The complimentary chips and salsa were good, we ordered a side of queso it was fair. I ordered the enchilada Mexicana, which consisted of one cheese enchilada, one ground beef enchilada and one chicken enchilada, refried beans and rice. My friend order the beef street tacos. My wife and I went here for dinner as a change from the restaurant that we had been going to for Mexican food. It's always a risk when you don't go to eat a your favorite place, where you know you can get a good meal, and try new place. This time, it worked out actually for the better. I ordered the happy burrito dinner which consisted of two steak burritos and rice with refried beans. My wife ordered chicken enchiladas and normally they come with a Verde sauce, but you substitute white queso for it instead. My steak was marinated and there was so much steak in the burritos that you would call them stuffed. The beans were really good as was the rice. The rice was soft, seasoned well and they were actually vegetables in it. My wife's enchiladas were really good also. They had bell peppers in them in the meet with seasons well and it taste it as if it had been stewed and cooked for a long time that way to infuse the flavors. The service is exceptional. Every time our drinks for low, server came and filled them up. He also brought us chips and salsa I believe three times without an issue. You might think that this was maybe a one time thing, but it isn't. We've now been there three times and every time we go it's the same experience. The food is excellent. The service is excellent and their chips and salsa are amazing. The price is great as well. I believe my steak burrito dinner was $12 and my wife's enchiladas were about the same price. You definitely won't leave hungry and maybe, like we did, you'll find a new favorite Mexican restaurant. There are a lot of Mexican restaurants here in Bartlesville. We've been to I think four or five of them and this is the best. read more

Upon arriving at the restaurant we were greeted and seated immediately. The restaurant is clean and roomy. The chips and was delivered to our table quickly. I forgot how much I love there hot sauce which is absolutely amazing. I forgot how much I love the salad there. I ordered a Chile relleno & pork tamale with rice and beans & my husband order flautas with rice and beans. On the chilie relleno plate the chilie relleno was cold and cheese wasn't melted and the red sauce on top tasted like what they use for spaghetti os. The tamale was okay but not really any seasoning to it. The beans and rice was really good. My husband said his flauta plate was very good. At least one meal was good tonight on our 21st anniversary. We were going to go to the new restaurant that took over taco bueno but they were super super busy and came here instead. We should have waited but oh well.. read more

So good, we went twice in a few days. Hottest hot sauce is really hot, so you may want to mix with the regular salsa. I eat Mexican all the time in other cities and surprisingly, this is the best. I took my brother in law telling him the food was really good. The food was great as I had expected. It was hot and flavorful, great. I would have given five stars, but the service was awful. The waitress was slow, she was inattentive, she got our order wrong, twice. we had to ask twice for about everything, we even asked another waiter for help one time, she just wasn't interested in serving us. She needs to change occupations, she will starve as a waitress. Her service is why they only get two stars. I will not go back. read more

The restaurant has a unique Mexican decor including their furniture. The sofa seats do require new upholstery though. Between three adults we split two Molcajete Mexicano. This was a great dish but it were missing the nopal cactus (main reason that I ordered it) as they ran out of it. The presentation and service was also good. read more

Mediocre Tex-Mex food. Definitely a step up from Taco Bell or other fast food joints but not remotely authentic or flavorful. Mostly canned stuff served in standard fashion. If you have to go here the Fajitas are probably the best thing available. The restaurant is colorful in a generic Mexican restaurant way and they do have an outdoor patio which you can smoke at so that's a plus if you're a smoker. Decent food...poor customer service. We decided Mexican food sounded good, so we stopped in. The marker board outside read "2 kids eat free per table". After checking the terrible kid's menu full of fried American fast food, we ordered our son a lunch special. The over-the-top decor aside, the food was reasonably good. The waiter hard to find at times when we needed something. When the bill arrived, it included the cost of our Son's meal. "Mondays Kids Ear Free" is printed at the bottom of the bill. When I pointed it out to the waiter, he said it only applied to the kids menu. I offered to pay the difference, but the Manager refused to accept or discount in any way, stating "everybody knows". There was leftovers all over the walkway as I came upon the entrance. Bad omen from the get go. Kitchen was about to close when I went so my expectations were not high, but it was inedible. Ordered a fajita quesadilla, barely any peppers or onions on it, cheese was a cheese sauce (is this supposed to be OK? Because it's not) and it seemed only held together from the oil chicken was (cooked?) In. It in no way tasted good and was thrown out after one bite. After a 9 hour drive, I was hungry for sure so if this had even been mediocre I would have gladly enjoyed. Taco Bell would have been a better option. read more

The service was less than ok. We were rushed by the waiter to place our order yet once our food arrived, the waiter disappeared. I took two bites of the food and put my fork down. Took forever to be seated let alone to be noticed. Staff was too busy with conversation among one another . Ordered "side table" guacamole and was not made at our table. "Side table" guacamole was incredibly chunky and half assed made. Didn't have jalapenos in it yet green peppers as substitute. Food was bland. Chorizo was over powered with seasonings and had a cinnamon taste to it. Chili Colorado was awful! The sauce tasted like tomato sauce that came from a can and tasted as if Heinz 57 Ketchup had been added. Too many vegetables and not enough meat. Waiter was rude and inattentive. The decor of restaurant was sloppy and the ceiling looked like a stripper joint. Lighting was awful. Steak was not properly cut strips and had veins and what looked like arteries still attached to it. Salsa was bland and was not homemade. (Restaurant states Authentic food) Booths felt sticky and dirty. It took forever to flag down waiter to get check and to go boxes. (Yet again conversations going among staff) Once we did get check and boxes the waiter came over with a bag and started shoving our boxes in the bag. Very hateful. (We never complained once while there) My fiance and I spent over 50 bucks there just for the two of us. We will never again dine at this awful place deemed as the "Best" Mexican restaurant. One of the things that I look for in a restaurant, particularly when I'm eating there once or twice a month (as I often am during business trips), is good customer service. This place has that and then some. After only visiting the restaurant two or three times, the waitstaff knew me by name, always sat me at the same table, didn't mind catering to my special food desires (more cheese, please), and would often times sit down and have a little chat with me in broken spanish. One waiter, who was trying to learn to speak better english, would always ask me about what books I was reading (I always have a book date on my dinner excursions). It was nice to be recognized as a familiar face in a town so far from my own home. The food is decent for Mexican food in a smallish town in Oklahoma. I never have high expectations for Mexican when I'm anywhere surrounded by tick-infested fields in the Great Plains region of the U.S., but I would say that their food exceeded my expectations. I generally get the spinich enchiladas because they use fresh spinich and it's one of the healthier options on the menu. And, I negate the healthiness by drowning it in a delicious cheese sauce, that is by far one of my favorite things about this restaurant other than the staff. I'm not sure of their margaritas as they appear to be pre-made in a slurpee type machine. But, they do have a nice selection of Mexican beers that are always served in a chilled and salted glass. Even when you don't ask for the salt. It's also in a nice location if you're staying on Hotel Row, or Washington Place. On a street that's surrounded by fast food, chains, and really bad chinese food, this is a pleasant surprise. And the colorfully painted booths will be sure to make you smile if nothing else does. read more

Although service was punctual what they brought was unfit for human consumption. The black beans were tasteless and the meat looked like animal feed - poor animals! My wife's chicken was dry and pounded into oblivion. I ordered one of La Fiesta's "Los Steaks" from the Spanglish menu, and apparently that means fatty, tough gristle in Spanglish because that's what I received. The steak was well done even by Hiroshima 1945 standards and I was given the fun project of trimming six ounces of fat off. I sincerely hope our prison population eats higher quality food. Was told we would get a free kids meal with every adult entree purchased, but that was untrue and told us after we had ordered meals and came time to pay. I couldn't eat much of my meal on the last visit-- I think it was the cheese sauce that was the issue, everything else, rice, beans, chile relleños, chips and salsa, seemed otherwise fine. I'm a truck driver and stayed in Bartlesville for a 34 hour reset. Walked to la fiesta and after reading some reviews wasn't sure how well this would turn out. But let me tell you, if your in town and want the the best fajitas you ever had, you have to try this place. Service was great a young man Garron waited on me and was very nice and professional. Place was clean the pina fajitas is steak chicken and shrimp grilled with onion green and red peppers and pineapple and served in a half pineapple that is grilled also just wonderful and the best fajitas I've every had. All the fixings beans rice and the rest you would have with fajitas, on a side not I generally don't eat the rice because it's just never quite right however it was very good also. I would have gave them 5 stars but it was a little on the warm set inside other than that the place is worth checking but maybe a little later in the day it was 3 in the afternoon and like a 100 degrees outside which may be reason it so hot. read more

Extensive menu, in fact almost overwhelming. You won't believe the selection here. Lot's of EVERYTHING. And good prices and great tasting. Had 2 different Chicken dishes at our table and they were both great. The margarita was great as well, in fact I would have had another if the waiter had come back to check on us. This is the only reason that I don't give this place a 5 star rating. The service was less than the best. Sure he took our order, it came out right but he never really checked on us to see if we needed anything else (hint...my Margarita glass was empty, sat on the edge of the table long before I ever got half done with my meal). I never quite understand this as the tip is always figured on the service AND the total tab. Overall, the food was great and while it was fairly busy (Friday night) the service could have been better.
