BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN KANSAS!!! I moved to Kansas over a year ago from Texas, and until last night I have been most disappointed by the food in this state. I will gladly drive from Manhattan to Wamego for this food. I got a giant sampler plate and everything was delicious. The Queso was perfect, salsa was delicious. I have nothing bad to say. Even the decor was over the top, and interesting. I can't wait to go back. After we ate we watched the fireworks from the patio, and the staff treated us great the entire time. read more

A few of the yelp reviews convinced me that it was worth trying -- and, those reviews didn't disappoint! I came here with my kids, after missing Wizard Of Oz open hours -- so, we stopped to eat, before finding a hotel in the area. Chips and yummy salsa arrived quickly after we were seated. I had the shrimp fajitas. My daughter and son both had the cheese enchiladas w/ beans and rice, and my youngest ate the beans and rice with lettuce from my fajita plate, in tortilla wraps. Everyone loved their food! My 5 year old told me that I needed to "write them a really good review mommy!" And, so here it is! Friendly, fast service. Excellent, tasty food. Went there for dinner with the family. As soon as we sat down they brought chips and salsa, that was nice because it kept my kids happy while waiting for our food. I had the CA burrito was very good. The meat was well seasoned and the avocado was refreshing. My husband had the ribeye. We thought it was a little dry and under seasoned. The kids had the tacos which were pretty good. La Hacienda is a great combination of Mexican resteraunt and all-purpose grocery store. I absolutely love it! Everything is extremely reasonably priced, and the majority of the staff speaks both Spanish and English, and are equally friendly in both. My favorite thing to eat at the resteraunt is the tacos, they give you two for around $1.39. They're fresh, delicious, and extremely traditional. I recommend this resteraunt to everyone and anyone who ask for a recommendation. It's by far the best in town in my book! read more

The cheese dip is good, but the quality of the restaurant itself seems a little bit sketchy. When you look into the kitchen, it will gross you out. The food is always pretty mushy and not worth the price. The chips are very crunchy and almost burnt. The bathrooms are disgusting and there is always toilet paper all over the floors. I love this place. Best queso ever (ask for a large or else they'll give you a tiny amount) and it's an authentic Mexican restaurant. Price is reasonable and menu has lots of options. Service and food were on par for such a small town.

My wife and I went there for Saturday evening dinner. They greeted us soon as we walked in and Chips and Salsa. Waiters were good and the food was great! Margaritas were a dollar and Bud bottles were a 1.75. Good time will be back! read more

I found hairs all in my food and there were a bunch of little kids working there I think they should fire them and hire actually good waiters instead of a bunch of little kids. the food wasn't even good its not worth spending your money there I would rather eat food out of a trash can. read more

The beer was cold and the water tasted good but that was all that was good. The service wasn't bad but the ground beef tasted like it was spoiled. The chips tasted burnt and the salsa had no flavor. I ordered an enchilada, burrito and chile con queso. The chile con queso was a flat crispy tortilla with hamburger and cheese on it. Not cheese dip like you would find at most other restaurants.
