We were starving after travelling all day and viewing the beautiful creations at the Thursday night Art Walk. We wanted our first dinner in San Jose Del Cabo to be Mexican food, but La Dolce looked really inviting so we decided to eat there. I'm so glad we did! The wait staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very charming! Painted brick, exposed beams - it felt good to be in that setting. The food was delicious, too! We ordered focaccia as an appetizer, and we both ordered the cannelloni as our main dish. The cannelloni was amazingly good! We each paired our meal with a glass of Pinot Noir, which was excellent. The meal came to $1,179 MXN (about $62 USD) without tip. I think the price was fair considering the quality of the meal. Be sure to set your expectations appropriately - Cabo's prices are similar to US prices, so don't expect to get good food for cheap. All in all, it was a wonderful first night in San Jose Del Cabo. Thank you, La Dolce!

My wife and I were visiting San Jose and we decided to give this restaurant a try. We had been there before 10 years ago, but kind of forgot what our experience was and we are so happy we went. They were very accommodating to our dietary needs. The food was a generous portion at reasonable prices compared to the local hotels. The ambience inside is very old world rustic-cozy with excellent lighting and decor. Our server Martin, was excellent and was very entertaining the entire night as it was a lot of fun as well so I highly recommend this restaurant. and incidentally, we noticed that a lot of locals were eating there so obviously they are highly respected in the community.

Great ambience! Love the open concept! The menu has gluten free options and the servers are attentive and knowledgeable of food allergies. The pizza looked amazing! The ribeye was good it is pan fried. We enjoyed watching the pizza oven cook. Hubby said the Bread was really good. Coffee latte was good. We were too full for dessert! But they Looked good too. They do a very nice performance for birthdays! It was really cool!

Our favorite pizza on the Baja.

We've eaten at La Dolce in Cabo for years and decided to try the sister location out. We were not disappointed. It had a completely different feel than Cabo. The food was great. The staff was exceptional. Open air seating with entertainment isn't usually my jam but it was welcomed. Also, the plaza outside has a lot to offer from art work to local street vendors. Must see kind of stop.

I don't often leave low star reviews but feel the need to warn others that this high star restaurant is misleading. We made reservations and when we arrived they couldn't find it and made us feel unwelcome. The waiter, which seemed to be the manager, was not kind. The food was very mediocre, it was good enough but nothing special. We had a passion fruit margarita (even though we ordered mandarin) and it was not strong or flavorful. On the positive side the location is great.

Who goes to Mexico to eat Italian food??! My husband and I came here while being stranded in our hotel due to Hurricane Kay last week. So glad we found this place on yelp and they were one of the only restaurants open for lunch. What a great little Italian restaurant in San Jose Del Cabo. The staff was really nice, the pasta was delicious paired with a bottle of Duckhorn Cabernet Sauvignon. I would recommend this place to people who are looking for an Italian restaurant in Cabo. This place is located across the street from the Church in the main plaza. I wish we had enough room to try their dessert.

So that's where is that Beautiful pizza is made

What a wonderful surprise. We wanted to go to an Italian/pizza restaurant we have gone to in the past. We like this restaurant we know it's overpriced but after a lot of Mexican food we wanted a change. Unfortunately this pricey place was filled so we looked elsewhere via YELP! What I saw was 4 1/2 out of five stars for LoDolce. Over 50 reviews and it was difficult to see anything less than four. I'm somewhat jaded but looks good enough for me to try. I made the right choice. I walked in and went to a charming little garden area with our table. Immediately I felt like I was in Florence Italy. Not fancy just very family feeling. What we thought was the waiter we quickly realized was the owner. Once again I had the same type of warm feeling I received in the past when I was in Florence. My wife and I ordered a nice inexpensive Argentina wine started thinking about appetizers. I suggested to my wife we ordered pizza to start with. I was about to order pizza with bacon but we then asked the owner what he suggested. We are glad that we filed his suggestion. Pizza was a past Chef's personal favorite called Pizza chef Jean Pierre which was made with Gorgonzola, Porcini, Walnuts, parmesan, Spicy red pepper, Pesto, arugula. It was a good choice. My wife ordered Linguine al Pesto w/Shrimp (Olive Oil, Garlic,Shrimp, Pinenuts, Basil Parmesan). I tasted it, perfect. My choice was just as good, it was Spaghetti alla Carbonara (Bacon, eggs, cream and Parmesan). I love it but rarely order it. This was a good version. We were pretty filled but yet we did not want to leave the charm so we ordered dessert's. My wife loved her Chocolate Peanut cake with Vnilla ice cream, I ordered just the simple homemade Gelato. It was then time to feel the pain of the Bill. This restaurant was an easy 4 STAR for me, but when I realized this great place called me only $81 in an area where it is easy to see prices $200+++, I had to give it a 5 STAR. If you check other reviews you can see many others agree. *A little side story. If you are new to this area be aware the Taxi cab's seem to take advantage charging $15 for a 5 minute ride. My 7 mile 15 minute drive via UBER cost me only $5. I will only take Uber when I can now is this area. I bet a cab would have charged me $30 for my ride to La Dolce.

It is easy to find, and there were plenty of parking. A beautiful singer sang incredible songs outside, and the place was so adorable decorated with flowers. The food was amazing: mussels, olive oil fresh pasta, a house salad (the dressing was outstanding), and a shrimp/chicken dish. All were 9s. Seasoning was light and every dish blended well. Kudos to the chef. Max truly made our night. He was the 'perfect' serve-attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about everything we needed. It's one of the best restaurants I've been to in Cabo, outside touristy places. Definitely will be back!

After finally locating the restaurant we decided to sit inside as we wanted to duck the humidity and not be subjected to the awful outside lounge singer - think bad karaoke where the singer thinks they're good but not. We ordered the Cadillac margarita and a regular margarita - both frozen. The cocktails tasted as if the tequila were absent but I digress. We passed on appetizers as we knew there would be bread; however, we learned bread comes with the food not prior to. We had the ravioli with 4 cheeses and the bolognese with house made pasta - pro tip, if you don't pay the $60 pesos it's boxed pasta ‍ both dishes were well prepared and just enough food before you go into that uncomfortable food coma. Service was good enough but nothing special. If in the area I'd definitely return as it was one of the better meals that we had in Los Cabos.

You expect the familiar flavor of traditional hummus... and then BOOM. The complexity of flavors hits you like a ton of delicious bricks. It completely changes your expectations of what hummus can be. Next came the Burrata Macha. Imagine a classic Italian burrata reimagined with a Mexican soul. The spicy red macha oil elevated it to an entirely different level. Every bite revealed new flavors that were almost impossible to define, making each one a wonderful surprise. For the main course, I ordered the Mexican interpretation of Bucatini al Nero. As someone who loves the Italian original, I was amazed. It kept the spirit of the dish while adding a Mexican twist that somehow made it even better. It wasn't simply Italian or Mexican cuisine--it became something entirely its own. My wife chose the Triangoli de Humita. The name might sound unusual, but so was the dish--in the best possible way. It was far more than a corn ravioli. The incredible depth of flavor, paired with a rich, dark mushroom sauce, made it one of the standout dishes of the evening. Dessert was the Merengue de Salvia, although calling it a meringue doesn't really do it justice. It somehow managed to be spicy, savory, sweet, and tangy all at the same time. It was unlike anything we've ever had and the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. A special thank you to Rolando, our waiter, who explained every dish with passion and attention to detail. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the entire experience even more memorable. Sage isn't just a restaurant. It's a culinary adventure that constantly surprises you and challenges what you think food can be. If you're in Cabo, don't miss it.

The live music was fantastic and added so much to the overall vibe. From a setting standpoint, it's hard to beat. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the ambiance. The menu was extremely limited and incredibly overpriced. There were no kids' options at all, which was surprising given that they have such a great activity area clearly geared toward families. We ended up ordering a $40 USD pizza for our 6-year-old -- which feels absurd. I make pizza at home on our Ooni that's just as good, if not better, for a fraction of the cost. It's hard to justify those prices, especially without a smaller or kid-friendly option available. The least expensive glass of wine was $32 USD, which felt excessive. We also happened to visit during a seasonal menu rotation that heavily featured tomatoes, capers, and pork -- three ingredients my wife (whose birthday we were celebrating) doesn't care for. Unfortunately, they don't publish their menu in advance, so we didn't know this until we arrived. To their credit, our server recognized we weren't thrilled and brought over a manager who was very kind and professional. He offered to buy my wife a glass of wine and send over ice cream for our son. However, our son has a nut allergy, and we were told that every flavor made onsite could be cross-contaminated with nuts -- so he wasn't able to enjoy that gesture either. It's disappointing because this is a place that appears to cater to families, yet it feels both difficult and very expensive to bring children here. The setting and atmosphere are beautiful, but for us, the value and overall experience just didn't match the price point.

My girlfriends and I ordered four Mexican breakfast in different forms but they are just very clever ways of making tacos into breakfast items. I have recently remet up with my girlfriends who gushed about our breakfast expedition at this place. Everything was wonderful but the most pronounced characteristic about this breakfast menu is how something so simple can taste this good. The concept is easy to replicate - taco with bacon and eggs make is breakfast and not lunch but the execution is difficult to pull it off at home because you can't get the ingredients as good as here, plus the avocado is way better Mexico. I took lots of photos about the food but I could not take the ceviche or taco home. So I finally tried to replicate the breakfast taco recently at a friend's house and it was a total winner. Imitation is the best form of flattery. This restaurant is slightly out of the way but it is worth the short walk. On the way to the restaurant, we also found great massage place and a supermarket where I picked up some Kinder eggs for friends' children back in San Francisco. Four brunches, four drinks, several appetizers and two desserts set us back $75 for the four of us. What a steal! No wonder it took me weeks before I feel justified to eat out back at home again.
