It's pretty yummy. I like the sopes for $3 you can eat one and be satisfied. The burrito was good we got the other night and their hot sauce is not that hot but it has a good roasted pepper flavor to it. I've seen this shop a few times and have been pretty curious about trying the pupusas because we really haven't found a good places to get pupusas since we left Vegas. The pupusas were good to my surprise. I had the pork and cheese pupusas. I believe they were made to order, which was a little slow, but they are handmade. The service was good, the location is fair, and the actual establishment was okay. The only thing that bothered me was the little gnats that kept bother us while we waited. This is my go-to when I want Salvi comfort food! For real the flavors and smells bring me back to El Salvador every timeespecially their bombass pupusas and the fried platanos. Only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is I wish the platanos and other non-meat items came with a larger portion of beans, though, especially for the price. Like they give maybe half a cup of beans, which, with only one medium plantain, feels low-key stingy at 8 bucks. Still the best Salvi place in town so it's worth it read more

I've seen really good reviews about this place and was excited cause i saw that they sell Pupusas. But when we entered the lady was rude and sounded like she didn't want to help us. The tacos were very dry and nachos were watery. The chips were so soggy from the water at the bottom of the plate and we had to wait really long for our food to be done. Good pupusas, tacos are bit expensive. Caldo de Res was good with homemade corn tortillas. Pupusas at Pupuseria Y Taqueria Mercy are cheaper and just as good, but La Costa Del Sol is in a better area and has better seating. This is better for families and groups. Service was good. 5 stars for friendliness. They can get a bit busy and the wait for food can be pretty long. Food is okay. I can't agree with the people who think they have the best pupusas, far from it. The only thing I can say u really enjoy there is there shrimp tacos and shrimp nachos. My daughter likes the asada tacos, nothing special though. After reading all the great reviews I decided to go to this place. I came to this restaurant for the Salvadorean food. The service was great however, the food was terrible my scrambled eggs were dry and burned the platanos were not ripe they were hard and dry. The casamiento had beans that were hard and not edible. I ordered empanadas de frijoles all were burned. The only thing that was edible was the sopa de res. This order was take out. I spent a total of $ 50.00 on food most of which I threw away. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to eat Salvadorean food. :( read more

I love this little place. Very, very friendly service and the food was good even if not great. I even enjoy the presentation on the plate. That being said, I found it to be slightly bland. I don't usually add salt, especially to this type of food, but the beans were lacking a little flavor, as was the rice. The carnitas pupusa was excellent! And since my old chile rellano place closed, this is going to be the replacement. My rellano was loaded with cheese and flavor. One suggestion though. The hot sauce could be spicier! read more

Delicious Piping Hot Pupusas!!! Mmm I'm salivating just thinking about it. I had 2 revuelta and 2 zucchini and I ate every last bite, even though it was a bit much. PUPUSAS!!! yay finally don't have to drive to get one of my favorite foods. It's a little hole in the wall, family owned and I just like going there! The staff is very friendly and they have a larger selection of beer. The prices are very reasonable. Absolutely the worst Mexican experience EVER! I had one carne asada taco. On the second bite something very hard, not grissle more like bone, almost broke my tooth. Actually this taco meat may have fractured my tooth. I did not want to risk anymore damage to my teeth by taking another bite of this 3/4 of taco so I took it back to the manager. Wow, this guy is nuts. Not only did mock me by saying I should visit a hospital with his broken English, but had no interest in making it right. In the end, he very reluctantly gave back half the money and a tremendous amount of insult. I've been here several times already and only go there to eat the Mexican soups. I love their Menudo, Pezole, and Caldo Del Rei! I love Mexican soups and when most other Mexican restaurants only serve Menudo and Pezole on weekends, this restaurant serves these soups everyday! This is one of my favorite local restaurants! I woke up today craving pupusas and platanos. I decided to give Los Gallitos one more try. Well low and behold they are no longer around and La Costa Del Sol has taken its place. I went with a cheese pupusa and a revuelta, both were very good, lots of cheese in them. the platano order was perfectly ripe and the beans super yummy. I washed it all down with a strawberry agua fresca. This place was hopping too for a Friday afternoon. The only negative is the $.50 cent charge for using your check card. I will be back again, the new menu is extensive and has lots of homeland specialties. read more
