On my way to LAX and I wanted something quick. I'd heard about the Montebello location, which now goes by another name. So we decided to try this location to see if it was just as good. First, this location is more of a takeout than a restaurant. It's small and might have room for about 10 people. I wouldn't plan on eating there. Now, we ordered a standard pepperoni pizza. It was good but nothing to write home about. Very standard issue. We ordered a Hawaiian BBQ pizza next. WOW! That one was REALLY good! The sauce they used on the pizza was outstanding, and the chicken were good size chunks. Pineapple pieces set it off perfectly. Well worth the purchase. Next, we ordered some wings. Nothing special, but not too bad. I liked them. The last thing we ordered was the garlic cheese balls. This is where it went from "pretty good" to "must try". The balls were huge, with bread on the inside and mozzarella in the middle. Dipped in garlic sauce, they explode with flavor in your mouth. Turned on yet?!? One more mention: the guy who helped us was the nicest person I've ever met in a restaurant. He catered to anything we needed or wanted. Great food, great service. You can't beat it. Give it a shot. I was craving some hot wings so decided to drop by to pick some up. The spot is located conveniently in a strip mall with ample parking. The staff is super attentive, friendly, and polite and were nice enough to go over the menu since it was my first time. There is limited seating if you're looking to dine in but I was just picking up. I ordered 12 pieces boneless wings and chose Thai Chili and Korean BBQ. The wings were delicious, mouth watering, and full of flavor. The Korean BBQ were my favorite and the order came with carrot sticks and ranch dressing. Some serious shrinkflation going on here. I ordered 2 medium pizzas and 12 wings. The pizzas were unusually small compared to other pizza places in the area. I could understand it being slightly smaller, but this was significant. The wings were also significantly smaller than most wing places in the area. A disappointment for a place that heavily advertises its wings. I could understand the smaller portions if the price was lower, but to pay almost $21 for a plan ol' pepperoni medium pizza that should be classified as a small size is crazy. Then the garlic parm fries. Limp. Bland. And saturated with oil. She had 3 of them and pushed it away. I ate a few more but there's almost a quarter inch of oil in the bottom of the container. Unfortunately, I could have gotten better pizza and wings from 7-Eleven. Both items were incredibly dry, and I can't help but wonder if they made our order at 12 PM and let it sit until 4 PM. The ranch dressing did not taste like the regular store ranch. It was delicious. My Son had the Buffalo pizza. He ate the whole pizza in less than 15 minutes. He enjoyed it. This review is for the Alondras off Whittier where the old Dominos used to be. Came in for a bite during this past heat wave and it was incredibly hot inside. The employees must have been so uncomfortable but they still greeted us kindly and were working non stop to fill take out orders at the time. I had lemon pepper wings with a personal pizza and both were so good. The seating is limited (it's a small building) and there are no restrooms available for customers.
