PRICE GOUGING! Have been here many times before and always the drinks come with free refills, Today, I was charged for the original and separately for the refill. The waiter (who was only doing as told) said it was because of a boil water order in town. However, they are serving drinks just the same as always, but used the situation to double charge us. I'd like to start out by saying my wife and I have visited this restaurant three times. All three times, we have ordered their catfish dinner. The food is amazing! The fish was really really good and everything else we had there was really good. The third time (5/5/24) was the exception to what I have said, above. The the portions were not correct and the fish was cold... The french fries were tiny overcooked hard pieces about an inch and a half long... Whereas before we had received hot and fresh french fries that were correct length. Received silverware was dirty with food on it. I ordered a soup and when it came out, it had dirty crusted food on the bowl right next to where the soup was located. The drinkware smelled like wet dog and did not seem to be clean. So, I politely asked for a manager, and there was no manager on duty. There was only a team lead (Liz). I asked them to remake the soup and our meals. She said she would and that she would give us 50% off of our meal. She did not apologize. She did not come to check if the items were correct after they were remade. She did not honor the 50% off as she had promised. Overall, she acted like we were being unreasonable... as did other staff members. We were very polite the entire time. We were seated where we could overhear conversations in the kitchen, and there was a loudmouth dark haired server who was sitting at the bar. He said things like: "Hey Liz, there's a fingerprint on this bowl... You better hurry up and get on over there run... Oh, he's taking it to go (soup)... They're just being a A holes (for politely asking for hot food and clean dinnerware)..." Liz chuckled over situation and his words (!) Additionally, the server placed a very hot macaroni and cheese in front of our infant. It was so hot it burnt her own hand. The server did not know the menu and did not know how to write the things down properly on a ticket. She did not come back to check to see if we need refills or how the food tasted. The table was dirty and sticky. Liz was eating in the back kitchen area, over to the right of the line and came out, licking her fingers while walking through the bar area and then went straight over and took somebody's order after doing that and this is before she came over to assist us with the aforementioned remakes. I took the soup to go because I wasn't sure that they didn't spit in it or something after how they were cussing about it and talking about us in the kitchen. I did not end up eating it and, overall, the whole thing was a waste of money and time. There were at least a few people who deserve to be fired due to their unprofessional character and conduct. We will never be back and I will tell everybody that I know this experience was. read more

Sorry I have to change my review of this place, but the Owner of this place does not care about his customers. My family and I go here to eat out here either Saturday or Sunday just about every weekend. As ever body know we had snow today and did not want my mom and day to get out today. I did not want one of them to get hurt so I was going to get some take out. My dad has Dementia so it is hard to find something he will eat. I was there to order four meals to go. The waitress was very nice and knows who my dad is. I was going to order a meal for him off of the senior menu because there is a meal on there he likes. She went to talk to the owner, and he would not let me order it because he was not there. Also was going to order 3 more meals off of the regular menu. All in all, was going to order 4 meals. So, if the owner was to treat their customers like this, he does need my business anymore. When it snows outside and you want to make sure your family is safe by getting takeout food this is not the place to go this owner see us walk through his door almost every weekend to support his business this is no way to treat your customers. My dad is 89 years old and has Dementia. The owner picked up the menu in front of me put it back up and went back into his office. I walked out and went to give my business elsewhere. We've been here a few times, it's always clean and the wait staff is attentive. My favorite is the hot hamburger, comes with your choice of white or brown gravy. My husband and I came in for breakfast today. Each of us ordering a skillet breakfast. Mine came from the kitchen at room temp or lower. The hashbrowns were "steamed" at most, there was no crispness or browning to them. The dish was not hot enough to melt the sprinkled cheese on top. I said nothing, ate my sampler cakes at the restaurant and took the skillet home. How sad that I would have to take my dish to go and place it in the air fryer at home to get it to a temperature appropriate for consumption. read more

I have not been a fan of this place. A year or 2 ago my MIL wanted to eat here. Had the Chicken fred steak. It was horrible. Mystery Meat. So as you can imagone I wasnt happy about returning for my MIL birthday. They have changed their recipe and have better quality meats. I ordered Chicken Fried Chicken... It was So Good! I was happily supprised. Mashed potatoes were ok, gravy was good as was the dinner salad. Waitress was wonderful especially for us having 15 people in our party. My opinion has changed. They won't do substitutions for some reason, so that's annoying. I wanted the meal with a pancake and eggs, but I don't eat meat so I asked to switch out the bacon or sausage for hash browns and the waitress said "no problem" when I ordered, but when I received my food they told me they couldn't substitute on this almost $10.00 meal. And they had put the bacon on top of the eggs anyway. Thanks for that. They said I could order some hash browns on the side... Duh! Obviously I know that, but that wasn't the point in the beginning otherwise I would've just done that. It was just an annoying thing that most other restaurants do, that this place didn't do and couldn't let me know prior to the food coming out. Service is okay. Food was okay. Best tasting Starbucks almond milk skinny lattes I've ever had!! This is after having Starbucks at almost every state in the United States. Coming from the best known places to get coffee (Oregon & Washington) they beat all the coffee stands and Starbucks locations. That on top of the pancakes. Which are delicious! I enjoy going to Eggberts. It is reliable for all the breakfast items and the service is good. I like some of the entrees a lot, too, especially the shrimp dinner with a baked potato and dinner salad. Other entrees, I'm not as keen on, like the hamburgers, they are pretty bland, and the main course salads aren't too tempting because the lettuces used are very plain, so for those I'd rather go elsewhere. But, it's a solid standby and the prices are reasonable. Oh, and they did a fabulous job with a birthday breakfast for twelve in the Starbuck's area-- really super, I'd do that again. read more

Wow, that was a horrible experience! I understand being short staffed, been there, done that in restaurants myself, but this place is horribly disorganized. we stood for almost 10 minutes, waiting to be seated (with plenty of tables available.) Once we were seated we sat and sat (easily 15 minutes)...no one ever came to take our drink order much less our breakfast order no one even looked at us, and I kept holding my menu up trying to get someone's attention...and servers came to the table close to us, still we were ignored. Finally, we walked out and gave our business to IHOP where we wear seated, given drinks and had our orders taken in no more than 10 minutes and they were equally as busy and short handed. Let's save time this year and get our Thanksgiving dinner from Eggbert's. Eggbert's always has huge portions, right--WRONG! What a ripoff--$17.99 per person for the tiniest pile of slop. Not a single slice of turkey in this "dinner"--just a few "pulled pork"-style shreds on a scoop of dressing, with everthing slathered in gravy. And the "sides" were nothing more than an afterthough--small, nearly hidden dollops with a roll the size of a sparrow's egg. I could've gotten more food for free at the Salvation Army or a homeless shelter. I've thrown away more leftovers after Thanksgiving than what Eggbert's gives you for $17.99. And it wasn't like I got there just before closing time at the end of the day. I placed my order at 6 AM and picked it up as early as I possibly could to make sure I didn't get skimped on a serving. What a mistake! I should've bought a Banquet frozen dinner instead. It would've cost a lot less and I would've had more food to eat. Fool me once Eggbert's, shame on you! But you'll never fool me again because I am never coming back. Ruining a person's Thanksgiving and robbing them of $17.99 is no way to stay in business. Thinking of eating at Eggbert's? I called in an order on Sunday morning and asked for the sausage scrambler with the sausage on the side. When I went to pick it up I realized they only gave me three sausage patties.. don't know how that confusion occurred but ok. They remake my order and AGAIN it was wrong. They cooked the sausage in the egg which was the ONLY substitution I asked for Worst experience I've ever had a restaurant and I was a server for 6 years so I do know a thing or two. Never going here again and definitely won't recommend it to anybody. read more

I am giving this place 5 stars for their expansive menu but more importantly for the legit sweet potato pancakes that are really made from scratch. They're super healthy compared to the ones I have ate at Snooze. They are as fluffy tasting per se, but you can taste the real sweet potato in every bite and it isn't regular pancakes with pieces of sweet potato. The turkey sausage was really good as well as it was super light and not greasy at all. The coffee is good and they use Starbucks coffee. If you are ever caught in Bartlesville for whatever reason, eat breakfast here. read more

Great staff, cozy atmosphere, and a Starbucks in house! We enjoyed our breakfast and coffee, and we would recommend this diner. We ate here on thanksgiving morning, so the A class chefs were probably home with their families. There were a few disappointments such as over easy eggs arriving over medium and over hard, and some burnt bits on the plate with the waffles. But overall we were satisfied. So as I travel and eat at many different places in different cities I've learned when I write reviews to look for 5 different categories and to be honest and fair on these 5 things. The five things that are important to me are as follows and Eggberts is ranked by each. Cleanliness/decor-5 the place was extremely clean and looked like it was recently remodeled with a fabulous granite countertop breakfast bar with bar stools. professionalism -5 they had professional signs/menu/attire/service areas (even a Starbucks brand coffee shop located within) customer service-5 absolutely wonderful, we were told good morning by an employee who looked as though she was going outside on break, we were greeted again at entrance, we were immediately seated and drink order was taken then. The menu was large and the waitress was very patient and helpful in my selection. She was an all around sweet person and my tip assured her of that. I overheard her talking with an elderly couple next to us and she was extremely accommodating to them and made them feel welcomed like family. I had two other waitress come by several times to tip off my coffee! It never got below a couple sips and was never warm. Superb service! fair price for quality of food-5 we walked out with only a $17 ticket and tummys full. That ticket included two meals, extra gravy, coffee and a soft drink! That's a great price! taste/quality of food for location-5 we loved our food, the biscuit and gravy was one of the best I've ever had (including mom's) eggs were fresh and hash browns were cooked just right (per my picky husband). Now is this place a true 5 star restaurant with 5 star prices, no! However being that it hit all of my espectatio. Of what it should be then I feel it deserved all 5 stars. I have heard such mixed reviews about Eggbert's, but since they reopened after a major renovation, it's one of our favorite places. We have always had excellent service, the food prices are reasonable, and it's always fresh and hot when it arrives at our table. There's a small Starbucks located inside with gourmet chocolates and cupcakes also. The cupcakes are too sweet for me, but that's my only complaint. Even regular coffee at the table is great, and the Sundowner skillet is awesome! I rated 5 stars because for what it is, it's perfect - even interior is above average for a cheap breakfast place. Not even worth one star. I order the spinach and mushroom omelet and it had to be sent back 4 times. Either the order was wrong or it had hair in the food. Asked for manager and he/she never came to the table. We went there to eat and when she brought the ticket my husband said are you not going to make food. She said oh you still want it. HELL yea I want food but cooked correctly. Hello I did go there to eat. They did take the meal off the ticket but never asked if I wanted anything else to eat which I was hungry.
