My recent lunch experience was fantastic. The menu featured a diverse range of choices , each promising a delightful taste. We ordered pepperoni pizza, wings, submarine sandwich and a salad. Everything was spot on and amazing!! I want to also acknowledge the friendly staff who ensured our experience was top-notch. I've driven by this place for a long time time and I hadn't stopped because of course, pizza places are a dime a dozen. So today I was walking and decided I was gonna give it a shot I didn't want to spend much but I had four bucks on me. I went in and asked for a slice and it was a little over $4. I told him it was what I had and he said don't even worry, I got you! The pizza was phenomenal. It was perfectly sized so a nice large pepperoni slice as well as it had a very perfect crunch. I highly highly recommend this place and will be back. !! read more

Decided to check out this local spot. Very nice staff. The single pizza slice is very huge which is cool that you can order by the slice.

This place is superb! Service, & food are the best. Ambiance is homestyle, comfy and clean.We take out to share with family at home. Everything I've had here is good. I haven't had the sandwiches or pasta but pizzas, salads, wings, and potato wedges were all good. I always go for the lunch specials. I like getting either two slices of pizza or a slice and salad with the medium drink. Good for lunch if you have an hour due to the 15 minutes or so pizza making time, otherwise call it in. Service is always great. Think I've been here around 7 or so times for lunch. read more

Another place that wants to claim to be NY style but is actually just NY like. This isn't NY style thin crust. The crust is too thick and doughy . Too much cheese and the pepperoni has too much pepperoni. Definitely edible but not incredible. The flavor profiles were just off. It's ok if you don't know what real NY pizza is supposed to be . And damn the decor is so depressing. The wall art and furnishings are just horrible. No aroma of pizza or anything cooking. No display of pies. I didn't see my pizza go in an oven. It may have been microwaved in the back for all I know. You deserve better Whittier. read more

On my search for good pizza this side of the 5 freeway and I did not get it here. It was hot inside, video games right where you eat so it was apparent this place was not geared towards great food but mediocre pizza and games. Staff was friendly and took my order I got a pizza and a coke which was out of a can and it took about 10 min with me being the only one there. The pizza was thinner and had a lil bit of crisp which I love but this pizza was not for me. It was too saucy for the amount of bread and cheese on the slice. It was also very greasy and the cheese wasn't tasty. Don't think I'll be coming back here even if it's free. read more

The go-to place for the best pizza around! Tons of toppings on the pies and the garlic cheese bread is amazing! They are super fast whether it's a phone-in order or in person. Staff are all friendly & welcoming. Plenty of seating if you want to enjoy your grub in-house and even some pinball games to enjoy while you wait for your order. We have been coming here for years and recently noticed the change in pizza . We don't know if it's the cheese they changed , we still have it here and there but we don't crave it like we used to . The service is great we never have a problem with our order , friendly staff , location does have a sitting area but we normally just pick up or have it delivered. Nice and clean . Great pizza, decent prices. I usually have to add a bunch of specifications to my pizza, for example, 'light sauce, extra cheese, well-done crust, etc. ' but this place serves it just right. Has a good amount of cheese, nice tasting as well! No bland, dollar tree cheese. Maybe not Tillamook either but still tasty. Pizza isn't drowning in sauce that overpowers the flavor of everything else & the crust is nice & thick. We tried the potato wedges here today & they were pretty good! A little soggy, but still fresh & flavorful. Nice hint of spice and good flavor all around. The garlic bread is OK. It's like the trashy white garlic bread that's made with garlic powder instead of real garlic but I honestly love all kinds of garlic bread & this kind gets me in the nostalgia feels. Reminds me of my young days at Shakey's or Chuck E. Cheese. Overall, nice little spot for some pizza. It's one of our go-to spots that's not very out of the way & it's pretty consistent. I haven't had a bad experience here yet & we've ordered a few times within the last 2 months or so. Always good. Have not dined in yet--just take out--but it makes it home perfectly fine. In late August on my way home from work, I wanted pizza for dinner and I planned on going to another restaurant to order a pizza. But I stumbled upon this place and thought I would try it out. The pizza is thin crust which is my favorite. The wings and salad were good too. The guys behind the counter were nice and my order was ready in a timely manner. It was about 15 years ago that I first drove by and saw the sign for Joe Peeps. I wish I had tried it then but I am the king of the procrastinators. As I walked up to the door, I saw the sign that said "new owner". My heart sank a little. I figured that the new owners got the recipe from the old owner. Probably not. I've never had bad pizza in New York, but this just SAID New York, it didn't live up to it. Bland, way too hot (I kid you not, I had to wait 4 minutes before I could pick it up!). Ordered the Blue collar Ny style pizza it states light toppings in the description there were no toppings upon arrival. The employee informed me that it was best to order over the phone or in person for them to explain that you must add toppings.
