I found this place. It is legit!! We ordered 2 carne asada burritos with everything to go!! So dang good!!! So authentic! The rice, The beans. The asada and everything else!! Yumm!! So good for my weary soul. The homemade flour tortillas reminded me of growing up in central California. I have been craving one ever since. This place did not disappoint! My one gripe is they only give you one side of salsa for your GINORMOUS BURRITO!! Which is probably enough for a normal Person BUT...This salsa roja is FIRE!!! Fantastic flavor with a solid kick!! Hunky hubster and I love heat so for us it was perfect and we were wanting MORE!! Hubs finished his whole burrito but I could only do 1/4 to 1/3 it was so packed full of goodness!! Everyone was helpful and friendly from the employees in the market to the servers/ cooks outside. Was great to watch them make the tortillas while you wait. 5/5 with no complaints only ravings and a deep abiding sadness that it is 8.5 hours (on a good day) away from home. We travel this way once a year to visit my Mother in Love in Brookings for her bday. I will be looking forward to next July when I can have my old school Mexican food longings fulfilled!! If you are bougie don't bother. But if you love the non fancy down to earth road side Mexican food with no flairs or fusion BS, it's definitely worth the time. $30 for 2 Carne Asada burritos LOADED WITH EVERYTHING!! Worth every penny and for me, more than enough to share! Again... if you like heat ask for extra salsa!!

The five of did make our order and had our drinks in maybe 5-7 minutes. Maybe 20-25 minutes later our food arrived and when the server gave me my burrito I was kinda depressed because my burrito wasn't very big for the price. I assumed it was going to taste amazing but was sadly mistaken. I mean it was good but for sure not worth the price. The server was awesome with the service (drinks) but honestly if I go back, I will not be getting the Carne Asada burrito.

I started with one of their house margaritas--great flavor, a solid punch, and just enough tequila to spark a pleasant buzz. For my main dish, I went with the steak taquitos... or maybe they were flautas. I usually prefer corn tortillas for taquitos, but these were still quite good. The steak was well-seasoned, and the garnishes and salsa rounded out the plate nicely. My friend ordered the sizzling trio of fajitas and asked for the veggies extra charred. Honestly, I don't blame her. The aroma of blistered peppers and onions filled the air in the best way. Service was also good but can use a little less checking in. We enjoyed the food, but even more, we enjoyed the atmosphere and each other's company.

But, hey, they have a salsa bar that doesn't look like it's cleaned out very often, so that's probably why the food was expensive. One salsa, the red salsa, was horrible. I think someone dropped some Fabuloso in it or something. The rest of the salsas were watery and terrible. They did give us chips (a little stale) to wait for the food. We waited about 20 minutes for the food to get to us, and there were only 2 people other than us in the restaurant. The torta was terrible. It had absolutely no flavor. And I'm hazarding a guess that the meat was previously prepared, then microwaved. The burrito was less better, with the red sauce tasting like someone had run out of red sauce, then added a bunch of water to make more red sauce, then drenched the burrito in it. No flavor. The coke and the jarrito were good. As an extra, my son got sick from the burrito later. So there's that. No, not coming back.
