When plans to visit another Mexican restaurant a few blocks away fell through due to the long wait times to get a table, we had to find a new plan for dinner and stumbled across Mi Tierra...and I sure am glad we did. I'm a big fajitas fan and often order a variation of that at any Mexican restaurant we visit, and the Alambre fajitas might have just become my favorite I've EVER had. They were delicious! We also enjoyed the Pollo Hawaiano and a side of Elotes Street Corn. Mi Tierra had a hole-in-the-wall vibe that I loved with great service and even better food. It wasn't awful or anything but compared to the other Mexican places in town it ranks low. Very limited menu. Service was not good at all. Only one gal working but only about 15 folks eating. Definitely could have used a bartender to do the drinks for her but not the case. Anyway, the queso is bland. It's just melted cheese with nothing else in it. Two of us, eating what I would consider a small plate of food, came to $31 and no alcohol was purchased. Too many better choices out there to go back. Sorry. read more

Even if you can ignore the small portions and high prices, the staff constantly tried to upsell us on everything even to the point we had to be very blunt with them. Also it's been the only experience at a Mexican restaurant where they seem reluctant to give their customers chips and salsa. It hurts to leave a bad review because I used to absolutely love this place, but ever since the new management a few months ago it is nowhere near the same. I hope they can figure it out and turn things around because it is sad to see the inside of that place empty (and in its current state I can see why). read more

The food here is amazing!! Very authentic and the environment was overall very warm and welcoming. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, and provided us with great service. We got the street tacos, margarita flight, and the enchiladas. Highly recommend this place! read more

Mi Tierra is the newest Mexican restaurant in town. It took over the space that used to be Bimibap on 11th Street. The first time I tried the food, Eric R. picked up lunch for me and brought it home. I was thrilled because they sell lengua, and so I got lengua tacos. They were delicious and did not get soggy in transit. We returned last week after axe throwing nearby with another couple. I orderd lengua tacos again, and a house made horchata. Eric R. and I shared the horchata. It was creamy and nicely not so sweet. The chips and salsa were tasty too, and our friends ordered queso also. I did ask for tomatillo sauce with the tacos and that was not brought out, but the tacos were tasty without that so it was fine. Service was great. I probably should try something else on the menu, but I really love lengua and it is hard to find (except to purchase uncooked at the farmer's market)! You'll order 50$ worth of food, the guy will sit outside your house with it for 10-15 minutes asking you to verify your address. When you tell him it again he will drive back to the store. When you call they will tell you that there's nothing they can do but send you 3 hour old food and watered down drinks but it will be at least 45 minutes before they send it back out. Then when you tell them you would like a refund instead they will give you the run around that you have to go through uber when you order through them and the charge on your card even shows their name. Then they will "start" the refund for you telling you 3-5 days but still over a week later you do not get it but you have no one to contact anymore because they blocked you. Rip off, lying cheats just to make a buck. If you want the food eat in otherwise you will waste money and get nothing. read more

Greeted immediately upon entering by a friendly guy who, when beginning to seat us, noticed one of the booth benches needed a quick wipe & took care of it. Varied menu-so many choices & well priced. Friend chose fajitas, I had the taco plate. Very good. The queso was probably the favorite this time; chips & salsa also tasty. Everything was fresh & order taker also attentive & friendly. We were visiting family in Manhattan, KS and found this restaurant. This place we found in Manhattan was very inviting and had good vibes. We were greeted with a smile and great service. We were seated and were given warm tortilla chips and red salsa. The chips nice and crispy and the salsa was on point and not too hot. We ordered our food and everything was delicious! The food was nice and hot served right away rather than some places where the food sits. The cheese sauce on my Chicken Chimichanga was so creamy 5/5. My Chile Relleno was 5/5! I will say the beef enchilada was a bit different than the regular beef enchilada in California but still good 4/5. Rice was fluffy and seasoned well. Our daughter had a grilled cheese and fries. It was your normal taste. The soda and water we ordered did come in huge glasses that was nice. If you're ever in Manhattan, Kansas come and eat here and you'll enjoy it. They play great music! Food was delicious. I order the A La Veracruzana and my husband ordered the Burrito Sancho. The rice and beans were delicious and better than most here in Manhattan. My toddlers had the quesadillas and the chicken nugget meal which I definitely tried. Very good. The spiked jarrito was so flavorful that we couldn't taste the alcohol which is--dangerous. Atmosphere reminded me of home. Definitely will be coming back. read more

The food is amazing! We have been several times and loved everything we tried. They have great drinks as well! The service is phenomenal! We called ahead because we had a group of 20 and they decorated our tables and even got balloons to help celebrate our son coming home and our friends' wedding. This is our go-to spot! read more
