You can tell that the recipes have been tampered with to fit the local taste buds but still not so far off that the provide table salt limes, pepper sauce, and pepper could not achieve to much of a flavor profile. La Fiesta is a great place to visit for drink deals on Mondays and Wednesdays. On Mondays the deal is Half-Priced margaritas and on Wednesdays it is half priced beer. The restaurant itself is very colorful and a fun environment! Their menu says that they charge extra for additional salsa and chips but I have never been charged for them during meals. The waitstaff is friendly and professional but often struggles to get orders correct during my visits (I do not make any modifications to the menu). The last time I visited the entire table was on separate checks . When we were instructed to try to pay online through clover the checks were split up but there was only the option to pay the tab in full. This led to some headache during the payment process. I hope this new payment method is improved on in the future. read more

If there was a way to put zero stars I would!!! I have never ever done a bad review on a place! For the simple fact of the matter is I used to work in the food industry and know how hard it can be and sometimes things just happen that's not in their control. Also let me put out there that I am Spanish. Half white half Mexican. The Mexican side of my family raised me. My friend and I were starving and we're really excited to go in and eat lunch. She's on a high risk pregnancy to where she has to eat every hour and a half because her and her baby are not gain weight very well. We were seated and I am always extremely nice saying thank you and please. First of all the girl that gave us chips and salsa was really rude and must've had a bad day but we were still nice to her and shook it off. Our waitress was nice. We ordered food and waited. Our food came and Our waitressed left in a hurry. I quickly realized what I ordered was not what I got. So I patiently waited and had to make my friend eat her food because she felt bad for me. The waitress came back with another lady and I told them that that was not what I wanted and explain to them what I wanted. I was told I couldn't get what I wanted. Even though I was willing to pay extra to get exactly what I wanted. Very weird. So then they offered "why don't you just get what your friend got" At this point I'm shocked ! I said fine.... so they Bring me a burrito with beans and rice. I go to eat the burrito and it is disgusting... Just mushy ground beef inside and tasted like a can of tomato soup poured over it! I looked at my friend and she looked at me and told me "I have to eat something I can't wait any longer" she hated eating it but at this point she had to for the sake of her and her pregnancy. she had to eat this disgusting food. But I didn't because I wasn't pregnant LOL I ate the beans and rice didn't touch the burrito. The waitress came back and took my plate and I told her that the burrito was disgusting. That this whole experience was disgusting. Meanwhile the waitress and some other girls were talking in Spanish not knowing that I knew what they were saying. Pretty much making fun of us, And watching my friend eat, which was very uncomfortable for her. We get up to go and asked the girl at the register if she was the manager. She informed me that she was with an attitude and wouldn't look at me in the eye. I Went on telling her on how I was not pleased with our lunch visit today and went to tell her the reason why ... FIRST she CUTS ME OFF BY SAYING " well it's a free Country!" And kept saying it... at this point I said "how are you just gonna cut me off like that! " again ITS A FREE Country I was told. Then A 5'6 300 pound man came stood next to her. And just stared at me so I stared back and said "what are you supposed to be intimidating!! Because trust me your NOT!" At this point I'm livid!! I was also told in that conversation that their main priority is not customer service and they can do and please what they want... That's the risk we take on walking into a there restaurant. As a native Californian, this is by far the most authentic Mexican food restaurant in Manhattan. The bottomless chips and salsa are quite good. Fajitas are possibly the best deal on the menu. You receive a TON of food and the meat comes out sizzling hot (as fajitas always should be). Service is friendly and relatively attentive. They accommodate large groups and they do not mind splitting checks. Favorite dish was the Fajita Chimichanga. Very hearty and filling plus it is huge! We were in town to visit our daughter who is attending KState and headed here for a late lunch. It was OK. Some things good, some - not so much. The decor is nice and bright - like a party ;)! The service was great throughout the meal. We had 6 thirsty people drinking water and eating chips and salsa and we didn't have to look around and wonder when we were getting refills. The chicken dinners and fajitas were great. My daughter had chicken tacos and her friend had a quesadilla which was huge. They said they chicken meat was flavorful. I had the lunch portion fajitas. They didn't come out on a "sizzle" plate, but they were good. I had the mixed chicken and steak. Decent amount of meat, the vegetables were good and well seasoned. The rice was decent also. Then, the ground beef. My husband ordered nachos. They were literally only meat cheese and chips. The ground beef did not have any seasoning or flavor. He took some of my veggies and then smothered them with salsa to get some flavor. My son had the ground beef tacos. Same thing, no flavor. Will we come back? Probably. Made a solo trip to La Fiesta on a Friday night for an early dinner while waiting on an evening conference to start. The place was fairly busy, bustled with chatter and server moving about quickly. I sat in a booth in the bar area. Server was great. Ordered the beef fajita nachos -- holy smokes -- what a portion! There was so much! I ate 1/4 of it and barely put a dent in it. The steak, peppers, onion, and mushrooms were seasoned perfectly. Topped with white cheese and crunchy chips. It was somewhat greasy but nothing to gripe about. Margaritas were good. If you just want a couple of drinks with some chips and salsa than give it a try. Food?? not so much. Had the Chili Verde and tamales on my first trip. Not good at all. The carnitas in my chili Verde were WAY overcooked and most likely old. The tamales, while full of a generous portion of meat, had no flavor. I believe they have a special every night. We went on a Tuesday and they had 24oz margaritas for $6 and free dessert! It seems they have a margarita special most, if not everyday! We've eaten here several times and enjoyed it until tonight. From the time we walked in the service was truly terrible. The table and menus were dirty. The young lady who delivered the chips and salsa slammed them on the table like she was upset we were there. I had to ask the waiter twice to get the beer I ordered. My wife ordered guacamole which we never got. He charged us fot the guac but took the drinks off the bill. My wife's food wasn't seasoned. When I paid the bill at the counter and the young lady asked how things were I said "The service kind of sucked". Her response was an insincere "Sorry about that". No offer to speak to the manager standing behind her. I paid, informed her we wouldn't be coming back, and dropped the pen on the counter before I list my temper.
