Came here for the brewery and ended up ordering a pizza too! This spot is in the very back of the Whittier Brewing Co's food hall as a small stall, conveniently located right next to the bar. The menu isn't huge, but it offers a good mix of classics with enough variety to choose from. We visited on a Saturday around 9:15 pm. There wasn't a line when we ordered, but the food hall was still busy and crowded. We were told there would be a bit of a wait, which made sense once I noticed several tables still waiting with their order numbers out. Our pizza ended up taking about 45 minutes to arrive at our table. For the hefty price (almost $30), I was surprised by the size. It's more of a personal, six-slice pizza rather than something easily shareable. We ordered the Godfather, their take on a meat lovers pizza. Despite the wait and portion size, the quality was solid. The wood-fired crust had a nice crisp with a slight chew, and the toppings tasted fresh and well-balanced without clashing and being overly greasy. The pizza tastes how you'd expect it to taste, though not particularly memorable or extraordinary. Overall, it's a decent option if you're already in the food hall and want something to pair with your beer. Just keep in mind the longer wait times and smaller portions. If you're with a group, you'll likely need to order more than one.
This is the kind of local pizza joint that I wish was more local to me. The garlic pie with sausage was pretty damn good. And while wood-fired isn't my favorite style of pie--that would be New Haven--it does have many of the qualities I do like. That medium thick crust that is firm, but not floppy is a like. The just thick enough sauce is a like. And that good smattering of sausage and garlic hit the spot between skimpy and indulgent. I like the service too. It is in a food hall with good vibes, ample seating, and noticeable energy. I thought that would add up to them being super busy and slow. But my pie came out quick, the servers had good rapport, and there was just an air that these guys and gals knew what they were doing the whole time. Even the ordering process was super painless and expected. All food hall installations could learn a thing or two from these guys. If the biggest complaint I had was I wish they were closer, then you know I have to get back in time with my next craving for pizza.
This place is tucked away inside Whittier brewing. Good vibes all around, I highly recommend ordering the Bada Bing. Pizza was fresh, flavorful and it came out fairly quickly by the server. Definitely will be coming back!
I've tried most their pizzas, and my fav is the Gabagool. Ordering is quick walk up style and pizza takes about 15 minutes to make on the spot fresh. Seating is beer hall style... pick a table. I've always been able to squeeze in and enjoy a personal pizza with this place. Flavors are vibrant, and the style is very thin wood fired with typically hints of basil. Personal pizzas are shareable for two people (I wouldn't push for three people unless nobody is actually hungry). The cost varies between $20 and $28 per pizza. Parking close by is typically a challenge. However plenty of parking spots are available in the nearby structures which are only a couple minutes walking distance.
I went for The Godfather, their take on a meat lovers, and it's amazing! It's got that thin, light crust that gives you a satisfying crunch without the "food coma" bloat afterward. It definitely leans a bit more on the salty side, but in a way that feels intentional rather than overwhelming. I also added a light hot honey drizzle to cut through the salt. Good combo if you want to elevate it a bit more! This place is underrated. I've been to Pizzeria Mozza, Bestia and Apollionia, this pizza joint is up there on my list.

I had the meat pizza and the first few bites were good but then I hit what seemed to be large salt granules. Salt on a pizza isn't my thing so the rest was pretty mediocre.
Come here for the pizza, that's it. Today was packed, and the service was as good as it can be, i'm not saying it was an easy day. But the wings were strange. Sitting in a huge container was half cooked chicken wings, and it still takes 10 minutes to cook each individual wing. I was missing one wing and went back to get it, but they put my single wing in the pizza oven and i waited so long again. I didn't feel good after eating it either, neither did my plus one. Please just remove them from the menu and just be a pizza centric place or something. I spent my last bit of money that could've been on a decent pie at least. Got a salad for free but it was also just arugula and parm with oil or something, but so plain I just wasn't satisfied at all.
Pizza is very delicious but WOW was it spicy! Never ate something that spicy in my life. The Fugazzi pizza was extremely spicy from the jalapeño and hot honey but I couldn't stop eating it because it was so good! Next time I think I'll order the jalapeños on the side. I will say the pizza is pretty pricey. It's $22 for an individual size pizza my husband and I shared the pizza but I think we could've easily gotten our own.
It was a warm evening in uptown. A perfect night to sit outside and enjoy food and drinks. We walked into the local food hall and found La Crosta. Its located to the rear near other food vendors. Soon after we had a warm pizza and wings brought to our outside table. The hand made pizza was amazingly tasty. I usually complain about the toppings not making it all the way to the ends which leaves an abundance of crust but this time I'm not. The crust was good and dipped well into their cream ranch dressing. The wings were large and tender accompanied by the sweet chili sauce which had just enough spice. They were good. Add an ice cold beer and some live music to the mix and it's a perfect pairing. Easy parking, plenty of seating, average prices, friendly service and a fun atmosphere.
We went to the Nixon Plaza to visit Providence Bakehouse for pastries and coffee. BUT we were looking for lunch before hitting that. The pizza was yummy. Good crust, fresh toppings, not overly sauced or cheesed. We got 2, 6 slices each pizza. About $20 each pizza. The wings were pretty good too. Nothing spectacular. Came with ranch. Would go again and recommend to others if in the Nixon Plaza.

Pizza took about 15-20 min to be served which wasn't bad at all. We tried the Mootzarell-the classic margherita & it did not disappoint. The pizza was light, thin, & perfect on the crust. I'm not a big fan of oily, cheesy pizzas & this one had just the right amount olive oil, fresh mozzarella cheese, & the tomato sauce wasn't overpowering but blended well into the dough. Both of us devoured every slice. I'm definitely curious to try their other pizzas next time.

It really bums me out that I have to give what was once one of my favorite pizza spots such a low rating- you can check my review of the other La Crosta location for reference. I've been coming to the brewery for years and have never gotten any other food spot besides La Crosta because I just love it so much! However, in the last few months the quality has gone down quite noticeably. This weekend our pizza was charred beyond recognition on the top and undercooked on the bottom. And a couple weeks before our pizza had not one but TWO long hairs baked into it. I will take these experiences as a sign to skip out on La Crosta the next time I'm at WBC and give another food vendor a chance. read more
They ended up opening about 30 minutes after their scheduled 12 PM opening time due to an event. Once they finally opened to the public, we placed our order for the Bada Bing wood-fired pizza. We were given a number, and they had parmesan cheese and chili flakes set out in the front for customers to help themselves. When we received our pizza, it was definitely unique. Flavor-wise, I enjoyed how thin and crispy the crust was. The combination of toppings was interesting, and overall I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't my favorite mix of flavors, but the ingredients tasted fresh and were clearly good quality. Overall, for the $20 we paid, I thought it was worth it since it tasted fresh. read more

Came in for a group dinner. Half the group wanted pizza and the other half went for Cena. Both options were great and I love that there is something for everyone at the brewery. Both pizzas were made to order and came out within about 15 minutes. The pizzas were good, but neither really blew me away. Overall it was a solid experience and I wouldn't hesitate to come here again, but I probably wouldn't make it my first choice in terms of pizza in Whittier. read more

Pulled up to have a brew from Whittier brewing company after a ruff day, then decided to grab a pie but my feelings were hurt cause they happen to close right when I was walking up. But the guy with glasses throwing pizzas in the oven decided to still slap one last pie in the oven. Made my day & satisfied my pizza craving. read more

On a Sunday evening we went to the Whittier Brewing Company, that's where this pizza place is located. There was no line so we were able to order quickly. I was craving for pizza one lazy Sunday afternoon, and saw La Crosta was available for delivery. It was our first time to try, and it definitely did not disappoint! We ordered their meatlovers pizza, called the "GodFather" and the Gabagool pizza, which had calabrian chili and honey. We also ordered the sweet chili wings. Pizza is my favorite food (top faves: Pizzeria Bianco, Pizzeria Mozza, and Pizzana), and I'm glad we have quality pizza close by! The meatlovers pizza was a tad salty to be honest, and the Gabagool pizza was a little too spicy for me.. but the crust and the quality ingredients really shone through. My husband and I couldn't finish everything so we had leftovers for the following day. Since the crust was very thin, it only took less than five minutes of broiling in the oven and they still turned out yummy! I even felt like it was better as the crust was crunchier in the oven, I actually felt sad when we finished the leftovers! We loved their pizza crust. We will definitely order again, and try some of their other pizzas (except for the one with pineapple, a blasphemy! Kidding). As for the sweet chili chicken wings, they were delicious too, just spicy enough. We would order it again. Highly recommend La Crosta for yummy pizza! read more

La Crosta Wood Fired Pizza is in a historical building converted into a food hall space. They served Neapolitan-style pizza using quality ingredients and heating it in a wood-fired pit. Although I did not watch it being made, the beautiful pizza presentation said it all. There were bits of coal dust underneath the pizza, some areas charred with bubbled crust, and lovely cooked layers of cheese and toppings. For a group of three: BUFFALO WINGS - Buffalo wings (6) came with a side Ranch dressing and was well cooked. The cost at this restaurant feels a bit steep. I think spending $2 per wing is not the ideal price range. There was a lack of appetizers, so we chose the most filling option. MOOTZARELL-CLASSIC (Fresh Mozzarella, San Marzano Tomato Sauce, Basil, Extra Virgin Oil) - This is their classic MARGHERITA PIZZA. Anytime I'm a Neapolitan-style pizzeria, I judge the quality of their pizza-making when I order their Margherita. After taking a bite of their pizza, it was SOLID. From their mozzarella to their tomato sauce, it was on point. FUGAZZI (Fresh Mozzarella, San Marzano Tomato Sauce, Basil, Pineapple, Bacon, Jalapenos, and Hot Honey) - I wonder if they got the name of this pizza because some people believe pineapple and bacon can coexist. I will end the debate: pork and pineapple work and this pizza debunks it. Here, they layered extra ingredients of jalapeno, basil, and hot honey, which should receive a high compliment. Similar to the wings, both personal pizzas are at a price of dine-in restaurant standard. If you are good with the price, this place deserves a chance. read more

First of all, i notice La Crosta pizza has pretty good reviews. So i will post my personal opinion on A Specific day. Maybe it was not a good day. My daughter and i ordered a pizza from La Crosta at the Whitwood plaza in Whittier. Everyone was very nice meaning the workers. Nice looking restaurant and sitting outside as well. When we got our pizza and opened the box the pizza was like slippery looking. The sauce was dripping the crust was super thin you literally had to use a fork to lift it up to take a bite. I've never had pizza so hard to eat. The pictures they have outside are delicious looking thats why we decided to try the pizza. Im sorry I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

Ordered the godfather pizza. Overall, alright pizza. Enjoyed the sauce and crispiness of the toppings. The crust was really thin, but unfortunately was not very crispy. Pretty interesting that the top had a lot of color, but the bottom was fairly pale in comparison. The pizza overall was pretty salty, it was nice to balance out the saltiness with some of their (house made?) ranch. read more

I love the vibe of the beer hall, it's a family friendly and pup friendly spot with a lot of good offerings! So fun, on St Pats day, one of the pizza place employees was dressed as a leprechaun, beard and all!! read more
One of my favorite pizza's in So.Cal. Delicious Neapolitan style, multi-textured; both with a crispy bake and a soft bite, topped off with an appealing bubbled-up crust. The sauce is tangy and the ingredients are fresh. I've had the privilege and pleasure to visit two Pizza capital's this year Rome and New York, and La Crosta is one of the offerings that comes closest to taking me back to pizza paradise and stands shoulder to shoulder with both of them! Food: 5/5 Value: 4/5 Experience: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Good for: Pizza party, happy hour with friends. Casual dates. Good for groups (so everyone can get something they want). Recommends: Bada-Bing, Bada-Boom, Gabagool. Notes: Park on the street or in a lot and walk a couple blocks. It's in the old Bank of America Building in the Nixon Plaza and looks nice. This is more of a note for the city of Whittier, but maybe it's time to rebrand the Nixon-stuff. For a wonderfully diverse community, it's a shame that it's tainted by the memory of one of America's worst and most disgraced presidents. read more
