So good! The chile Colorado was a bit too tender for my liking but I figured it was because the meat had maybe been reheated in the sauce once too many times. The next time I went I had the carne asada plate and that was way better. All the people I went with said their food was yummy. They really have to do better on the water though, it was disgusting. This is a great Mexican food place IMO. on top of the regular tortilla chips and salsa, they also give you their own cabbage salsa. to me, that is always a sweet touch, not to mention you can ask for salsa picante too. we have taken friends here and they're also impressed with the quality, also, the huge portion of food too. for my family, their food items hit the spot so when we go out of town, we don't even go look for mexican food. instead, we seek for the type of food we cannot find in fallon. read more

I confess to being a regular. So regular that when they see my wife and me, they ask if we are having our usuals. The answer is usually "yes". My regular is the carne asada, which comes with a generous portion of steak, beans, guacamole, and rice. My wife usually has the pollo asada, with means chicken instead of steak. The pisole soup is the best I have had anywhere, though a bit pricey. Service is first rate. The staff is very friendly. Portions are huge. This is the best Mexican restaurant not only in Fallon but in northern Nevada. We are so spoiled we won't eat at any other. read more

It's a great clean restaurant. We have gave it a five star every time we have gone out to eat. Today we had 11 people for reservations.. We could have picked any restaurant in Fallon Nevada. We decided La fiesta because it's the best . I don't appreciate the service today . We were not offered any water . My fiance was the last one to be served and his food did not come until everyone else was finished. You could have apologize and that is why you had a low tip You should appreciate that a lot of us like your place. Even when family is visiting we bring them to your restaurant. Wonderful! I have not found a Mexican restaurant in my ventures in years of travel with a good Pesolé. I was extremely pleased with seeing a good home food on the menu. Me and my friends had 4 different drinks and every one of them has maybe 2% alcohol after we clearly showed out id's. And all 4 our of meats (carne asada, California burritos and pork fajitas) can only be described as dead coyote meat.... music can be extremely loud or no music! Maybe lunch is better? But not at 3:00 in the Afternoon. Came in for go order, first visit. Waiter had me sit at table covered with menu's and a water bottle, (2 couples in whole place). Ordered a Coors light. Ok it was ice cold but no glass and $5.00 I ordered the special (carne Assad taco salad, no beans. Also a chicken mole,2 fish tacos and chile rellano. Waiter so so. I get home (5miles) greasy shell, about the size of a small bowl, just lettuce and stringy meat on top. No dressing, tomatoes, olives, cheese zip and at $14.00 ! Chicken mole must of been from lunch, meat & rice dry. He forgot the tacos and the chile rellano was so so. We will not be going back! read more

Very tasty Mexican food, but the prices are extremely high for the amount of food you get. I would like to go there more often, but have had to try other restaurants that are more reasonably priced. The first time we had dinner there it was good, not remarkable, but good. Went today, and ordered the seafood enchiladas, and was shocked at how bad and fishy it tasted. Tried 2 more bites, and I was done. My wife ordered the chili Colorado, and she said it tasted like pure chili powder was poured on it. Very unhappy with the poor quality of food served. Still tipped the server well, as it's not his fault, but there is no way I will ever come back, especially since the prices for food, even lunch time, (check out their menu), are pretty pricey. The only issue i had was: I asked the hostess to give me a to go bag for all our food, but she rudely said "the waiter will bring your food out" she could've been nicer about it, but other than that our waiter was running his butt off running circles around every table. read more

We got Mexican pizza and steak and lobster. Mexican pizza tasted awful and was thrown together. Lobster was decent except the fact the smothered it in shredded cheese. I want to give this place 3.5 stars. The food is pretty authentic tasting. It was really busy. They have great lunch specials and food selections. But, i think the food is a little bland. I tried the carnitas dinner, which was juicy and succulent, and was definitely more than enough food to take home for left-overs. Would not recommend this place for a multitude of reasons. The first being that when I asked for shredded chicken tacos, the chicken in the tacos was large chunks. Secondly, the seasonings were strong Mediterranean style, not Mexican at all. Having traveled all over Baja and Mexico for many years, always sampling the local food vice the tourist joints,, I'd say I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. Last, the taco shells were cooked in some sort of grease that was last changed some years ago? Either way, it was so bad I couldn't eat more than one or two bites of the tacos; and I am not a picky eater. MREs would have been a grand meal compared to this. I had talked with the manager, asked for one each of chicken, carnitas, and carne asada. What I got was chunks of pork, chicken, and ground beef. I am in Fallon on business and tried this place last night. Excellent to say the least. I tried the Carnitas plate and I must admit that they were the best carnitas I have had (I am from the East Coast). Everything was great, the atmosphere, the service and the food, delicious. Maybe just moving to Fallon from Southern California I'm slightly spoiled when it comes to Mexican food, but all in all I was hugely disappointed with this place. Firstly, $56 for three take out meals...omg...I'm used to feeding a family of 4 for under $25. Rice and beans are not expensive, neither are tortillas, or many of the ingredients. Rip off there. So for that price I'm expecting the best most flavorful fresh food ever. That is not what we got. Frankly it was awful. The only saving grace was the guacamole which was loaded with salt so at least added some flavor to choke down some of the food, most of which went in the trash. I had the special of the day...cheese enchiladas, beans, avacado, and a carne asada dish that had some of the best seasoning I've had in quite a while. Perhaps I like Mexican food after all. This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Fallon. Each time they've brought the food on time and the quality is great. It's not the real taqueria style restaurant so if what you are looking for is something more authentic then this is not the place for you. The quality of the food is great and the plates are huge so come hungry. They also have cocktail drinks and beer so if you need to de-stress and have a taco and beer you can do it. The prices are not as cheap but the food they give is a lot to make up for the cost. I have ordered the big platter appetizers with everything and it was delicious, shared with hubby and we still took some home. I totally recommend their beans and the chips with cabbage (weird) but super tasty. I recommend this place to anyone visiting Fallon for the first time. read more
