This is my 2nd review .. I was reading all these negative reviews and I was absolutely furious! I have been going to Myran for 15 years! As a beauty professional myself for over 45 years .. I believe I am qualified to speak truth.. Most of those reviews that were negative were mostly all Groupon people .. not a coincidence.. At my salon we stopped dealing with Groupon because we found that these people were not very nice as clients .. mostly problematic .. they were deal seekers and often came to us damaged by someone else and were expecting miracles.. They were not worth the money.. That being said.. Myran has performed many different kinds of services on me and I have Bern nothing but ecstatic with the results.. Normally I wouldn't give 1 star reviews because I'm all for not dragging down businesses BUT... I did the "mini facial with chemical peel" Groupon. The esthetician was very nice, however, did the peel wrong. She RUBBED the product in, but I had no knowledge this would cause complications. I ended up having a lot of scarring and no benefit whatsoever. My aesthetic nurse had to micro needle and do another chem peel to correct the damage this one gave me. Stay away! They are saying that it's not valid because of the other.When I purchased the second one, the fine print does not state that first time clients are not eligible and they will not honor the Groupon. I've been getting waxed for years and I don't have much hair, so it should be easy, but she left lots hair out and even the area she thought she waxed, the hair wasn't pulled, the hair was just broken off like it was shaved. I bought a Groupon for "One Deep Pore Cleansing Facial with Enzymes." Everyone at LA Spa Esthetique was super nice and personable, so I want to make sure I say that and get it out of the way. However, the facial was only 30 mins long. If you look on their website, they offer a signature facial and the mini signature facial. The Groupon is apparently for the mini signature facial, but nothing on the Groupon divulges this information. I would not have purchased this Groupon if I knew it was only for 30 mins, so when I realized that it was very disappointing. Furthermore, the facial itself was not that great. I am no facial newbie, and this definitely ranked in the lower third of all facials I've ever gotten, mainly because the extractions were not thorough whatsoever. I wouldn't come back here, and wouldn't recommend this facial to any friends. read more

Found them on Groupon and went for a 60 min Tibetan face and body massage. I asked for the focus to be on the face. The masseuse did her best but a few times I had to warn her about her nails going into my cheeks and eyelid. That made me nervous throughout the whole experience. I am someone who gets facials semi regularly. I enjoy a chemical peel facial because I am prone to acne scars and dark spots. She recommended a facial that uses a tool to scrape the face which is supposed to take the dead skin off and rejuvenate the look and feel of face. I woke up with actual scrapes on my face. It looked like my dog scratched my face. The environment here is decent but it's not a spa that makes you feel relaxed and really comfortable. I wouldn't go back. She was a nice woman but this spa is not quality. read more

Myran is great! She is working with me on getting me skin clear and beautiful. She has custom created a 5 month program with me that is extremely affordable. Each time she sees me, she addresses the specific concerns of my skin and is available should I have questions. Also, she sells products that are actually affordable and does not push them on you. If you want to buy them, you do, if not, you don't! She takes a minimalistic approach and believes less is more. Probably the best aesthetician I've been to so far in my life. Highly Recommend! I got a cursory apology, and no attempt to make amends. I got a Groupon and made an appointment for a Salicylic acid peel. I have gotten peels regularly but just moved to LA and was looking for a reasonably priced spa. The procedure went fine, but as the esthetician was removing the acid, I felt that they didn't remove one area above my lip. I informed them that my skin was burning really badly in that area but they said this was normal. After I left, my skin continued to burn for 2 hours after. The next day I woke up with a dark large burn on my face. A chemical burn at a licensed establishment, that should know how to handle and remove medical grade products, is unacceptable. read more

The person who attends the front desk (shame on me for not knowing her name) always returns my texts or calls promptly, and is very accommodating with appointments. I'd definitely recommend going. My only minor criticism is sometimes I feel the eyelash technician doesn't listens to the style or how I want my eyelashes applied, so the look isn't necessarily what I requested, however I always like them afterwards. Just a little back story, I used to get microdermabrasion done regularly before moving to LA. When I moved here and started looking for a new place to get it done, I discovered that it seemed like peels were much more popular out here so I tried those out for a year but really disliked the downtime of 3 days of peeling post procedure so I started looking for a place to go back to getting microdermabrasion done. I stumbled upon an online deal for this place that was for 2 peels or microdermabrasion treatments. I called and made an appointment for a thursday specifically for microdermabrasion (they only do appointments thurs-sat.. not very convenient for me..), came in and met Myron said again that I wanted microdermabrasion done. Myran took a quick look at my skin and recommended that I get a peel instead. I told her no, I didn't want to deal with the peeling afterward and she told me that what she used was an instant peel, that I would see results right away. So I thought ok.. well might as well try it. I agreed and repeated to her again that I couldn't be peeling over the weekend, I was going out of town and had a lot of plans. I went ahead with the treatment and let me tell you why you shouldn't get an instant peel... there is no such thing! I was peeling all weekend and was mortified about the condition of my skin. Not just a little bit either.. it was a full on regular peel which is not at all what I wanted. I don't know why practitioners push peels so much more than microdermabrasion to the point of lying about the aftermath.. but needless to say I am still on the hunt for a regular place to get microderm treatments done. read more

She explained exactly what she was doing and how the process worked as this was the first time receiving this type of facial. She also let me know what products she was using on my skin. We addressed my skincare concerns and what I really found remarkable was that she was never trying to sell me something I did't need. I love this place I got a Microdermabrasion/micro toning and also a peek done. Myran is super sweet and nice and very informative with you skin concerns. I always like to wear make up and I didnt know what to use as cleansers. I was always using aveeno from the drug store and didn't have a specific toner to stick to. Myran took a look at my face and used La rosche posay and told me to use a Gauze that I didn't know you can use on your face and it scrubs really well. Natasha is amazing! I wouldn't normally get spa services in Brentwood, but Natasha was highly recommended by a friend so I decided to go for it. I'm so glad I did! First of all, Natasha was so sweet and down-to-earth. I got stuck in Wilshire traffic and was a bit late for my appointment. Natasha was so understanding and even went outside to guide me into the parking lot. Secondly, I was so relaxed that I might have actually dozed off for a minute or few. Lastly, days later, my skin is still glowing. I've been suffering from some winter skin problems and the facial really cleared them up. Ive been going to Myran for over 5 years. Shes is absolutely amazing and very cautious of what she recommends. I never heard of dermaplanning before meeting Myran and that combined with her conservative peels have transformed my skin. She always has the best products which are not expensive and she doesnt always agree that pricey product names are better. She never pushes any products on me and will only suggest a product that she fully believes, even though most are natural and organic regimens that can be found at wholefoods. Myran also has great deals if you buy packages-normally you get a free peel or dermaplanning. She also will always try squeezing you in or working with you on your appointment schedule. I have know Myran for at least at least 4 years now and one thing I have know to make her better than any esthetician in LA is that she is an honest and compassionate one. For example, after you get once of her famous dermaplanning( the 1 techniquie in Europe and she is certified) or an oxygen facial (calms down rosacea or redness) some people would tip her however, she will tell people, "You do not have to tip me as long as you would just refer me just one new client so we can be even."
