This is a cute restaurant in Point Arena and centrally located. The waitress was friendly. The food was okay. The chips were fresh and the salsa okay. The tacos are served with 2 small street taco sized corn tortillas. I ordered one fish and one chicken. The piece of fish was about the size of your pinky finger and flat as a pancake. You couldn't taste the fish at all. It was like eating a cabbage taco. It definitely wasn't worth $4.50. The chicken taco was better. Not sure I can recommend this restaurant. Please make sure that there is enough fish on the tacos to make sure that your customers can taste it. read more

Tasted like they made them and threw in freezer taking out to fry. Lots of cheese and an okay red sauce. Order at the counter restaurant. Not. Lot of options in town. I asked the wife to stop by Point Arena Mexican to get dinner to bring home. She called the place My Mexican. All I can say is no matter the name of the place is they make some excellent Mexican food! I had the Birria Plate and it was delicious. The flavor was wonderful and the Birria was so tender and juicy. The rice and beans were also so yummy. My wife ordered the Chili Relleno Burrito that she loved. I did ask for a bite and I loved it too. I haven't actually been inside of this restaurant myself. The wife said it was small but there were a few tables inside. I'd say if you are in the area and craving some excellent Mexican food do yourself a favor and visit My Mexican. read more

Best Mexican food I had in years. We had a big group, and the server accommodates us for easy sitting for a small restaurant. We ordered Soft taco with carne asada, Birria plate, Gorditas plate with Al pastor, Quesadilla plate with carne asada, Regular burrito in mojato style and a couple side orders of rice and refried beans. I was excited to eat here since we were very hungry and it was full of customers, but it was a disappointing meal. I ordered the carnitas plate hoping for tender, savory carnitas like I have enjoyed at many an unexpected gem on my road trips, but it was simply chunks of tasteless pork, probably the same pork they use for the chile verde but without any flavor since it had no sauce. I did appreciate that they brought me chiles asados when I asked for them and they definitely helped save the meal. Rather over priced for the quality. read more

Point Arena was busy tonight! All restaurants were packed. I've eaten in this location (a Mexican restaurant in this location about a year ago) before, but I think it's under new ownership. I found a seat on my own, and then sat there for at least five minutes before I got up to find a menu. I ordered and there was some confusion about what I wanted so I had to repeat myself several times. It could have been me. I ordered two Carne Asada tacos and I wanted chips and guacamole and a drink. This place does not sell any alcoholic beverages. The chips were really really good and the salsa was OK. I remember there being a really delicious chipotle like salsa there and they did not have it this time. The tacos were not very spicy. It seemed like there was no salsa on them, but they did have lots of cilantro and onions and I think the meat I got was chicken not Carne Asada. But it was still good and I ate it right up. The place is affordable And the people who work here are nice. It feels more like a to go place. Not necessarily a good place to sit down and have dinner although they have chairs, the ambience is not great. I think for a quick burrito or tacos it would be just fine. read more

We live in Irish Beach we had seen an early movie show and afterwards thought about grabbing quick bite to eat so we went here to give the place a try. We were not disappointed we had ordered shredded beef flautas and chili replenish entrees afterwards .... I noticed plate what looked like short ribs but were not on the menu. Surprised shortly after 10 minutes later she showed up with small plate for us to taste. Best mexican food in northern California. All of it was good, the pork and the steak. Seemed like homemade chips that need a little bit of salt, but mixed with that perfect salsa, who could complain. The Nachos will hit the spot and the Carnitas plate hit all around. The beans were good and the veggies were there. The rice was a little weak even though i liked it. The meat was a bit greasy so beware, it was high quality grease so i just wanted to chew on that stuff for a while. My meal made the perfect late night snack. read more
