Super pastor with green and asada with red wet burrito
    Sarrah P.

Went for a quick lunch hour. Such authentic decor inside, complete with music to match. I ordered a half pastor and green sauce/half asada and red sauce super wet burrito. Got a huge horchata to chase the heat from hopefully spicy salsa and chips. The employees were so super nice, the service was fast, and my plate looked so gorgeous with the half and half sauces and crema that my cohorts even wanted a photo of my plate!

ZERO STARS!! NASTY , COLD AND OLD .. when I said something to the waitress commented that every one loves their food.

Food is amazing. Drove from Eureka, CA for an appt. Best Mexican food I've had in a while!!! Service was great. I will start coming here if I come back to Ukiah!! 10/10

We were in a hurry on the 101: this restaurant fit what we needed - fast service, tasty tacos, easy outdoor seating on the patio. Only tried the tacos.

Great atmosphere. Came to Ukiah and stopped here to eat. Spacious inside, food was perfect. Reasonably priced. Staff was nice, got our food within ten minuets. We came in on a weekday around 11:30 am. They do accept Apple Pay but you are not able to tip if you choose to use it, so you will need cash.

    Chilequles with carnitas.

Cut up some corn tortillas, fry them up in a red sauce and your telling me this is good? Chilaquiles!!!! I now have a new comfort food favorite and you can find it here in my home town of Ukiah. I've been a regular here for past couple of years and there isn't one particular dish that I can say is the absolute best. There are so many Mexican classic entrees here that will continue to lure me. This past Saturday, it was the Chilaquiles, served with tender, juicy carnitas, fresh onion, green peppers and topped with crema and placed alongside a healthy serving re-fried beans and salsa fresca. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. And this is just the beginning of the meal choices you will find here. The carne asada and fries are truly a work of art along with the fresh hand made tamales. I promise you will not go wrong with anything on the menu. Without question, Taqueria Jalos is just as good as anything you will find in the Mission. A warm welcoming and festive (albeit a little noisy) atmosphere is an added bonus.

SOOO GLAD I found this place. It is legit!! We ordered 2 carne asada burritos with everything to go!! So dang good!!! So authentic! The rice, The beans. The asada and everything else!! Yumm!! So good for my weary soul. The homemade flour tortillas reminded me of growing up in central California. I have been craving one ever since. This place did not disappoint! My one gripe is they only give you one side of salsa for your GINORMOUS BURRITO!! Which is probably enough for a normal Person BUT...This salsa roja is FIRE!!! Fantastic flavor with a solid kick!! Hunky hubster and I love heat so for us it was perfect and we were wanting MORE!! Hubs finished his whole burrito but I could only do 1/4 to 1/3 it was so packed full of goodness!! Everyone was helpful and friendly from the employees in the market to the servers/ cooks outside. Was great to watch them make the tortillas while you wait. 5/5 with no complaints only ravings and a deep abiding sadness that it is 8.5 hours (on a good day) away from home. We travel this way once a year to visit my Mother in Love in Brookings for her bday. I will be looking forward to next July when I can have my old school Mexican food longings fulfilled!! If you are bougie don't bother. But if you love the non fancy down to earth road side Mexican food with no flairs or fusion BS, it's definitely worth the time. $30 for 2 Carne Asada burritos LOADED WITH EVERYTHING!! Worth every penny and for me, more than enough to share! Again... if you like heat ask for extra salsa!!

I started with one of their house margaritas--great flavor, a solid punch, and just enough tequila to spark a pleasant buzz. For my main dish, I went with the steak taquitos... or maybe they were flautas. I usually prefer corn tortillas for taquitos, but these were still quite good. The steak was well-seasoned, and the garnishes and salsa rounded out the plate nicely. My friend ordered the sizzling trio of fajitas and asked for the veggies extra charred. Honestly, I don't blame her. The aroma of blistered peppers and onions filled the air in the best way. Service was also good but can use a little less checking in. But, hey, they have a salsa bar that doesn't look like it's cleaned out very often, so that's probably why the food was expensive. One salsa, the red salsa, was horrible. I think someone dropped some Fabuloso in it or something. The rest of the salsas were watery and terrible. They did give us chips (a little stale) to wait for the food. We waited about 20 minutes for the food to get to us, and there were only 2 people other than us in the restaurant. The torta was terrible. It had absolutely no flavor. And I'm hazarding a guess that the meat was previously prepared, then microwaved. The burrito was less better, with the red sauce tasting like someone had run out of red sauce, then added a bunch of water to make more red sauce, then drenched the burrito in it. No flavor. The coke and the jarrito were good. As an extra, my son got sick from the burrito later. So there's that. No, not coming back.
