    Chateaubriand Shitake Pasta

This place is so charming! Great for a quiet, cozy nice dinner for a date night. It's fairly small and we loved the atmosphere and the friendly staff had us well taken care of. The same gentleman who greeted us was our server and from what I could tell very efficiently and kindly took care of the restaurant's patrons this particular evening. I went with the Chateaubriand Shitake Pasta. Quite tasty! I am a bleu cheese lover but my one critique is that I don't think the flavor goes great with the otherwise wonderful ingredients to this dish. We had a truly great experience here and I'd love to come back and try more of their menu.

The name is the disclaimer. The ambiance is dark, small, but clean. Some in our group had trouble reading the menu due to lighting. Service was top notch and friendly. The food was delicious but small portions. You will walk out with at least a $60 bill and still be hungry. If you eat small, this could be a nice place for you.

Definitely do not come here if you don't have patience. Salmon was amazing, but service is extremely slow, even on a Monday night. Only 2 people running the place, and as another review states, we did feel ignored by the waiters as well. We waited 10 minutes after being seated just for our drink orders and 20 minutes at the end just to get our bill, another 10 minutes to bring the card back. Very small place, 49 max occupants, so it can get very loud. Only non alcoholic beverages are Coke, Coke Zero, and Sprite. Not sure the price was worth the meal.

I've wanted to try this place for so long and finally found the perfect cold, rainy night to stop by! This quaint bistro is super tucked away. If you're not paying attention, you'll drive right by the entrance. Parking was a little hard, but inside you'll find all the cozy vibes you're looking for! Multiple team members served our table and were super personable. Unfortunately with multiple servers, some of our menu items and requests were overlooked or were not communicated to the kitchen, HOWEVER the staff quickly rectified that. The grilled Brie and crab cakes were standout appetizers and the sea bass was our favorite entree. Portion sizes were perfect as well. The staff was patient and attentive as we were the last table to finish up our meal. Overall, our experience was a 8.8/10 and we cannot wait to return and try more menu items!

Chicken Pesto Pasta & lamb shank

Such a cozy restaurant for a fall date night. We ordered the crab cakes, chicken pesto, & lamb shank. The lamb shank was definitely our favorite and we would come again just for it!

Well done and very thin filet that was requested medium.

Service was excellent. Wonderful ambiance. I tipped very well. At 5:00, the restaurant was empty. We had reservations. Filet was not worth 42 dollars; ordered medium, came to the table well done. It was very small, it appeared cut in half laterally from a full filet. The side of potatoes was akin to dehydrated boxed mashed potatoes. You can compare my photos with the photos of their filet dish. Very different. Probably won't return just due to the quality of the food.

10/17/22 We couldn't decide where to go for dinner and I found this little gem on Open Table. Was able to make reservations easily. Jason was our bartender and server and he was amazing. Started off with a blueberry martini with grey goose (delicious) - and my work boss ordered a grey goose and soda We also ordered the pan seared tuna tower was smaller than we thought but delicious! Just wished there was more pieces. It had 3 pieces on a nicely decorated plate. Filet mignon was seasoned perfectly. We both ordered it and I cleaned my plate! Yummm! Jason gave us a side of green peppercorn sauce and it was delicious with the steak. We ordered for dessert the poached pear with truffles. The pear came out cold which was unexpected so this fell short to how we could have finished. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town. Thanks Jason for everything!

Pretty good, but really noisy and overpriced. If you have hearing loss, I would recommend going elsewhere. No quiet seat in the house.

Course 2: Butternut squash soup with crème fraiche and melon seed dust - because regular butternut squash soup is just too basic for us. ‍. And the melon dust was quiet the topic of conversation . Apparently it killed a coffee grinder but the table next to us was obsessed with it.... The irony of the first course is I always associate persimmons with Autumn but they were perfect in the arugula salad. I feel guilty about my seafood allergy usually requiring at least one substitution but what I was treated to instead of the octopus (which everyone else raved about) was the pistachio crusted lamb lollipops from the restaurant's main menu. Lamb, and green... what better expression of Spring? I would say that was the best lamb I have ever been served but it only displaced the last time I had it at Worman. The tortellini and striploin were scrumptious as well but the dessert tonight was over the top. Several of us commented that we'd never be satisfied with plain ol' strawberry shortcake again. I've tried myself to put an Italian spin on this summertime staple before by macerating the sliced, sweetened berries in balsamic then whipping flecks of minced basil into the cream. Like a caprese salad, the resulting green, white, and red are an homage to their flag. But the inclusion of limoncello was absolutely inspired! Service, as always, was in a league all its own. But I was especially aware this dinner of the artistry of whatever small army of platers there must be hidden back in the kitchen. Whether it's a more intimate wine dinner in the library or we take over the restaurant proper like at Celebration of Tastes, every course comes out looking as consistently beautiful up and down the table. Growing up in a family of 4 kids, Food FOMO was a real thing. My poor mother had to keep track of whose turn it was to get the coveted dab of bacon in a can of pork & beans or sliver of cherry in fruit cocktail. No one leaves Worman House feeling shortchanged.

This spot has the best reviews of anywhere connected to Big Cedar, and it's easy to see why. The atmosphere, situated overlooking the lake in a former railroad magnate's summer home, is top tier. You can imagine the parties thrown here in the 1920's. The ambiance adds so much, but the food was stellar as well. The bread service included some kind of cheddar cheese bread (I think?) that was delicious. I ordered a classic ceasar salad that was very good, and the bison tenderloin which was absolutely the right call for what I was after. It was perfectly cooked (I went medium), over rosemary whipped potatoes with broccolini. It was so flavorful, and so filling in a good way too. No frou-frou sized portions here. Service was wonderful, as we lingered and drank wine, then capped our meal off with an apple strudel, topped with vanilla ice cream. The whole space was so cool, including the cocktail bar downstairs, which is must-visit in my opinion. A highly memorable date night, and world's better than all the other restaurants around!
