Schmuel advised us on the best keyless deadbolt options for our situation. We ordered the hardware online. As soon as it arrived, he came out and did a beautiful job installing the new deadbolts on three entry doors. While he worked, he improved the alignment of one door that wasn't closing perfectly because of the weatherstripping. The front door was missing the correct hardware for the place where the deadbolt extends, so he added that. One door was thicker than normal, but no problem! He had an extender kit in his van. I've had trouble with my doorknob since it was installed 2 years ago, and had two other professionals look at it. The last guy quoted me $400 to fix it. Sam was confident he could fix it after I sent the original install diagrams and told him I had a full set of replacement parts. Sure enough, he came and reinstalled the knob and helped me to isolate the issue to get the new parts covered under warranty. He also re-keyed another door quickly. Requested a quote off yelp, Sam responded quickly and gave me quote whereas other businesses I contacted required an on site estimate. Scheduled a date and Sam gave a 2hr time frame and said his technician will contact 40 to 50 min prior. On the date Gilli, the technician, sure enough contacted me 40 min before arrival. I really appreciated them calling and arriving on time. Gilli was very patient and explained the best options for us, since we have a vintage lock that we thought we may have to replace. He was able to rekey it and also shave of some of the metal plate so the lock works smoothly. We had to install a two dead bolt and rekey two other locks. He made sure to show us that the previous lock on one door did not have ea standard hole. So he had to cut and charge the drilling/install fee. I appreciated that so we know why each charge is. All in all we had a great experience and really appreciate how honest,and responsive this business and it's associate are. Something that is hard to find these days. read more

The job: rekey 4 locks, install Yale Nest smart lock, missing key to 3 other locks (2 kwikset, 2 French door locks) COVID19: Sam wore a mask the entire time as he installed and rekey the doors. Overall impression: Sam was very friendly and had a challenging job of installing my Nest lock because the previous lock was poorly installed (misaligned holes, screws were stripped). He was also able to quickly fabricate new keys for my french doors without any issues. I had Sam create 4 sets of keys for each set of doors (8 keys total). He tested each key until they were able to open the door with ease. This dedication is rarely seen these days. Finally, I asked him about installing a lock to my fence gate and he told me it wasn't worth the money since the fence lock could easily be undermined by someone breaking through the fence or from scaling the fence. Once again, Sam's honesty was a refreshing surprise. Then again, I guess anyone should have known that having a fence or wall is more for aesthetic purposes than actual protection. read more

Sam is the real deal old school lock pro. Messaged him through yelp on a Saturday at 930 after a break in to do a rekey. He called within 10 minutes or so and said he would be there in less than an hour. 50 minutes later he was in front of the house... at 10:20... on a SATURDAY NIGHT! No extra charge for showing up at that hour, just a flat $75 to change out the lock. Another $15 bucks got me 5 new keys. He also smoothed out the lock function and 20 minutes later he was gone, our peace of mind restored. There's really no reason to bother with anyone else.
