In the middle of carne asada, birria, and fish La Dolce Vita stands out as some very good Italian. Whether it is pizza or pasta, you cannot go wrong. There is so much flavor in both. My wife got ravioli and I got a pizza. She had a bite of my pizza and decided to order one to go! My in laws visit frequently and this is a great change of pace. The service staff is great, and the vibe is perfect! We will be heading there next time we are in town.

Really nice place in the heart of the Romantic Zone. They really stand out with their bright lighting and beautiful outdoor seating. I've passed this place a few times and finally decided to stop in. The service was great and the food was amazing!! We got the Alfredo with chicken and Bruschetta bread that was delicious! We also had a couple cocktails that were great too! All around I will definitely return here on my next trip to PV! I recommend you try it too!

A friend chose this place for dinner because we had eaten here 2 years ago and it was good. Although I prefer to eat at the outdoor tables, this time three of us decided to eat at the bar. We ordered drinks, appetizers and entrees. Funghi Trifolati appetizer was flavorful but overly salty. Still, I finished it because I love mushrooms. Prosciutto and melon was deliciously balanced sweet/salty but the kitchen can't go wrong with that. My special of the day entree, Scaloppine al Limone, was tangy and tasty, with roasted rosemary potatoes and spinach. Maybe there was a bit too much oil or butter but still acceptable. House Cabernet Sauvignon was bland and unremarkable but it's a house wine by the glass. Service was good until the end. I asked the bartender to add a certain percentage tip (propina) to the bill. He apparently was insulted and asked if service was bad. My friend replied it was not bad. He asked again if I'm sure that was what I wanted to tip. Now I, the customer, was insulted and could have cut it in half or left nothing, but said tip the same percentage (which we have left at most places in PV without a complaint and even with appreciation). Four stars down to three for such rude remarks, the first I've heard in my travels in Mexico.

This restaurant deserves a rating so much more than what it has. The service was impeccable and the meal was extraordinary. I really enjoyed the ambiance. Hats off to Franco! Highly recommend!

Ate here about 5 times, i swear i left a review each time, must have never went through. I owe this place a amazing review probably a 4.7 out of 5 (they only allow a 4 or a 5). So ill try and incorporate what i recall in my stay in Dec -Jan. Absolutely loved the exterior perfectly situated in a corner where probably the most popular area in Zona Romantica for restaurants. There are about 6 amazing restaurants seemingly within 50 feet of each other. I was blown away by how inexpensive some of my selections were. Had the Fettuccine Alfredo 5*, Linguine and clams 4.6*, Lasagna 2x 5*, and Pizza 4.5* not a good leftover pizza cheese is different then American cheese. Excellent attentive service, the ambiance and energy, vibe is incredible especially at the bar met some good folks. The thing that got me was in Phoenix/ Scottsdale anything like this atmosphere and food is easily 35-45$ with a cocktail, i was consistently around 20$. Also loved that it had a fell of upscale but you could fell comfortably in casual attire. Definitely my first stop when i return to Zona.

Ensure you are at the one in Zona Romantica - this review does not speak to the other locations. Dined here twice in July 2022. Once at a table for two enjoying the Fettucine al Salmone and the Spaghetti alla carbonara, both absolutely fantastic. The second night sat at the bar, shared a peperoni and mushroom pizza ordered crispy. Came out as ordered, friendly bar staff, everything was extremely clean - and the place has a great vibe. Definitely recommend.

Incredible lasagna and fettuccine Alfredo with a little meat sauce on the side my wife's favorite!

I don't quite understand why this restaurant doesn't have five stars. It is absolutely fabulous. Italian food is one of my favorites and this is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to regardless the fact it's in Puerto Vallarta or whether it would be in the United States it is absolutely authentic and delicious. The staff is friendly. The portions are huge And the flavor is great! Five stars all day long!

Very good food, amazing 5 star quality . We felt very under dressed lol. The staff was good I had a hard time deciding between lasagna and a veal dish, I went with the veal. Karin had some salmon something dish. For drinks, went with a tequila sunrise the El Diablo and she had a strawberry margarita.

    Fettuccini + shrimp and zucchini

For starters, the margarita was strong - in the best way. The bruschetta came with 6 pieces. The bread was warm and toasted and the tomatoes were perfect. Add the oil and balsamic for extra flavor. The fettuccini + shrimp and zucchini entree was tasteful and delicious as well. Overall, great food for a good price.

After eating at several Mexican restaurants during our trip, we wanted something different. We passed by La Dolce Vita during a stroll down the Malecon and it smelt awesome, so we stopped in for a delicious dinner. We shared a fresh salad before each grabbing a pizza. (I had a pepperoni, and my partner had a spinach and mushroom.). The pizzas are made fresh and cooked in a brick oven, giving that extra bit of char on the crust, which I love. We boxed up the pizza to take back to our condo so we could each get a dessert. The chocolate ice cream cake was amazing! The wait staff was welcoming and attentive during our dinner, and the price for everything was very reasonable. (The only thing I would avoid getting again was the glass of wine I chose... but they have a whole menu of others I could have chosen from...)

Those guys came over of course when I realized what was actually happening happening I was in tears laughing so hard. Those guys were so sweet we all had a great laugh about it. BEWARE FOOD POISONING!…read more Walked over here for dinner because this place is constantly recommended by people in the neighborhood. All the seating is outside, which is fine. I noticed right away that the kitchen is tiny. It made me wonder how they manage to put out so much food. Service was standard. Nothing to complain about while we were sitting there, but the aftermath was a disaster. My partner and I both got extremely sick a few hours after leaving. It was pretty clearly food poisoning, likely salmonella based on the symptoms. It is very disappointing since so many people talk this place up. I will not be going back. Would really caution and avoid if older or immunocompromised.

We ventured…read moreout to La Capella the other night, and honestly, it wasn't just a meal; it was an entire experience, fantastic from the moment we arrived until we reluctantly left. First things first, the setting is straight out of a postcard. Picture this: you're perched high up, gazing out at this unbelievably beautiful, sparkling blue sea, with an old, quaint church adding character to the horizon. It's truly a dreamscape, especially as the sun begins its descent, painting the sky with the most incredible colors. Seriously, it's the kind of view that makes your jaw drop and your worries melt away. Pure, unadulterated magic! Our evening was made even more special by our fantastic waiter, Jarod. What a star! He was genuinely charming and incredibly attentive, always there right when we needed him without being intrusive. He kept everything running smoothly, offered great suggestions, and truly made us feel like royalty. His warmth and efficiency really elevated the whole vibe of the night. And then, the food... oh my goodness, the food! It was nothing short of culinary perfection. I couldn't resist ordering my beloved pork osso bucco again - it's become my absolute favorite there, and for good reason! It arrived unbelievably tender, practically melting in your mouth, and every bite was an explosion of rich, delectable flavors. Just as phenomenal as I remembered, if not better! Honestly, every single dish that graced our table was impeccably prepared and utterly delicious. Seriously, if you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, you *must* put La Capella on your list. And here's my golden nugget of advice: make sure to grab an early reservation. Trust me, you absolutely do not want to miss that breathtaking sunset; it transforms an amazing dinner into an absolutely legendary one. Go on, treat yourself - you won't it.

I made reservations a few weeks in advance and we were able to sit on the terrace to enjoy the views. They had live violinists (three!!) that were playing, it was so romantic. I loved the violinists, they were all so nice and friendly. I got the guava martini which was good and I ordered the spageti bolognese, which was tender and flavorful. The dish was solid with a nice presentation. They also brought out complimentary olive bread with parmesan grated cheese which was really good. The food and drinks are pricey! For the 4 of us including drinks and dinner, it ended up being almost $70 per person. Service was just okay, our waiter was a little stern and we had to flag to get his attention a few times. I would definitely come here for a special occasion, for the beautiful view and ambience.
