We so enjoyed Sunday brunch at Tavola Trattoria. What a nice variety in the menu and, because we…read morewere there at the 10am opening, the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. Even though there were not many guests, it seemed as if the restaurant wasn't fully staffed. We lucked out and had Sydney S. as our server and she was top class. Sydney was so patient with our group of six and carefully described each item on the menu. Her service was so nicely paced and done with a sincere smile. This will be our go-to for brunch and will surely be for their full Italian menu.

I'd have loved to try my favorite entree, fried eggplant, but was informed they share fryers with shellfish and I have an allergy. I appreciated the waitress asking about food allergies, but did NOT appreciate her eye roll She suggested a steak, but after the eye roll, I didn't dare tell her I'm being treated for alpha-gal syndrome. Since I didn't have many choices with vegetarian food options, I had two cocktails with my soup. My husband, who did not drink was driving so why not? Upon me ordering my second drink, the waitress had the audacity to ask if I was driving. I am a geriatric woman on vacation. I will have two adult beverages if I so please. My kids loved the pizza and steak, although they thought the steak was a little rubbery. They loved the squash, potatoes, and their calamari. Also, the dessert and lemonades were amazing!

Had an amazing date night at Preacher's Son. Service was incredible!! We loved our server (Natalie…read moreI think?) and the drinks were strong and delicious. I loved the interior and how it was decorated. The grilled cheese was the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Definitely wouldn't be enough if there were more than 2 people at the table though. The pork porterhouse was good, the butter on top really gave the meat its flavor. The pasta was amazing. Great portion sizes for both. Overall: amazing classy dinner spot in NWA, would definitely come back!

The entrance is a bit hidden, as you'll need to walk up a set of stairs to reach the entrance. When you arrive you'll check in with the host before being seated. While there were a few open tables, we were seated tightly in between two groups despite the restaurant being partially full, which definitely took away from the experience. The environment is one of the restaurant's highlights. It is housed in a beautiful restored church. For drinks I ordered the Blood Orange Buck (bourbon, spiced maple, blood orange cider, mint, citrus) which was a well balanced and a fun take on an old fashioned. To start we shared the Burrata (grilled flatbread, green goddess, roasted garlic). While the flavors were good, the portion was surprisingly small and felt underwhelming for the price. For my entree, I ordered a pasta carbonara dish which had good flavor but again the portion size was small like the appetizer. Overall, the quality of food and presentation were strong, and the setting is worth seeing (would lean more towards drinks). However, between the small portions and the seating arrangement, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. While I'm glad I tried it, I don't see myself returning.

So many great flavors but not over done. We had the spicy Joe pizza. Fantastic crust and ingredients. We would absolutely order it again. Loved the look of the restaurant and atmosphere. They were busy on a Wednesday evening, very popular place near the square, so I recommend reservations if coming during busy dinner hour. Overall, a 4.0+ for me, excellent food, friendly and attentive service and comfortable (had plenty of space) atmosphere and fun eatery, good place to take a group! Expect cost to be ~$10-20pp. My #1 item of the night was their Fried Mozz; freshly made and fried mozzarella balls served with warm marinara sauce - so tasty and plenty to share, but I could've eaten a plate by myself! Second, their wood-fired Edamame were excellent and tasty. I'm used to getting steamed edamame with salt, but these were wonderful with rosemary, lemon and sea salt! And third favorite were the house-made meatballs, served in a flavorful red sauce with parmesan and sourdough toast (a little overdone in my opinion). We also tried the Salt and Vinegar potatoes, very good and crunchy outside with a soft center. I was already so full of other apps but it was worth a try, although lots of choices if you don't prefer a potato item. Best news, I had a great experience and will want to return to try their well known PIZZAS...next time! Enjoy!!!
