Apparently I must've came at the wrong time because customer service from la pinche gordA was nonexistent. Upon entering I was looked at and basically unacknowledged amongst the other [two] tables of patrons in the store. I had to walk up to a server and asked to be seated. Given, that one ignored me, I walked over to the older more approachable waiter who was serving a table. This action somehow gave the lazy waitress some initiative to seat me, but gave off an attitude of "I don't fucking care". Order was promptly and courteously taken by the senior staff member and delivered by him as well. Meal was excellent and exactly how my colleagues described. This was my first time here, but it may be my last. Had the lazy server taken advantage of the fact that at the end of my meal, I was the only pateon left on the top floor, I would've ordered another beverage off their menu. Instead after my meal I was completely ignored. And when I called for assistance, she walked away from the counter. It was only when i walked towards the counter and waited that she reluctantly printed my receipt for my meal. Dear lazy one, be grateful. You have a seemingly good establishment. I was really impressed. The food was excellent, portions were impressive and the prices reasonable. We had the beef Chimi and the Chicken Asada. The Chimi had large chunks of 'pot roast tender' beef - that melted in your mouth. I've always judged these types of restaurants on how well you can taste things like the lime and cilantro accents - and this was top notch. The guacamole was fresh and tasty, as was the salsa. Not that great. Server was in a hurry and didn't take my order properly, I asked for chicken and I received beef and cheese. Our plates must have sat under the heat lamps for awhile as our rice was dried out and hard and my taco was soggy with grease. We should have just went to jack and the box. read more

I do not usually write Yelp reviews, but my experience was ridiculously bad. (This was a few months ago) My first time ever coming here, the food was good, and the staff was nice. I accidentally left my designer purse here when I left, I called the next day and everyone I talked to said there was no purse there. My dad went by and my purse happened to be where he could see it. Moral of the story is the staff is shady so do not accidentally leave you belongings here. (Today) I had a bad experience the first time but decided to give it another try. This time the waiter was very rude, she gave us rude looks when we asked questions, seemed very pissed off, and would respond to us very rudely. I ordered 1 shredded beef taco and 2 cheese enchiladas. The shredded beef toco did not even have shredded beef in it, it had the kind of beef you would put in a roast. The two enchiladas had very little to no sauce on it, but my taco was laying in all the enchilada sauce, the cheese on the inside was not melted. The beans tasted worse than the regular refried beans. My boyfriend ordered a cheese quesadilla. The quesadilla was supposed to have onions, tomatoes, and sour cream and guacamole was supposed to come with it. He got a plain cheese quesadilla without onions or tomato's, we had to ask for sour cream and guacamole. Would NOT recommend coming here. read more

We stopped at the La Fiesta to pick-up some takeout food for a Christmas Eve luncheon. We order five Tamale and Taco plate lunch specials. The meals were packed safely in aluminum containers which helped with the transport of the meals. The lunch plates consisted of a large Tamale, a ground beef taco, homemade beans and rice. We also received a spicy pickled cabbage slaw that was tasty. The food of good quality and the portion size was huge. We ordered five specials for five people, and we managed to only eat 3 plates! The restaurant was clean (as were the restrooms) and the employees were professional. (An employee helped us carry our food to the car! Nice service.) I ordered the lunch tostado. It was small amount of meat covered with a ton of lettuce which covered the whole plate. The meat was good. The menu says lunch tostada is 10.99. They charged 16.99. Huge price for small amount of food. We questioned the price as the menu clearly says 10.99 but girl said the ticket was right. This place use to be our favorite but last few visits it's clearly gone downhill. read more

The food is good and your portions are big, however they are crazy expensive I spent $40 on a to go order for a super burrito and a Chicken quesadilla...idk maybe I'm a little cheap but I feel like that's a lot of money. Four of us went here for lunch and had a Fantastic experience. Jose was our server. He was very friendly and courteous and always checked how we were doing. It was lunch time so it was quite busy, our order got mixed up in the back but since we four were having such a good time we hardly noticed. Jose brought our lunch and it was Great, Large portions and still hot ( which is unusual in Fallon to get hot anything) Jose apologised numerous times for taking so long to bring our orders and comped our desert, which was not necessary. We eat here often but it is the first time that we had Jose as a server. He is Great and should get a big bonus this year! Thank you Jose for making our lunch a very enjoyable experience. read more

First time trying La Fiesta and it was a great first impression! I called to put in an order for pozole and needed enough to last me and my husband a couple days because we are sick. Picked it up not knowing the price or how big and had to change the order to two bowls instead of four because it was my fault for not asking. The guy who helped us, which I assume was a manager or owner, gave us a free bottle of Chardonnay and chips and salsa. He was so nice and accommodating to us and my mistake. The pozole is amazing! This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is amazing and the staff are incredible! I highly recommend their fajitas. They have wonderful steaks too. I have had my fair share of visiting poorly run restaurants and I am elated to say that this is NOT one of them. My husband and I have been to this restaurant many times and we always leave with a pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly and attentive to making sure the guests have everything they need and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves when we come in. It makes the atmosphere of the restaurant is very homey and they treat the guests like family- even if it is their first time going. Of course atmosphere isn't what it is all about. After all, you go there to enjoy a good meal. And while their menu does have some things that are a bit pricey, you are getting what you pay for. Not only does the food taste wonderful, the portions are huge and so there is definitely enough to take home to enjoy later. read more

We are in Fallon for one day and had three independent recommendations for La Fiesta, and it was easy to see why. The service is friendly, the food abundant and the margaritas vast, but this wasn't quantity over quality- the cabbage salsa was delicious as was the pork tostada. And the cabbage salsa looked so uninviting didn't even try it. I had the tamale & taco place. The corn mush of tamale was hard too hard to eat & the meat inside was dry. Is there any possibility for improvement of their bathrooms. They need a bathroom downstairs. Its not good for a handicap patron to have to climb stairs. I would only recommend La Fiesta to my arch rival, Nicolas Cage, or anyone interested in food poisoning and outrageous prices. Slightly terrified by the thought of eating meat products in this remote location in northern Nevada, I decided I would play it safe and order the vegetarian burrito. It cost me well over $20 for the vegetarian burrito plate, a cup of coffee that cost $3.50, tip and splitting the price of an order of churros. Three or four hours later I was greeted with an overwhelming stomach ache before vomiting, undoubtedly as the byproduct of La Fiesta. The next day I found out four other people got food poisoning as well. I thought that maybe the restaurant got bad produce or something, and maybe it was an isolated incident. Hours later someone who had been to Fallon many times before told me, "... nobody said anything to you? A few people always get sick when they go there. It happens every time." If it is any consolation, the portions are large, and I was served enough beans and rice to feed two or three people. That being said, among those who have the distinct pleasure of visiting Fallon, Nevada, it is a well known fact that people get sick when they eat at La Fiesta. If you want Mexican food in Fallon, try the Panaderia Azteca Bakery; the food is good, reasonably priced with good customer service. If your idea of a "fiesta" is blowing chunks over a toilet after spending too much money, I recommend La Fiesta. read more

Not a fan of their salsa they serve with the chips because i like more of a chunky salsa like pico but that's just me. I had a chili Verde burrito which is what I had last time but this time it was quite a bit smaller, I'd say half the size but flavors were good. My wife had fish tacos which had only a small amount of tilapia in them with the flavor being very bland also without any lime to squeeze on them for $16.00 quite a rip-off. We did get some limes from a friendly bus boy however. The waitress had no personality and when our food was finished it was delivered by a hostess or manager who basically just threw it on the table stating "hot plates" and ran off. the place was getting a little busy, maybe they were just freaking out because of that. 1 word: MARGARITA ;) I'm horribly picky when it comes to Margaritas,,,, lets just say I had a bad experience with tequila a long time ago & sometimes the smell of it gives me flashbacks, lol! So I asked the waiter if they could make me a margarita with no pre-mix, fresh squeezed lime only & silver tequila. What he brought me was a masterpiece! It was exactly what I asked for PLUS the bar tender added his own twist & put some citrus in it... SOOOO YUMMY!! I had 2 :D Add to the above that their food is delicious & you have the best Mexican food, not only in this city, but I'm pretty sure within 100 miles all the way around, lol I've had the TAQUITOS AL PASTOR & the ENCHILADAS SUIZAS with extra sauce. For Mexican food in Fallon, this place is pretty darn good. The rice and beans are nice, simple and delicious. The chili relleno is chock full of cheese as well as the enchiladas. They have a nice spicy mushroom/octopus dish that if you are in the mood for seafood, it really hits the spot. I like the choices of flour and corn tortillas for tacos. And they are generous with chips and salsa. Sometimes, you'll get a ton of guacamole or sliced avocado. I guess the downside might be no refills on drinks. And a plate charge for to go food, but this place is worth it. read more

If not the best restaurant in Fallon (competing with The Slanted Door and The Courtyard Cafe & Bakery), it is the best Mexican restaurant for sure. The place is huge, they even have a downstairs area with more dining tables. The staff was nice and quick to help you out. I had a delicious carne asada steak which came with really good sides.
